Beautiful cake and Happy 25th Anniversary! We'll be celebrating our 25th this year also with a trip to WDW. Our wedding color was also lavender on top of also being from Lowell but Indiana not Michigan. :) I had to do a double take there for a moment. I'm planning a private dining meal at the GF and I've ordered a cake but its a surprise for my DH. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Again, Happy 25th Anniversary.

Beautiful Anniversary cake, BrightScouter!!

And, yes, it is the chocolate slipper I want! Who needs a non edible glass slipper when you are 8?? :rotfl:

Do I also call the Private Dining at GF? How far in advance (we are 44 days out now! )

For Cinderella's Royal Table, call the Cake Hotline (number of the first page of this thread) and follow the prompts. You only have to fuss with Private Dining at the Grand if you're eating/staying at the Grand. :thumbsup2

Hi - I was wondering whether we could order a cake to be delivered to our room at BLT?? Do they do that sort of thing??

We are taking our family for a once in a lifetime trip at Christmas, and although we aren't celebrating anything in particular, I was wondering whether we could get something that said - 'Happy Holidays to the Davis family'??:santa:

Does this sound like something we could get or is it unlikely??

thanks for any info!!:thumbsup2

Can I still order the glass slipper dessert for CRT? Is it big enough for two? DD's will celebrate her 8th birthday there but don't want youngest dd5 to not get any cake!! Should I order two slippers?

I think it's big enough for two to share :thumbsup2. It's very rich and between the chocolate of the slipper, the mousse and the cake/berries, it's alot of dessert there. We had one on our last trip with 3 of us (2 adults and a child) working on it and we still didn't finish. Mind you DD still got the kids sundae that comes with the meal and DH ordered his included dessert as well.

I called the WL number to order our anniversary cake for the HDD on July 8th...I found the CM to be very nice but not very helpful (meaning without a lot of knowledge of what can be done)...She said we can have a basic cake with lots of flowers on it...But nothing very special for an anniversay...She suggested ordering it from the GF bakery for something extra special but we do not want to pick it up or have to pay the very large delivery fee...So we ended up ordering the regular round cake with white buttercream and flowers...We hope it is good and looks pretty...Here is to hoping :goodvibes

Hi everyone!

The mini wedding cake that we had in May was wonderful. We ordered it from the Boardwalk Bakery. That was the best buttercream I've ever had! Sandy was wonderful. She was so nice. She matched little mickey heads to the color of my wedding dress. This cake was for our anniversary.

Unfortunately, it was so hot that day and I must have tilted the box. The cake slid right off the stand and into the corner of the box. I have no good pics of it but it still tasted just as good! :rotfl:

I knew we should have drove because we were staying at AKL. We had to take the bus to the park and then to the Boardwalk. We ate at Spoodles and had left overs. I had to carry leftovers, desserts for 3, and the cake, while my DH carried DS. :confused3 I'm just glad I got the cake to AKL! LOL I'm still going to post the pick of my cute little cake all smashed up into the side of the box.

NOTE: This was my error not BW Bakery. It was hot outside and I tilted the box. I laughed at the site of it when we got back because I knew I hadn't held the box steady. You live, you learn!

Now for a question. I'd like to get a cake from BW Bakery again for our Dec. trip. It will be for 5 adults and our 2 year old. I definitely want the yummy butter cream icing and filling but need to choose a batter. We'll probably get marble like our mini wedding cake. It depends on the choices.

There are no birthdays, anniversary, etc. to celebrate. What should I have written on the cake and what size should I get? We are big eaters so I don't think I want a 6". Maybe an 8"?

If anyone has any ideas or pics of Christmas cakes let me know? Right now I think it will just say Merry Christmas.

Thanks!

Sorry about your slippery cake! But if it tasted good then all is well. :)

Sandy made my wonderful birthday cake last year - she is terrific! :goodvibes

Okay so I was letting my daughter have input on her birthday cake this August. I specifically planned dinner at 1900 PF so we could get a cake from the GF. Over the course of several weeks, I/We had decided on the Mad Hatter cake. She had narrowed it down to a Tinkerbell or Alice theme. I was getting pretty excited about this cake.

After reading a post about Publix cakes, I hopped on their site just to take a peek. BIG MISTAKE! As soon as my daughter saw the Tinkerbell and Fairies signature Publix cake she immediately deemed it the perfect cake. I explained that we probably wouldn't be able to have it at the restaurant for dessert (I don't think they will let us bring an outside cake?????). She said that's fine we can have it in the room after dinner :sad2:.

I know Publix cakes are fine and my husband will be thrilled that it will save us money, but I am so disappointed. It seems like a cake we could get at home through our local baker. Guess I was looking forward to it more than the birthday girl.

Sorry for the rant, maybe I can get both? (Joking)

It was a very pretty cake. Do you mind telling us how much it cost? It looks like it tasted awesome! We may have to get one for our trip. I LOVE buttercream icing.

I am so sorry everyone that I did not post the cost of the mini wedding cake!

It was $25. I just gave her our CC # when I placed the order.

Yes, she was wonderful and the cake was just amazing. How do they make butter cream so light and fluffy. Does anyone know the secret. When I call before the next trip, is it ok to ask for her on the phone?

Hi, My DD will turn 25  while we are at WDW in July. She is living in Hawaii and LOVES Lilo and Stitch. Is it possible to get STITCH on a cake?? I have looked through many cake pics but have not seen any of Lilo and/or Stitch. We will be staying at the BCV. Should I call the cake hotline or BC/YC dining?? Thanks, Joan

I'm sure someone here has had experience ordering cakes before.

I just called and left a message but have no idea what type of cakes they have and what they cost. Are they worth it?

It's my DD's 18th birthday and we will be at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Thanks!

Hi, Are you calling soon?? I would love to know how you do with the ordering?? We are in WDW in July and will celebrate my DD 25th at Narcoossees on the 18th. I was going to have the cake delivered to our room(???) that morning for BREAKFAST but I could also have it at Narcoossees. Thanks, Joan
