Does anyone know if you can get a chocolate Minnie topper for a cake at Cinderella's Royal Table? We're going to celebrate my DD9th b-day there in October. I want it to be special for her and she loves Minnie! Thanks in advance!:goodvibes

Has anyone ordered a cake from California Grill? I'd like to order one for our Easter Dinner and would like to hear the good, bad & ugly on CG's cakes.

I've ordered from the Yachtsman Steakhouse in the past and they have been nothing but excellent.

Thanks!

I'd like to know this too as we will be celebrating our 20th at the Cali Grill. Anyone?:goodvibes

so how small is the castle cake? We arent huge cake eaters DD and i usually split a piece and DH and DS usually share. My kdis will be 2 and 4 at the time. Do you think it will be too small? TIA!

Think large cupcake, around 4 inches or so. The castle is only about 3 inches high and is hollow. I had this for my birthday last year. There were 3 of us and we each got a bite.:goodvibes

This was 2007. Maybe things have changed? I had to order at least an 8" to be able to get the image. This was also ordered from MK, not a resort, so that might make a difference.

Unless it was really 10" and they only charged me for an 8"? :rotfl2: I'm doubting that though!

Yeah Im going to call them again and challenge them on that. I have proof now that it can be done so that shouldnt be an issue.

Sorry if this has been tackled already in this thread, but I've been keeping up with it daily and don't remember seeing this recently...

We are staying at the WL for my birthday on the July 4th weekend. I would like to have a cake, but I would like to have a decorated cake. It does not necessarily need to be fancy, but I would at least like to have a picture on it or a mickey head cake. We are having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, so we could get a cake at GF bakery there. I do think those cakes are so beautiful, but they are so expensive plus since there are only two of us, we would def need to take the cake back to the hotel, but I don't think we would have time to do that before heading to the park. So, preferably, I would like to get a cake at WL so we could have it in our room and easily put it in the fridge. I hope all that makes sense...so, I guess my basic question can I get a cake that still looks Disney-ish at the WL? I don't want a plain one or one that has just flowers or something...Thanks for any help you can give me! :)

The short answer is yes - you can get a Disney cake at WL. Ring the cake hotline number and select the resort you want.

When you speak to the person you can request anything you like depending on your budget.

I have just ordered a custom cake at the GF. It was $40 for a custom flavour then $35 to decorate - I asked for a Toy Story theme. So you can ask for whatever you like. The budget can go up to whatever you require.

The same thing can be done at any resort. The standard/variety differs I guess as there are different chefs in all of the resorts.

Hope this helps:goodvibes

Two years ago we got a birthday cake for my FIL at WL and I had asked for something to looks rustic or FWC-ish since the ILS were staying at FWC and love to camp. I got very pretty cake that had flowers on it. It was not rustic or FWC-ish and later I was told that they don't really decorate cakes other than putting some flowers on the cakes. It was a really pretty cake and very tasty and I think it was around $45.

Looks Great, did this cake have filling?? Is it vanilla and chocolate?

We ordered this cake for our DD in March

Price: $32 for cake + $15 for topper
Date Received: March 8, 2009
Location: 1900 Park Fare
Cake info - Chocolate Cake with Milk Chocolate Mousse filling and chocolate icing. The cake topper was white chocolate and was DD's favorite part of the cake.
Anything else special about that particular cake: The cake was pretty good. A little dry around the edges but the mousse filling helped with the dryness.

This is the cake we ordered for our twin DS's in March:

Price: $48per
Date Received: March 11, 2009
Location: Chef Mickey's
Cake info - White cake with white buttercream icing on the inside, chocolate on the outside.
Anything else special about that particular cake: This cake was really good. Extremely moist and not overly sweet. My DH and kids snacked on it all week.

Quoting myself...

anyone?

The circumference (measurement around the cake) of a 10 inch cake is about 31 inches. If you cut slices that are 1 inch wide at the outer edge you would get about 30 servings, 2 inches wide would give you about 15 servings, etc.

The circumference of an 8 inch cake is about 25 inches and a 6 in cake is about 19 inches.

I'm trying to order a birthday cake from the GF bakery for my DD's birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I want something a little more than the standard 6 or 8 inch cake. I would like it customized. When I called the bakery, the lady was pushing me to order the standard cake, and played the idiot when I said I would like something more custom. She then referred me to someone else who I had to leave a voicemail with. First, will this woman call me back since I'm long distance, and second, Should it be this hard?:confused3

Did you call the cake hotline number?

There is a new "Cake Hotline" for guests who want to request to have a special, personalized cake for various celebrations at most table service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 (their hours are 8 – 4 Monday – Friday), and at least they need to have a 48 hours notice. Guests may also request a 6-inch cake (non-personalized) upon arrival at the podium of restaurant (no advance notice required).
