I am thinking of ordering a cake for when we are at 50's prime time cafe, We will be paying OOP for this meal so the cake would be our desert. Any idea who to call? How is the cakes at MGM?

Has anyone ever ordered a birthday cake with tinkerbell on it from anyplace? Are they available? We are going end of Sept beginning of Oct. and would like to celebrate DD's 10th birthday.

Look on page 2 - cakes 22 and 26b

God, I hope she doesn't read this, but I am hoping that someone here can help me. I would LOVE to get a Stitch cake for Gabby.

Our upcoming trip is in honor of my 40th birthday, which actually happens during our trip, but Gabby's birthday is just 15 days prior to our first day in the parks at WDW. I would love to make that day into her surprise birthday celebration. Now, I stink at surprising her, but if this could remain a surprise, I would love to get her a cake with Stitch in board shorts doing a "hang loose" sign and holding a surfboard on the beach. She would freak! It would be so awesome!

Any hope of ever getting anything like this for her delivered to Kona Cafe at dinner? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Maggie

Call the Poly number listed on page 1 here and ask to speak to private dining. They'll fix you up! Details of what I was told when I called yesterday are a few posts up.

Thank you!!! I will give them a call a couple of weeks early though, because what I would like is a bit detailed. I want them to have plenty of time to make it awesome. :wizard: Maggie

Hey guys. We have a wishes celebration cruise planned for our first night at Disney. We are leaving from GF and I want to get a cake to celebrate both the kids birthday. DS will be 12 the next day and DD will be 14 that Friday. I figured getting at the first of the week they could eat it backin the room if any is left after the cruise. I had thought cake 3A if I order that what do I call and ask for a Mickey cake? I had also thought it would be really cool to get a Pirates cake since they both love POTC. Are they pretty open to whatever you suggest. Also will they give you a price when you order? I hate to show up and have a BIG suprise!

Hi Maggie!!

Remember me?! Pin meet with Micheal and Corey in Atlanta!! Seems like ages ago now. I just wanted to give you a heads up on Lady & Sons. We were there a little over a month ago. It was fantastic. But get there "early" to get your place in line. I would say between 7-7:30AM. Sounds crazy I know, but if you don't, you not get in for lunch. It is fantastic.

Didn't mean to hijack thread, just wanted to let Maggie know.

And hey Maggie, I'd love to see you and Gabby while you're at WDW!

Blessings,
Winnie

Ok, I have a mission for all you Dis cake experts out there. My mom and I are going on our first mother/daughter trip in October, and I am trying to make it extra special. What do you all suggest I ask for on the cake- picture wise I mean. I was thinking a mother/daughter disney character pic would be cute, but it seems that all the characters are mother-less :confused3

My mom doesn't really have a FAVORITE character so I thought something a little "different" might be interesting. I know I have a long time before I need to actually call, but it never hurts to start thinking ahead ;)

What about...

Dumbo and his mother
Bambi and his mother
Lady and her puppies
Perdita and pups
Dutchess and Marie
Baby Simba and Sarabi
Mulan and her mother/grandmother

Hope that helps!

Wow dameodie I am impressed! You remembered some I had forgotten. The only ones I think you forgot were Elastigirl and with Violet and Dash, and then Kanga and Roo.
Maybe you could do I have the best mother in the World and put all of them on it (if they will do that).

I was going to suggest dumbo and his mother too!

Since they can't/won't do Pixar movies, I didn't even go into listing those. Unless that's changed now that Disney owns them outright?

Wow, you guys came through with some GREAT Disney moms, I'm impressed!! I really like Dumbo and his mom and Babmi and his mother. My nickname as a baby was Thumper, so maybe Bambi. I have never seen Babmi and friends on a cake, so hopefully they can do it. Thanks everyone :thumbsup2

Does anyone have more pictures of cakes from the Boardwalk Bakery. I am looking for something special for a 10th ann.?I am staying at AKL and am not crazy about the zebra dome cake.

Can a cake be ordered to be delivered to Saratoga Springs? On the front page there isnt a tel number to call. I was hoping to get an anniversary cake delivered to our room as I dont want to carry it around after dinner.

Thanks
Andrea

Here is a picture of our anniversary cake. It was a surprise for my husband. Unfortunately, we didn't even get to taste it as we were too full. Then before we left it melted in the box. we were able to salvage the white choc Mickey and Minnie. :( But I thought I'd share.

It's adorable. I LOVE those statues. We've had the Mickey one and a Donald one once. They make the trip (and cake) so magical. :goodvibes

So where did you order it from?

How much was it?

What size was it?

Thanks!
