Forgot to mention in first post, I see you are celebrating you ann on Sep 08, is that you actual date ? If so that is ours and I also am a Jennifer ( go by jen)

Ours is September 19, actually. Happy anniversary to you, it's coming up pretty soon!

My DH requested the chocolate slipper as a special treat for me, sweet but odd chocolate-hating guy he is, but it comes in white chocolate too. The cake underneath is a sponge or angel food cake, delicious with the fruits' juices soaked in.

Hi! I am not sure if this is the right place and it probably has been asked in the 51 prior pages, but can you order non-cake food items to be delivered to your room at AKL/AKV? For example, chocolate covered strawberries or cookies?

Thanks everyone!

You need to call Private Dining at AK and ask what they offer - the selection is different at every resort. :thumbsup2

Ours is the 19th, too! Happy Anniversary to both of you!

From what I've seen recently, YC/BC private dining is making the best cakes at the moment (at least the prettiest/ most creative). The GF & BW bakeries are too inconsistent now. I can't help but wonder, if they're trying to discourage people from ordering them. If it were me, I would go with YC/BC.

Thank you for the advice.
I appreciate your time:flower3:

I called to see if they could make an egg free cake as my youngest is allergic to eggs and they said that they could... I was soooo happy.. :)

Thanks! That's BEAUTIFUL!!! I picked flavors to re-create what he didn't get to eat at our wedding! I can't wait!

I feel so flattered that you all like my anniversary cake so much! We had it at Narcosse's. Was filled with yellow cake and strawberry mousse!! YUMMY!! It was alot of cake and I am very embarrassed to say that I ate almost the whole thing BY MYSELF!! :rolleyes1 Over a weeks time though LOL~ The cost was around $100 plus gratuity and WORTH EVERY PENNEY. I love this cake more than my wedding cake:love:

We have a couple of birthdays on our trip (mine is one of them :yay: ) so I've been looking at all the yummy looking cakes on this thread.

I have a question about the images (flat and stand up) - do they have a stock of them to choose from or do they just go and find whatever's requested? I'm thinking a Disney heroines (rather than princesses) cake for us girls - picking out some like Pocahontas/Esmerelda/Jane etc - but I doubt there's a picture of a bunch of them together. I could probably paste one together myself, but doubt they'd be able to use that because of copyright?

Dbf and his friend (whose girlfriend's birthday it will be too) really want to make the cake call themselves, so I don't want to ask for something impossible.

We'll be in DW for free dining, and one of my dds asked if she and her sister could celebrate their birthdays while we're there. (We won't be there on their birthdays.) I asked her what she had in mind, and she said maybe a little birthday cupcake or something. :lovestruc

So, I was thinking of having an "unbirthday" celebration. We'll be having breakfast at 1900 PF, and I know they have a good bakery. I could order a Cinderella slipper or maybe a cake that's "Mad Hatterish." Since Alice will be at breakfast, I'm going to have my girls dressed in Alice costumes (if I can get them on sale).

Any suggestions?

AWESOME!!! What choices did they give you? Did they give you any details as to flavors? Prices? Anything else? I'm also allergic to eggs and it will be wonderful to order a safe cake while there. I've wanted to get a cake anyway since it is our Honeymoon and Larry's first WDW trip.

Looks like I'll be going before you so I guess I'll have to let you know how it tastes.

Chell, I'm not sure where you are ordering from.

Hollywood and Vine: I got 2 cakes that were listed as Vegan.

I also have an order in at a MK resort. I called, I asked for Vegan, I got connected to the chef and requested Chocolate with Caramel. He checked with pastry and called me back a week later saying it was do able.

Also if you have a car or don't mind paying for delivery I recommend sweet tooth vegan offsite. Tons of options.

Thanks for all the great info Cheryl! I have no idea where we will be ordering it from yet but I'm going to check out the place you suggested off site.

We will be on our honeymoon & I want to order a cake when we are at Coral Reef. It will only be the 2 of us so what size would be best & also what are the prices..Can you get the mini castle put on top?!

Hey y'all! There some great new cake pictures here! There are also some terrifying stories on here. I have to say, had I gotten a cake for a birthday when it was my anniversary, I think I would have lost it....then to have it come back with a mis-spelled word, I would have had Walt Disney himself at my door to fix the problem....how terribly frustrating. I would have told the person who delivered it to send his supervisor up to collect the money if he wanted it that badly. I would certainly forward that picture on to the bakery and guest relations. I'm going to be calling to double and triple check my order for our trip. I hope all goes well!

Good luck everyone!! Happy cake ordering and eating!

Well, I was not going to order a cake, but DH had to work this weekend due to the bad weather caused by Hurricane Fay (he works for the Power Co.), and his birthday was Saturday, so we didn't get to celebrate at all.

He said that we would just celebrate at the ESPN Club on Thursday (he loves football and our hometown team is playing that night.)

Sooo, I broke down and called today. I wasn't sure if I could even order one there since you can't make reservations, but I called the Cake Hotline and followed the prompts. Sure enough, it was on there!

We have 8 people in our party, so I ordered the 10", vanilla cake, white chocolate mousse filling, white buttercream icing. I asked for a football decoration and she said that it had to be Disney, so I asked for Mickey holding a football. She put me on hold to check with the bakery and said that yes, they could do that.

I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm guessing it'll come from the Boardwalk Bakery, so hopefully it'll be good!

I hope you have a great time! We ordered our cake from the Boardwalk and we were very pleased with it!! I hope yours turns out fabulous as well!

Enjoy! :dance3:

Thank you! I'll be sure to take pictures and let you all know how it turns out when we get home.

I just gave my charge card to the grand floridian bakery for our custom tinkerbelle cake - Im so excited - I went for the marble cake with white chocolate filling - My daughter really likes fruit but my husband doesn't and there are only 4 of us eating it. Look, look, look at her note below - I CANT WAIT TO SEE OUR CUSTOM CAKE . . .

"After speaking with our Pastry Chef, she is going to create a very special Tinkerbelle cake for you. The cost of $_ _ _ . _ _ will include fondant icing with special Tinkerbelle theming decoration. Please let me know if you wish to proceed with the order. We will need to know the cake flavor and filling you would like."
