Does anyone know if it is possible to have cakes delivered to our room at SSR?
And if it is do I call the cake hotline to order or call Saratoga Springs directly?
We'll be celebrating 2 B-days while we're there Dec.27-31 so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok ressies made. I am seeking any and all pics of cakes people have gotten over at Cape May Cafe. This is our first restaurant so I think it makes the most sense to get our cake their.
TIA :)

I dont have everything uploaded - dh's computer said I had too many bytes used!! :rotfl2:

1900 Park Fair - $50 cake - had I felt like spoiling DD bday I would've complained!

(when we got to the resort and tried it it was dry - the bottom layer, but mostly it was the way the server treated us - ignored us - I found this trend, we as a table of 3 were overlooked for tables of 6 or more - at maybe 4 places)

(she also got the personalized menu and the Diver)

Boma:

We really appreciated the cards from Boma - they signed it in their native languages (I think there are at least 34 languages in Africa - and DD homework for the trip was to interview and learn about Africa!! )

She also got a card and cake from LeCellier, LTT, (chocolate here) I think somewhere else!) It was her real Birthday on the Cali Grill day - I only arranged bday for Cali Grill and 1900, the others were treats!

We didnt get much interaction AT ALL from 1900 characters, and believe me I tried - the Prince was the kindest! He sat and talked about where she was from, what she was studying - most others, signed and ran - I asked if they could give her singing lessons - "maybe later" so the girls never sang during our 2 1/2 hour ordeal... Lady Tremaine was rude, but she is supposed to be - mostly from a distance!! lol

So as you can see, Disney does make Birthdays special - I think the cupcakes would definately be enough - I doubt if I'll ever order a cake again!! $50 is just not worth it -

I do have pics from the Boardwalk Bakery - but they havent been uploaded yet!

Sandy, that is ashame because the cake looks like it would have been yummy.
What is that from the coral reef? And no charge for that?

Hi Sandy,

Your daughter is beautiful. Did the diver/menus work out ok? I have them planned for DS's bday in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the other pics. They noted his bday on all of our ADRs (23 in total) so I'm curious to see what he will get.

Question about the Mickey head cake. What is the inside like? I have seen pics and he looks adorable, but is there options to what the inside is? Those that have had it, was it good? Did you have options?

I am looking for ideas for a Cape May Cafe cake and if all else fails I thought I may go with the classic mickey head but unsure of what the inside is like.

Tutto Italia is our 1st ADR (12/6). Has anyone ever had experience w/ special order birthday cakes there? Can Boardwalk Bakery deliver or would I have to pick up & take it there?

I personally think YC/BC makes the nicest cakes at the moment. People have been calling in room dining to order a cake for their restaurants, but I don't know the number. I'd see what they could do for me, before making a decision.

Cant' wait to see what was available at the Boardwalk. I'm going to have to start making calls soon and get some pixie dust flying over there again. I'm hoping DS1 will get some cute cards or something but part of me hopes he doesn't since DS4 didn't get anything like that while we were there for his birthday. :rolleyes1

Does anyone know if you can have a cake delivered to Jiko?
It is my mothers birthday on 12/31 and we're having dinner that night at Jiko. I know AKL has a zebra cake but i'm not too sure of what it looks like. My mothers ultimate dream is a cake with tinkerbell on it. Is there a Tinkerbell topper?

How do I go about ordering a B-day cake for my nephew at Wjhispering Canyon Cafe? Is there a direct # ?

Thanks!

Hey Guys!

I wonder if anyone can help me? Just called the cake order hotline for Magic Kingdom restaurants to see about booking for my son's birthday. We have an ADR for Crystal Palace and wanted to order a cake and have an image that i have put on the cake.

1st of all after asking here and told this wouldn't be a problem - I was told no I couldn't do this when I called

2nd of all I was told that an edible image would cost an extra $30, on the first page of this thread it says $8? Quite a difference

Thirdly I was told that there would be no designs added to the 8" cake only confetti or floral design

I am really confused as I thought that ordering an 8" cake with an edible image would be possible and it would cost approx $33? I would now have to order a 10" cake to get it custom designed and it would cost me in the region of $70? The lady really wasn't very helpful at all and as I am Scottish I think she was struggling to understand my accent as well!LOL

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I haven't ordered a cake for a MK place but have for EPCOT (CR) and got an 8" cake with edible image for like $40 (I'd have to go home and look at the receipt for the exact amount). The cake was like $33 and the image was $5 or 7 more.

Try and call back and speak with someone else. Did you call CP directly through the cake hotline?? If you did, ask to speak with the person who will actually make the cakes or ask where they're from. Maybe that will give you another route to call and ask some questions. Sometimes just calling back and getting another person is enough to get the answers that you need.

The only other thing I can think is are you eating during one of those periods that they increase the cost of the meals and they're increasing the cost of the cakes as well?? :confused3

Good luck! :goodvibes

Has anyone ordered a cake for friends/family/whoever while they were at Disney and you were not?? Were you able to pay up front for the cake over the phone? Did you have to call the day of the ressie to pay?? Did they actually get the cake?? I'd like to do something small for our friends who are going in a couple of weeks. They're going back with us in Dec so it's not a huge deal if I can't, but I'd really like to if I can. :goodvibes

Hey! Thanks for the quick reply!

I called the cake hotline number and then pressed the option for Magic Kingdom restaurants, I don't think it gave me an option to go directly to CP although I could have missed that?

I knew the cake prices had increased and was expecting to pay around the $40 mark but when she said it would be $30 for image I nearlly fell off my seat!:rotfl:

I think i will call again tomorrow getting a bit late here now!

Thanks again

Is GF the ones who hand pipe it? I noticed a picture in thread one and really liked it and was thinking of ordering it just wanted to know where to go for it.
