Thanks for sharing newtodis. Can´t wait to see the pics from CR :)

Thanks! Hope to have them up soon!

newtodis -- I see what you mean about the Cars cake. It's pretty, but very adult looking, not at all child-like. Thank you for sharing the photos.

You're welcome! It was a great cake for my husband-not so much for the 4 year old son-although he was happy to eat the small chocolate car and cut it up! :rotfl:

THAT is a GREAT cake!! (not cars, or kid cake but perfect for my dd turning 12~~)

and I hope I get your server and the $30 charge!! I'd love to do the mini castle cheesecake for dh and I and a regular cake for dd... and our first night we're at 1900 Park Fare - I am just not going to spend $30 on an "image"!! (I know mean mom!)

Can't blame you there! I think CR charged me $10 for the edible image...I wouldn't pay $30. I'd buy something at a local cake shop and take it with me!

OMG that cake looks so yummy!

Thanks! It was good.

Can somebody please help me, I have been trying to navigate through the official Birthday/ Anniversary cake thread and find pics of some cakes that i had read about for my DD's 13th birthday, and there are hundreds of pages to go through and I can't find what I am looking for. I read that someone ordered a triple layered tinkerbelle birthday cake with strawberries and custard, I saw the pic a while back and now that I am trying to make a decision, I can't find it. I was also trying to find pics of the castle cake but not the mini one. She loves the castle and she loves tinkerbelle if anyone has some pics of cakes that they can post for me to look at i would really appreciate it. We are staying at the RPC in the GF and I would love to have them take care of everything for me.

Honestly, it's probably easiest just to call and tell them exactly what you want. You could be disappointed if you are trying to replicate someone else's cake if you and the person you're talking to aren't exactly on the same page. I would give them a call, tell them what you saw (what you can remember because that's what was important to you) and see what they can put together for you.

Did they misspell time on the castle cake? It looks like "tine"? :confused3

I guess I just figured it was kind of like I write-half cursive and have printing!:rotfl: The small error was fine with us-not like I could complain with what I paid for it!

You're right, it does. It's missing the third cursive M 'hump' making it look like an N. I guess someone either misspelled it or needs to brush up on his/her cursive writing. ;)

Yeah...they were just trying to copy my writing-I mix cursive and printing together and half the time you can't read it!

I am sure that my question has been answered before. How much do the mini castle cakes cost. Also how big are they? I was thinking about ordering a cake at 1900 Park Fare for my daughter's 12 birthday, our ADR is at 4:55pm. We are celebrating it the same evening we are attending MNSSHP and don't want to be carrying leftover cake with us.

It really depends on the server you get! Make sure you've got your info though so you know you're not over charged for sure!

Does anyone have any information on getting a customized cake from Disney, or a store surrounding Disney?

---and if it is a store surrounding Disney, do you think they'll deliver?

We will be at Disney for my Mothers birthday, and I'd like to get a custom cake (Small one) just to celebrate it but with a touch of Disney added.

Try the cake hotline number on the first page for a resort or restrauant while at Disney. Whatever Publix is by Disney would be able to make a regular cake and put Disney stuff on it. (we've got them here in SC and they're good cakes-not as good as Disney, but good!) Publix will not deliver though-you'd have to be able to pick it up. Disney needs at least 48 hours notice while Publix I've called the night before or morning of and they've been able to accomidate requests.

Good luck!

It's just beautiful! So glad you were happy with it. Price isn't too bad either! :thumbsup2

Thank You! It really was a pretty cake. I had NO problems dealing with the GF cake line, and in particular with Linda who handled all the details! :thumbsup2

I am wondering.. If we have breakfast (late breakfast) at Arkershus Storybook Princess character meal in Epcot, is it far to go to the Boardwalk bakery? I could come in through the boardwalk and pick up a cake. And I assume it wouldn't be a problem to hand it to the waitress to bring out to ds for his birthday would it?? It's the day we fly out and his actual birth DAY. Seems like picking up a cake at the boardwalk is our best bet right?

Not a direct answer to your question but for your information we had a cake at Akershus last year. We were only given four options of cake, Princess or Mickey in either vanilla/vanilla or chocolate/chocolate. Went for Vanilla Princess. It was very creamy and quite nice but the decoration was nothing special.

I just called the # for the Park Fare, and the lady (who really wasn't all that helpful) told me that I couldn't get the white chocolate minnie mouse on top of a cake because it was too heavy. :confused3 I am totally confused as I have seen it on a few cakes on this thread and the old thread. Has anyone recently tried to get the white chocolate minnie mouse?

Who has had a cake at Park Fare and could post any info about who they dealt with, as this lady did not seem to know a lot. I kept telling her I did NOT want a screen image, and when she would give me a suggestion for something...it was always a screen image. Ugh!

We are celebrating my DD's 4th birthday (on her actual day) at the Park Fare in a couple of weeks. She loves Mickey/Minnie, but being that we are at Park Fare, I wanted to keep the cake very girly but with a touch of Minnie Mouse. Ideas/suggestions? Thanks for any advice.

I called ASmo and spoke to someone in the office I do believe. She said that I need to call 7 days before we arrive and order a cake. She wasn't able to give me cake sizes flavors or costs . She insisted that 7 days out I can get all that information. So I know they offer it, but I'm big on planning and would like to know my options. If I don't like the options, I will have to get a cake elsewhere.
I did contact the one responsible for cakes at the Coral Reef. We are having a nice lunch there with a surprise for dh (diver and menu) I don't mind doing the cake then and there, but I can't find a picture anywhere. She emailed me this info...
Coral Reef
6" cake - no personalization $21.00 vanilla cake with whip cream icing

These cakes are personalization -
8" cake with flowers and border $32.00
8" cake with picture of character $42.00
Mickey Mouse head shaped cake $48.00

Cake flavors are chocolate or vanilla
Icing flavors are white butter cream, dark chocolate or whip cream.

I can honestly say I would be more inclined to get the flowers with border cake for price and for the fact dh doesn't have a favorite character. He isn't gaga for Disney, he just enjoys family time and whatever makes us all happy. And that is DISNEY! lol ;) But I want to do something for him. I want to fuss over him for this one day. I want him to feel special and pampered a bit.
Now, I know DH and DS enjoy Star Wars. I am just trying to think what DH would think is 'cool' for a cake. He is very much into computers and nerdy stuff. lol Not sure waht to do.

I can tell you that I ordered a cake for pick up at ASMo way more than 7 days in advance. My options for flavors were limited, I believe they were chocolate, white, and marble with either buttercream or whipped frosting. I ended up with a marble cake with whipped frosting and Mickey on top; everyone loved it. I payed $25 for a 12 inch cake. (I had requested the cake for 9am but it was not ready at that time so I got a discount.)

Alrighty, so if I were to order a character cake, i finally found out that DH's fav character is the Mr Potato head from Toy Story :happytv: Like what? Couldn't be simple like Mickey Mouse! I had to be very sneaky to get this out of him!
So has anybody gotten a Mr Potato head cake before?? Any pics? :rotfl:

That's the exact one that I was trying to tell her about. :lmao:

And there was another one that was very similar but had pink frosting with hearts and flowers with the W.Choc. Minnie. I don't know what that lady was talking about. I just told her I would have to think about things again and that I would call back. I hope when I do I get someone else who has a better idea. This lady didn't really seem to know what she was talking about or was paying attention to what I was saying. Ugh...:headache:

Our upcoming trip is going to be a very special one. My brother, his wife, their two boys, and his wife's mother will be joining us for our Thanksgiving holiday. My brother hasn't been to WDW since 1985; my sister in law went once as a young child, and my nephews have never been. There was NO WAY they were going to Disney for the first time without Aunt Melanie. ;) So, we will be celebrating a first trip for my nephews (7 and 4), my brother's 40th birthday, and my sister in law's 40th birthday. We have reservations for Chef Mickey's the first night they arrive. I would love to do a welcome/Happy Birthday cake for my brother. Growing up his favorite characters were Chip and Dale. Has anyone had a Chip and Dale themed cake done? Oh, and my brother despises chocolate...will NOT touch it at all. (What is wrong with him??? :confused3 )

Now, for my sister in law, I'm thinking of either something delivered to the room at AKL or getting a cake from the Boardwalk for her birthday. We are eating at Spoodles one night and that would be perfect for the Boardwalk option. She is a chocolate girl through and through. So, any suggestions for that one? She's also pretty girly, too, so perhaps some girly theme for her cake.

I'm open to any suggestions!

Hi everyone,
Just a quick pricing question. I know the cake prices have gone up, but I heard they raised the price for the picture scan??? I thought I read a few pages back it's $30? Is this true?

Thanks for any help!

I realized I never posted a picture of my daughter's Jonas Brothers cake from July. It was an awesome cake! The lady at the Boardwalk said it was the first JB request they had gotten. The cake was delicious, and my daughter was surprised and thrilled!
