I'm sure they will make one for you! I haven't seen one though.

Thanks! I've not seen one here either. This morning it just hit me that this would be perfect for my nephews since they are really into them right now.

Hi my family will be visiting the World from 12/25/09-1/1/10. :woohoo:

DS turns 4 on 1/5 and we would like to surprise him with a cake during one of our TS meals. I do have access to a car (my sister's family will be drivig down), so even a non-Disney bakery would be ok. I don't want something generic that the restaurant has just thawed out for our "party" if you KWIM.

Our ADR's are as follows (so any advice based on these would be great):

12/26 - Ohana (dinner)
12/27 - Tusker House (lunch)
12/28 - Garden Grill (dinner)
12/29 - LeCellier (lunch)
12/30 - Crystal Palace (dinner)
12/31 - 50's Prime Time (dinner)
1/1 - Chef Mickey's (brunch)

I'd prefer not to do the cake for Chef Mickey's b/c my mom and her friend will not be able to join us due to flight times.

Thanks in advance for any input!

Unfortunately, Chef Mickey's would be your best bet for getting a fancy, show-stopping cake like the ones posted in the last few pages. The theme park bakeries simply are not equipped the way resort bakeries are, and most of the time you can only get a simple supermarket-style chocolate/chocolate or vanilla/vanilla cake.

You *might* be able to get a custom cake at the Polynesian, but so far they do not seem to be turning out anything very elaborate and like to steer you toward the generic cakes you wish to avoid. Call the Polynesian and ask to speak to Private Dining for your options. Another idea might be to call the Contemporary's Private Dining and find out about having a cake made there and delivered to Ohana. It might be worth the fee for you. :thumbsup2

Alternatively, are you staying at a Deluxe Resort? You could have a cake delivered to your room by Private Dining.

Will CM let you order a cake to be picked up? We plan on having rest time back at our resort (not a delux, so delivery is out) before any of our TS dinners, so I was thinking that on a night that we are eating at either Epcot or MK or Poly that I could leave the resort an hour or so before the rest of our party to pick up a cake at CM. It's a lot of travel time, but looks like it would be worth it! Who do I call at CM about a cake?

The only bakery that will let you pick up is BoardWalk Bakery. However, you might see if the Contemporary Bakery will deliver to the counter-service restaurant (is it called Tempo Grab 'n' Go...?) at the Contemporary so you can pick it up there.

You would call Private Dining at the Contemporary to find out about all this. If you read back a few pages on this thread you'll see discussions about who people have talked to at CR Private Dining about getting a cake. Sometimes the first person who answers the phone is not the best person to talk to, and you need to be persistent. :thumbsup2

DS asked for a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Cake. The hotline said they could do an edible image or the Mickey Head Cake. I didn't really want an edible image but my son specifically asked for a Clubhouse Cake so I went with that.

It was delicious!!! They also asked if I wanted a castle card for the table for an extra $6. I said sure why not!

DS was thrilled but I hoped for an actual image of the clubhouse not the mousekadoer but oh well!

Is the Mickey Head Cake (the ganache one) available at Epcot restaurants :confused3, specifically GG? After looking at the other cake thread, I've decided that this cake will do just fine for celebrating DS's 4th bday. B/C so many of the TS meals we're having include great dessert selections, I decided to either have his cake at Ohana or at GG, but would prefer GG b/c it's a character meal. I did see someone get the Mikey Head Cake at Ohana in the other thread.

Hi all! I am a newbie. I have been to Disney World once before and we are going again October 17th for my son's 5th birthday. He LOVED Fantasmic when we were there last so I would like to do a cake with a Fantasmic theme. Has anyone ever seen anything like that? We are eating at the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner for his birthday. Thanks!

Bumping this up so that it doesn't get lost.

Yea!!! Just completed my order for the haunted mansion cake for my DS's 9th bday on 10/10!!! I can't wait for him to see it although he has seen pics and picked it out.

I will get pics too. I started to get worried cause i sent the original email out on wed afternoon. I didn't hear anything until Sat i got a return email while i was at work. I'm so glad that i've got that taken care of now!! Time to go now!!

Have any of the monorail cake pictures been posted?

I think there were a couple being done in Aug or Sept. I'd love to see what the chefs came up with :)

The Mickey mouse Club house cake is adorable! Love the Card too! How did you order the card???

I officially ordered my DD's 10th bday Sleeping Beauty cake last week! I am so excited! I can't wait to see it!

Anyone have any photos of Christmas cakes? We are taking the illuminations cruise on Christmas day and I wanted to order a cake. I'm guessing it would come from the Beach/yacht Club bakery?:santa: Thanks!!

I emailed Jessi nearly a month ago and have not heard back; our trip is the beginning of December. Should I keep waiting or try again? I know they have a lot of orders prior to us, but I'd like to at least know that we're confirmed.

I know when Brian was posting on here, he said people were already ordering for November and that was over a month ago.

TIA!

Just curious, did you call in first, or just email the wdw.magic.kingdom.cake.orders@disney.com?? I'm wanting to order a cake from the CR (The Wave) for our Halloween Trip and was curious as to which route I should go.

TIA!!

GF 1900 Park Fare
$92
8" Chocolate Fondant, vanilla cake, chocolate buttercream icing.

This is the cake we ordered for our son's birthday. We spoke with Pat and gave her a $100 budget and just asked for it to be Pirate themed. The entire cake was edible, we absolutely loved it!!

I wanted to share the surprise cake that I ordered from the GF Bakery for our 9th anniversary Wishes Cruise from the GF on 9/17. It was a white almond cake with amaretto buttercream filling and frosting and then covered in white fondant. The cake was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cake was delivered to the boat. It was super hot and muggy that night so it started to melt very quickly. Sorry about the picture quality but the boat was moving and the cake was melting fast!

The cake was $150 plus the gratuity, delivery, etc. I think it came to around $195 in the end.

We didn't come close to finishing the cake before we left. There were 7 of us on the cruise and we had the cake for 5 days after that.
