Official Birthday/Anniversary Cake thread

We have made our advanced dinner reservation at Cape May and this trip is a graduation gift trip to our soon to be 18 yr old senior graduate son. I was looking thru this thread and read alot about cakes being sent to different places or made by several places. Should I call Cape May and ask if they make cakes or who can I call about having a small one made and delivered to the restarunt the day we are there? I'd love to find some pics of cakes as well. Any specific pages in this thread I can look at? Thanks!!

I got a cake thru Cape May it was yummy and beautiful!! It was for dinner almost got away without paying for it too but was too honest... I used my DDE Good luck

Thanks for letting me know about Cape May. We are staying at POR, I suppose I could call them as well and ask if they will have one made and deliver to our room.

Has anyone had a cake at/delivered to Big River Grille at the Boardwalk? I am having a welcome dinner there for my wedding and would love to surprise DF with a goofy image on a cake. Would you suggest I call the Boardwalk Bakery?

For our upcoming trip I am looking into getting our little princess the slipper dessert to celebrate her birthday. We plan on eating at 1900 Park Fare, CRT and the Princess Storybook breakfast. Which one tastes better? As she will only be 3 and I think that is something we would all be able to try. Or would we be able to save it?

I believe they had 5 cakes to choose from, all baked right at the hotel's bakery. This one is chocolate cake, chocolate frosting. It was out of this world!

Here is a cake I ordered in October from the Poly. It was delivered to our room on the first night. When I called the lady told me the 8" was not able to be personalized, other than the message written on it. The lady i spoke with told me I could have chocolate cake with chocolate filling, or white cake with white chocolate filling. I went with the white cake option. She also told me it would have a few flowers on it, and that was basically it. SO, I was plesantly surpried when this arrived.

The otuside icing left a lot to be desired- it was really think and not too tasty. But the inside was great and we enjoyed it. I would love to order another cake this Oct for in-room Poly delivery, so I am interested to see if anyone else has Poly cakes they have ordered.

Sorry, can you tell me how much this one was?

I read your message about the POR cake you had made. Did you call POR directly and what kind of cake did you get and do you remember price? We will be at POR and it's my son's graduation from high school (he graduated early). Would like one sent to the room maybe.

This cake looks absolutely delicious. Maybe we will do something like that to celebrate our arrival to Disney. Can you tell me about the other cakes they offer? And what size cake this actually is? We have a family of 5 and our oldest son is a big eater, and the thinest thing going. I sure wish I had his metabolism.

Here is the cake I ordered for DH to celebrate his BDay at the AKL...it was a special order, all chocolate, zebra amenity cake...it was THE BEST cake we have ever gotten at WDW...and we have gotten them all over the "world".

Also, through the CR private dining I ordered this for DH from DD. They both thoroughly enjoyed the cookies for four days! Sorry, we had already eaten three of them.

Just got back from AKL and here is the birthday cake I ordered for DD2. My choices were:

6 inch white
6 inch chocolate
6 inch zebra
Mickey cake (no inscription allowed)

I chose the 6 inch zebra to go along with our AKL theme. It tasted just okay to me but my girls loved it.
