Still nothing this morning, and now, even Nov. 18 is gone. It's either filled up or it got taken down, too. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow! ::I need a "crossed fingers" smiley::

Subbing - thanks for starting!

I called last week for an October res and the lady I spoke with told me they weren't allowing any reservations to be made yet, but to keep checking the online system. I'll check AND call - and then report back.

I just noticed the same thing - that now November 18th isn't available. Hopefully that means they are fixing the problem.

ammag - My DH and I get to go alone too...so excited :) I haven't been to CG before but I think fireworks in November are at 8 p.m. so if you get a ressie at 7 p.m. or later you should be there during Wishes. I have been to Top of the World Lounge at BLT which has the same view as CG and the sunset is also beautiful. I guess I would time it closer to 7 p.m. so you can get there a bit early to enjoy the sunset view before dinner and Wishes during dinner.

Oops I just double-checked and Wishes is at 9 p.m. in November so maybe time the ressie at 8 p.m. Anyone else have an opinion?

Yeah! So excited hoping for an 11/10 res, my husband and I get to go ALONE. If we want to see the fireworks what time do you guys recommend? Would 8 be good?

We are having a pool/ resort day the next day so being out late is ok. Can you tell I have little kids? Lol. Right now I have an artists point res for 8 in case I don't get Cali. Do you guys really call every day? I need to start...their automated system takes sooooo long it's abit of a bother

It depends on how you plan to eat your meal and if you want the fireworks to be times for just after or during ur meal. If you are doing multiple courses and taking your time like we do and want fireworks we usually plan 2.5 hrs prior to wishes.

Yes sunset will be very early - around 5:30 pm - after daylight savings ends on November 3rd. I doubt you can make dinner last for three and a half hours so you will probably miss out on it.

Joining in and hoping for something the first week of November. We went to Cg for the first time last August for my 40th bday and loved it so much! This year hoping to take my mom and dad along :goodvibes

I hope they redo the bar area to face around the MK View. Hoping for a November 17th, first anniversary date... :)

Thanks, jlsmith. My mom is coming with us she offered to babysit..we only get to go out maybe 2 times a year, so even though it is in September we are going to celebrate or anniversary, hopefully at CG. A so excited! I don't think I can get there earlier than 8, we are driving up that day form Miami (another trip weare adding onto) and want to visit my Dh grandmother at her home in Orlando first...so will be tight getting to the reservation. I don't care about the timing of the fireworks and food I am just excited to go!!!!,

One more thing..anyone have another suggestion for an alternative or is artists point a good one to stick with?

Artist Point is currently our back-up plan for CG. The only reason we would cancel it for CG is because we've been to AP, but never been to CG. We also have Citricos booked for earlier in the week. I think either of them would be good choice.

They have artist's renderings in the newest DVC magazine and it looks like the bar is in the same place it always was.

Okay, people, here's the deal. I just booked a trip from 9/20 until the 26th, so I am officially as invested in this as all of you are. I will keep checking daily (and I do, as I get at least 10 inquiries per day) for the venue. Fingers crossed!

Add me to the list of those who are waiting for CG reservations to open up. Hoping for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. :)

Hey we'll be there the same time! Just don't steal a CG table from me;). I am hoping that they open it up soon as we have never eaten there and this may be our last trip to Disney for years. What is the best time to book if you want to see the fireworks while eating in September. Or, is finishing up and going out on deck even better? With a family who usually eat at about 6:30 ish, the thought of eating at 8 is not too appealing. And not knowing how long a meal will take there, I'm not sure when to book--that is, if we ever get the chance! Any insight?

I'd say 7:30pm is your best bet for a reservation. They will let you linger if you've already finished your meal.
