Official Birthday/Anniversary Cake thread

These may be questions already asked, but I've skimmed the thread and just cannot find my answers...

when you order a cake, do you have to pay for it in full at the time of order? Cause I would like to order my parents a thank you cake for our trip since they've pretty much paid for the whole thing. We're eating at Boma and Le Cellier, has anyone had cakes delivered to either, and where would I order them from.

We paid for the cake after our meal & celebration. I used the phone number on the first post of this thread and had it delivered to Coral Reef. I only called them the one time. I was a little nervous that I didn't call to remind them once we were at WDW, but everything went off without a hitch. The cake was delivered to our table as ordered and everyone was happy!

Does AKL only still do Zebra Stripped Cakes or do they do others now? I wanna get a personalized surprise 4th anniversary cake for DH. Can cakes be delivered to Jiko? If it can, im torn between having them deliver it to the room while DH and I eat dinner, the day we check in, at Boma so when we go back to our room, it will be there waiting for us or having them deliver it to Jiko. If it is delivered to Jiko it would be the very next day after we check in, so it will only be a 1 day difference. If we get it delivered to Jiko, can they wrap it up for us? Which seems more romantic and surprising? Delivered to Jiko or to the room while we are at dinner at Boma? Any advice, ideas, suggestions, etc. greatly appreciated!

Forgot to mention this, but yes we will be staying at AKL.

This is the cake I ordered for our Christmas dinner at Ohanas. It was white cake with a chocolate mousse filling. I was a little disappointed that the cake was a little dry, the mousse was very good though! Cost was $31 & change & I paid for it after our meal.

We will be celebrating my parent's 50th anniversary next Sunday (1/13) with lunch at the WCC and I would love to order a cake for the occasion.

Should I call WCC directly, or the number for the WL bakery? Or somewhere else???

For most places you should just call the cake hotline number which is posted in post #1, page 1, and just follow the prompts.

We celebrated three birthdays while we were at WDW over Christmas. Here are the results of our efforts.

This was from CRT on Dec 25....we were asked if it really was her birthday....who would choose to celebrate a birthday on Christmas???

This was a surprise from my husband to me at 1900 Park Fare....I thought the differences were interesting considering it was the same week and trip.

Here is one other cake we got at 1900 Park Fare.

The cake I ordered for my husband at Jiko did not happen. They could not locate the order and without telling me substitued the frozen variety. I inquired and they told me to call the cake hotline back. I never followed up and I was charged the $12.50 for the small frozen cake.

This is the cake that we had on the Grand 1 Yacht...

I ordered a cake for a friend for our dinner at Boma. I wanted a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. They could not make it there, so they connected me to someone at the GF. They delivered the cake to Boma at no extra charge. Hope this helps.

How long ago was this? I thought I read on this thread that GF will only deliver to GF because they are getting so many requests.

This was in Oct. 06, I didn't realize they were not doing this anymore. Bummer, the cake was yummy!
