Hmmmm, not sure what the problem is. I tried this morning, had no issues and got the quote that matched my already reserved price... I'm not on my computer right now (on my kindle) but next time I get online, I'll try again and see what I get...

I can't get them to go through either. Yesterday I tried both the Costco ID with the Visa coupon, then the SW ID with the Visa coupon, then tried just the two IDs by themselves (leaving the AD2338FDF coupon off). All four times the site said, 'Capacity Check-Coupon is not available'. I just tried all four combinations again and got the same comment.

Back on 6/29 I got a reservation for my Sept 14th-22nd trip using Dollar's daily special for $177.83 and a day or so later got another reservation through Alamo for the same nine days for $174.66 using the Costco ID and Visa coupon. For some reason Alamo never sent the confirmation to my email though and when I went to their site and tried to send it to my email, I couldn't get it to go through either. I was able to print it off from the Alamo site though. However, now when I go to my account on the Alamo site and look up upcoming reservations, it has the confirmation number, but when I click on it, it says: 'We're sorry. This coupon isn't available at this time' and I can't view the reservation? For the last two days I've tried on three different computers (my laptop, my desk top, and the computer here at work).

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I have had the same problems (even after clearing cookies). I called last night and was told "we're having website problems". I explained it has been a problem for months. They said "we'll work on it". It is frustrating and you would think they would try to resolve these issues. Dollar site works and is quick and easy

They need to go back to the old format. MUCH more user friendly. They've got to be losing business over this. Still problems this morning

I got it to work this morning (although price still hasn't dropped, haha). I tried it from a fresh boot of the computer though.

What worked for me yesterday when I got the coupon code problem from an invalid code was just hitting refresh on my browser (Chrome) but it sounds like that didn't work for some folks. Sounds like from what PP's are saying is that it's an Alamo website problem, not a browser problem.

Dollar and Thrifty are both super low today. 11 day intermediate $217 all-in, Sept 25-Oct 5 at each (went to carrentals.com but probably can get the same on their sites).

Worth checking your dates!

Ok so if I use my Amex card, use contract ID 7015635 with a free upgrade coupon AU3ZZ2SDE for an 8 day rental ( early AM pick up on 9/7 drop off late on 9/14) it is $195.... I have already secured a rental with Dollar using the 5C11M coupon for $174..... Is Alamo worth the $20?

Just rebooked our Dollar reservation for Sept 16-25 for a full size car using coupon 5C11M and dropped a few dollars off. Its now $193.41. Come on Dollar! Keep dropping!

From my experience with Alamo you get to walk out to your aisle and pick the car you want. Other agencies preselect your car.

I usually prefer to use Alamo/National if I'm not keeping the car the entire time. I can easily drive to the Dolphin and return it. Then take the bus to my next destination or walk back to BW.
I've used Budget and Dollar both when not traveling to WDW or if driving from Sanford to WDW and back.

I just went on Dollar's website now for my dates - 9/27 to 10/4 and used no codes until the car selection screen and then clicked on the City Deals (promo code 252) and got great prices of $158.56 all in for a full-size car. Similar deals for all sizes. This was much better than carrental dot com and BJ's Travel had.

Yup me too.... booked 9/20- 9/28 with lock and low for $154.... lock and low has really worked well for me in the past with dollar. Last trip I got a chrysler 500.

Thanks for the heads up! I just rebooked our reservation and saved $41.00 ! Got a standard for $100.71 base price , or $155.13 out the door. Our dates are Sept 24th through Oct 1st.
Does anyone know if they have standard size there, or do they put you up to a full size? We are a party of 3 , so either would be fine, I was just wondering. Thanks again!

Just booked on Dollar's web site for 9/21 through 9/28 for a fullsize car for $149.05... Have been searching daily and finally got a good price. 15% discount. I'm too happy!

omgosh I just modified my Dollar reservation using the same code I originally booked with (5C11M) and it dropped....by a LOT! I'm wondering if it's too good to be true? Will they honor this price?

original: full size car Wed Sept 18 - Wed Sept 25th, code 5C11M, total with taxes & fees: $223

today's rate: full size car, same dates, same discount code, base $95, total with taxes & fees: $149

They must have went up in the last few hours, because I checked early this morning and they were still low. It seems that when they drop prices it happens mid week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from my experience.
