I was just reading the email that was sent to me, and it states I had to pay in advance for the cake. But when I placed the order the CM never asked me for a credit card #. Do you think my cake will be there?

Hmmmmmm...I know I had my CC out because I was calling from the car (I know, real safe) but I can't remember if they asked for it or not. I THINK they did...I better call and confirm. I would call them back if I were you, JUST to make sure!

They have taken a credit card number from me each time as I place the order but it hasn't been charged until the time I have had the cake.

I'd call back just to make sure. Better to be safe than sorry!

Melee's Mom where did you get that beautiful Tinkerbell cake from?

I need to know the same thing! Ohh my gosh that is just beautiful, my DD would LOVE that cake for her Birthday! Please let us know where you got it from and what it was you specified/asked for and how much it was! Thanks :thumbsup2

Any ideas on prices for cakes at California Grill?

Hmm I was wondering the same thing. i was married in Disney so last year (1st anni) I have a private illuminations dessert party and the gf bakery recreated my wedding cake for me but in 09' we are going down with family and it so happens that my sil has the same anniversary as we do! (the celebrated their 5th at our wedding lol!) anyway we were planning at eating at CG on the night of our anniversaries and would like o get something special (not a typical birthday type cake) and wondering what the options are. I am going to do some investigating by calling the hotline and also the CG private dining.

And I'd like to know about the anniversary cake! Thanks!

Both Cakes are ordered from Grand Floridian Bakery. The cake ordering process was great. Once I left a message to the lady who handles custom cake, I had a call back wihtin 2-4 hours. I have been lurking this site for so long I have the design in mind when I called. Here are what I asked for Tinker Bell Cake- Yellow cake/ Chocolate mouse filling/ Tinker Bell theme/ Purple fondant/ Gold Mickey Stamp. The price is $87+tax. DH paid 20% tips on cake too for the server who presented the cake in such a nice way made it magical for DD5.

For the 2008 Tinker Bell Cake, I would have liked a "solid" Tinker Bell status dusted with gold power. But I wasn't disappointed at the one I got. You should really check out the candy rose peices!! They are much more beautiful than camera can capture. I am totally happy with the cakes and the magic time we had during our meals.

I suspected that it would be GF, thanks for replying. Not heading that way for our next trip but they still look amazing.

For the people that have gotten more than 1 special birthday treat from their ADR's - do you get them all on the same day? Like a PP said their DS got a extra special dessert from Boma's and PT that was not a special order. Or say - the birthday is on Monday and for your ADR on Saturday they get a special treat too? Just because the birthday is coming up?

Did that make any sense?!? :confused3

I am glad since DS is not a big cake eater.

The $21.00 cake is a vanilla cake with whipped cream icing. This order was placed. Since this is the cake you can get at the podium, I do not take your credit card information. We do not charge you for the cake until that evening and it will be on your bill.
Below is the 6" cake information that was send. Cakes other than the 6" cake need credit card information. (you were asking about a picture) Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Have a magical day!

They did not ask me for a credit card number and it was there! I got mine at Chef Mickeys.

Are they still doing mini wedding cakes at the GF Bakery? If so, is it just the same price as a standard 8" cake? I am trying to order a cake for a upcoming trip when we are having the afternoon tea at the GF, and I really just want a cake that taste like a wedding cake. I am not sure if I should just get the mini castle cake or try to order the mini wedding cake? I am not looking for anything too elaborate. :confused3 What to do? What to do?

The mini castle cake is only available at the GF although a few people have reported being able to order one at the Boardwalk Bakery but that is inconsistant. You can call the Boardwalk Bakery and find out.

The mini castle cake price went up to $30. A huge part of the cost is the white chocolate castle one top ($15). So you can probably get a regular cake (8' or 10') for the same cost or just a bit more.

The mini castle cake is meant to be for one person but 2 can easily share it.

They are mass produced and the flavor choices are:

chocolate cake with dark chocolate mousse
yellow cake with white chocolate mousse
cheesecake
