Official "Castle" thread! Spoilers welcomed!

Hope you're all ready for tonight - it sounds like it will be intense!

I understand that they do a good job of using flashbacks to refresh everyone's memories of 3XK/Kelly, but this is an interesting fan made video:

It's already aired in Canada, and from the tweets I've seen it's very intense.

Even though I guessed what would happen at the end, I'm still: OMG! And that promo!

Last night was a really good episode. I have thought this season was kinda a dud to this point so I'm happy to see the gang all back together and the intensity back in a big way. Can't wait til next week's episode!

OK, time for thoughts on "Resurrection"

I've decided not to word this the way I usually do, with "loved" and such since this was an intense, roller coaster ride of an episode. I really did love the episode, but it's the opposite of light and fluffy and I just don't feel that format works for a review.

I did love the first scene in the loft - with Martha thanking Rick for his advice. Loved how he took her "debt" to mean she was going to pay him back. I really loved Alexis's answer to her dad - loved his "not cool" - loved the kiss on Kate's cheek - Kate's "bye, bud". Loved Rick and Kate discussing the kiss, which turned into a discussion of a baby. Loved the look on Rick's face when he realized she was thinking about it.

And then that was pretty much the end of light and fluffy.

First off, Nathan Fillion was fantastic. The interrogation scenes - especially the ones with "Mike Boudreau" and Castle alone - were perfect - no banging of fists on the table - just quiet, intense questions and answers. And when he talks to Tyson about the way the newest victim looks just like Gretchen Cutler and the fact that Kelly Nieman is creating his victims for him now - "just like live stock" - woah! His questioning of Tyson about "mommy" was great too. And his line about putting the genie back in the bottle and Tyson not being a genie - "Who wants three wishes from him?" was a little bit of comic relief.

And Michael Mosely and Annie Wersching were fantastic as well. This show has always done a great job with guest stars, but these two are the cream of the crop. I find myself hoping they'll get away again just so we can see them again.

Kelly's line - "I never forget a face. Especially if I cut it." just gave me chills.

Also liked Castle's observation on parents: "parents who keep insisting they aren't terrible, are terrible"

Knew there was some significance to the 911 caller's name

Lanie is really good at her job. And I liked the cool way they collected the fingerprint

I knew Kate would be the one to get Rick back in the precinct. I think Gates was happy he was back - loved Espo giving Kate the good news with a smile on his face, and loved Kate's smile as she got the news.

Rick with his "dubious distinction"

The tooth - I knew that the DNA wasn't going to match, but if it had, how would they have proved that the tooth was Tyson's? I did wonder if they should have checked MB's parents for his DNA, but I bet MB's parents are dead.

I liked the discussion of Tyson's toys - "what did you expect? dead animals, shrunken heads?"

Of course, I knew that Kate was walking into a trap at the end - I think everyone knew that. And I expected Kate to be kidnapped, but when it happened, I still jumped. And the shot of her hand hanging limply as she was wheeled away - blood chilling.

And OMG - the creepy walk of Tyson/Nieman out of the precinct - the hand holding, Rick realizing why they were there, his call to Beckett, her answering "the" call (which of course was a different one) and hearing that song, Nieman getting that call, and Tyson's WINK????? my goodness, what an ending!

Now some guesses for part 2:

Kate won't die (well, duh), but they will think she's dead for a bit, but it's a double.

Gates will support Castle. Even after what he does in that sneak peek

I really don't know if those two baddies will get away or will be killed. I want them dead, but a part of me loves the creepy badness they bring to the table.

Those are my first thoughts. Might have more before Monday night.....

I think the body Rick finds and thinks is Kate, is really Kelly. Tyson doesn't love ANYONE.
