I ordered this cake from SSR but the Boardwalk Bakery made it and delivered it to SSR for me to pick it up. Total cost $70.

I LOVE that cake. Too cute :lovestruc

It was about 3 pages back but I'll post it for you. ;)

It's $25 and it's a single-serving cake.

The outside is only available with white frosting. The inside comes in three flavors:

Chocolate cake/chocolate mousse filling
Vanilla/white chocolate mousse
Cheesecake

It is only made at the GF and served there as far as I know. But I vaguely remember hearing of one person having luck getting it at the BCV. Not sure though.

This post goes back a ways, but I did have a question about it. I would LOVE to get both my DS who is turning 4 and DD who is turning 3 each one of these cakes. The question is- where the piped flowers are, could there be something done there not so feminine? DS loves the castle cake, but I want it to be a little more boyish. Also, at 1900 Park Fare there seems to be many amazing desserts. I can't imagine eating much of this cake. However, can they box them up well and perhaps have plastic grocery store type of bags? We are headed to the Osbourne lights afterwards(unless we are too tired since it's the day we are flying in) Does anyone suggest getting just one cake instead of 2? I like the idea of them having their own, but I don't want too much cake. Leftovers for the day after is good enough. :)

Thanks so much! Just got my 1900 PF Reservations (which were very tough to get and a lot of me calling to see if there were any cancellations) So Im really excited about this. :yay: :yay:

It's my sons 5th birthday on October 30th and we are eating at the Liberty Tree Tavern followed my MNSSHP.

What cake options do i have for here? What can i have written on? Can i have a power rangers cake? what fillings can i have? etc.

Found lots of cake options here but not much for the Liberty Tree.

Has anyone ever had a special cake at LTT?

Thanks all so much:goodvibes

Do the AS food courts have any cakes that I can just pick up myself and bring to our room?

Sorry to be a pain but just re-posting in case someone may have an email address for me?

Many thanks

xxx
Unfortunately, I think you're going to have to make the call. I doubt the email will work very well. It's always better to talk to someone in person. I do realize you're in UK, so it will be a bit more costly to call though.

Here are pics of the cakes we got a couple of weeks ago:

OOOHHH!!! That Minnie cake looks yummy! How was it? I think I am going to get one of those!

honeystar, those mini castle cakes are not very big, so they might be "just enough" for your children!

Oh good!! :) I never thought I would be happy I would be getting a small cake for $25. lol
Now I am trying to figure out what I can request to make the castle cake more boyish. That is a tough one. Hmmm...

honeystar, perhaps just having the mini castle cake for your son with only the white chocolate castle atop (and no flourishes of additional frilly buttercream flowers going up the sides)? - it's too bad they don't offer a different frosting choice (like chocolate!)

Yeah, that is a good idea. Just take off the frills. Perhaps even if they just pipe some small mickey heads around. It's a shame they don't have Ch. icing for those.

Im not too sure if I should get them choc, vanilla, or cheesecake. They are not picky eaters. HOwever dd does love Chocolate, and what I get one I should get the other. Trying to avoid a fight ;) I am learning. But I want the cheesecake :lmao:

good luck with that decision!

personally, i'd get one chocolate and one cheesecake, and then "distract" them so they can't tell they've got different flavors! ;)

(bad mommy moment here....)

It was $45 plus tax plus the In Room delivery charge (18% I think?). I'm thinking the room charge was $60. It was worth it. They delivered it while we were at dinner and the table was set with forks/plates and candles. And the cake was MUCH bigger than I thought it would be.

PS-I had to remind them when I called to confirm that I wanted the MINNIE head (they had written Mickey Head). And they may tell you that that they can't write on the cake, but you can see that they can write on the plate!

I found this picture on the first cake thread and it is almost what i want to order for our upcoming anniversary trip. We will have our kids with us so i want to make sure we have enough cake and I also want a nice cake. We never got to have a wedding or cake so this will be real special. So my question is do they still make this kind of cake and how would i explain it to them. I want it to be decorated exactly like this but with maybe a square bottom cake and a smaller square cake on top. We will be staying at the GF and would want it delivered to our room.

I just LOVE the Mickey and Minnie cake topper and the gold stamped mickey heads. Any info on how to order this would be great. Thanks

I haven't had a chance to go thru both threads yet but I was wondering if anyone has gotten a cake with the white chocolate tinkerbelle on it. I was told it was a statue and they will be painting it also to make it look festive. my daughter fell in love with tinkerbelle when we were there for her 16th birthday, yea it took her 16 years. And now we are giong in 2 weeks celebrating her 21st and I have ordered a cake for the Hoop De Doo. We have to pick it up at the Contemporary but i am really excited. It is 3 layers with chocolate mousee between the layers, we will have a white layer, chocolate layer and white layer. Can't wait and I will take pictures and try to post when we return in October.

We are celebrating DS's 9th birthday at Coral Reef. We have a diver and personalized menus ordered and a basket from Betsy being delivered, but I have not been impressed with the cakes I have seen which have come from CR. I am considering collecting a cake from Boardwalk Bakery and taking it with us to CR. Does anybody know:-
What is the latest time I could collect a cake from BWB (what time does it close?)
Will CR get offended if I turn up with a cake that isn't their's
Thanks for all your help
Joanne

We ordered the Hannah Montanna cake Sept '07 - I called the hotline listed on page one of the cake hotline thread - the CM talked me thru what I could have and as I was undecided she offered the Hannah Montanna screen!

I think I'd like to order a TInkerbelle cake, but I honestly am not prepared to pay $70 for a cake, I think dd would prefer the $25 cake and then money to buy a "pick a pearl" with a setting! (but that's just us, I keep reading and thinking, and changing mymind, I now have 3 weeks, and I HAVE TO MAKE DECISION!!) :scared1:

BTW its my understanding from talking to 2 bakeries here (one Sam's club btw) that they have "edible" paper and "edible" ink, so they use their computer and print out after personalizing the cake screen above -

The cake was indeed DELICIOUS!!
