From what I've heard, only the at-the-podium kind of cakes (formerly $12.50, now $21) are being outsourced to Sara Lee, while custom cakes are still going to be made on-property.

I'd also heard that those at-the-podium cakes weren't very good - it'll be interesting to hear how people like Sara Lee's version!

When do the sara lee cakes start? Does anyone know how they taste?

Does anyone know if Boma has a 6 inch Zebra cake or is the smallest 8? Do they do anything for a birthday for breakfast?:goodvibes
TIA,
Linda

Does anyone know whats inside the zebra stripped cake? I keep hearing theres alcohol in it and some others say there isnt. Can you order without the alcohol? What are the cake choices and fillings for zebra stripped cake or is it a set cake flavor and set filling? If so, what is it?

Would like to know this to....

I'm waiting to hear back from AKL about placing our order. If I remember, I will ask and post back what I find out.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if you can get the white chocolate "minnie" in different characters? And to have them painted is that something the GF bakery can do also?

TIA!!!!!!

I think I saw that someone on the old thread. If anyone can do it - it would be the GF I would think. Good luck!

We are celebrating a birthday at Cinderella's Royal Table this year. Do they do special desserts or cakes? If so, does anyone have any pics?

Just got back from my celebrating my son's first birthday! I had ordered the 8in cake for our Plaza reservations at MK. I requested vanilla on vanilla with an edible Mickey and Mickey confetti. This is what I got.

This was the only picture of the inside that I took! lol

The cake was DELICIOUS! I can't figure out what was in the middle, some type of pudding I believe. The 8in cake was too big for the 8 of us so we ended up giving the rest to the servers in the back. I paid $33 and it was worth every penny! I searched this thread before I left for pictures of what I may get so hope this helps someone else!

Just in case anyone else has a family member with peanut allergies. I just tried ordering the mini castle cake for my gf's girlfriend but they reported that it can not be guaranteed peanut free. When asked for other options they only suggested that I get an allergy free desert from the restaurant (a berry platter or something). Kind of a bummer but at least they are looking out for the safety of guests. After speaking to the CM, it seemed like any of the cakes/desserts could contain peanuts, which you think they would be more careful about.

Kayla your son is absolutely adorable! I love that picture of him with the cake. Happy First Birthday to him! That was very kind of you to share with the servers.

The reason they may not be able to guarantee a peanut free dessert is because some of the ingredients they order may have that little blurb on the bottom saying that it may be processed on the same equipment as peanuts or other tree nuts. I would say they are absolutely playing it safe. If they are not 100% certain it is peanut free they are looking out for their customers.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I'm not sure if they ended up eating it or not, but it was close to closing so hopefully they enjoyed it!

We'll be staying at WL in just under two weeks. We're celebrating DGpa's 65th birthday as well as DS7 bday. I'm thinking a cars cake or pirate mickey for DS and a Dumbo cake for DGpa. We have ADR's at GG and CRT, but I selfishly would rather enjoy the desserts they provide with the meal and have the cakes delivered to our room at WL.

??Just wondering other opinions on this & others' experiences with having cakes delivered to rooms. I was hoping it would be delivered while we're out as a surprise for when we return.

and

??has anyone every ordered a Dumbo cake?

Thanks so much!:dance3:

How did it go? Do you have any pictures?
We're celebrating my son's birthday when we stay at WL in November so I'm intersted in hearing how everything went and if you have any suggestions!
Thanks! :cool1:

It's my understanding that WL does not do silkscreened images. They do sugar flowers on cakes only. you *MIGHT* be able to talk to the people at WL and see if they would bring you one from one of thresorts that does something else, but even that is a longshot.

Does anyone have any pics of cakes with Sulley from Monsters, Inc. on them?

We are having a welcome dinner at the Captain;s Grill at YC the night before our wedding, and I would like to do a groom's cake with Sulley on it for DF if possible!

TIA,
Amy
