Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've read through all of Part I and most of part II of this cake thread. Is it possible to get anything other than the standard 6" cake at Chef Mickey's? I really wanted to order the Mickey Mouse (head) cake for my twins' birthdays (in 2 weeks) at Chef Mickey's. Please let me know if it's possible to have a cake ordered and delivered to Chef Mickey's. Thanks!

I remember seeing someone ordered the Mickey head at CM. Just call the cake hotline on the 1st post and follow prompts.

Should I change my ressies to include a GF restraunt? I think I really want a mini castle cake! :rotfl: I'm sure there's no way that I'll be able to switch anything for September but I could probably add something to December. We're already eating at CRT on our last morning in Dec-can I get the castle there or no?

If I need to add, what's the best place to eat at GF so I can get a cake there???

I'm going to try and call Boardwalk Bakery this afternoon to get a Cars cake for DS3 when we go in September for his birthday. I called over the weekend and left messages at a couple of places so I don't know if I should even bother calling today or giving the other places I tried a bit more time to follow up. It's already too late to try and get anything before the price increase. :guilty:

You can order the mini castle cake at any GF restaurant. I also wanted this cake for my DD and my birthday and settled for breakfast at the GF Cafe. I didn't want to lose any of my other ADR's, so cake for breakfast it will be.:goodvibes

Thanks for all your help on this thread! Please check your pm's - I have a question re: the images you emailed for your cakes. Thanks again!

We are going to be there in Sept, during my DH's birthday. I have looked through about all of the posts on both cake threads, and frankly, I'm exhausted! I'm trying to get ideas for what cake to order. Currently we are staying in CBR, though I'm trying to change over to the contemp, a near impossible feat during free dining. I was really leaning toward getting a mickey head cake, until my 4 year old dd suggested getting a Donald cake since that is DH's middle name. Genius! So I was wondering what kind of Donald cakes are offered. I'm not a massive fan of the screen printing on cakes, b/c we like chocolate icing and it's hard to see on chocolate usually. I'd love a Donald head cake like the Mickey one. Who do you guy recommend? I'd like the best tasting cake, and for under $50 delivered to my room. Is Boardwalk Bakery better w/ varieties and delivery? I really want to suprise my DH so this is very important to me!

Here is a picture of the cake I had done for my sister's Bday. We ate at the Prime Time and the MGM bakery made this one for us since she loves Piglet. It was simple and nice. I expected more and something more unique then a imprint.. But she loved the surprise either way. This was Dec 27-2007.

I saw on the 1st Cake thread a gorgreous Donald cake but it was way over $50. Maybe you can see if they can put a white chocolate Donald topper on the cake.

I would like to know whats the # to call to order a cake from the GF bakery. We will be eating in Narcosees next month on the 12th and I called today to the cake hotline and they told me that I need to called 72 hours before. Is that possible or there is another # I can called, oh I also tried the GF bakery# that is on the first page and they told me the same thing. Thanks!!

I'm not sure about the specific number, but did you mention you wanted a "custom" cake not the frozen 6" type? That may make a difference. I would also tell them that you'd like to place the order now and you could certainly call and follow up on it 72 hours prior if they'd like. :confused3

Maybe if you call back and get another CM, you'll get another answer. :goodvibes Lots of folks here have used GF bakery so I'm sure someone will have some good advice for you.

Hi all, well after all my fears about the cake, everything turned out WONDERFULLY. I called the day before we left, July 2, and spoke to Linda who confirmed the order for the cake at Narcoosee's on the 8th. I have to give tremendous thanks to the folks at the bakery and Narcoosee's. I never once called the restaurant to have anything additional set up, I simply order the cake from the hotline. When we arrived anniversary buttons were on the table AND they had printed the menus to say "Happy 30th Anniversary Mom & Dad" to match the cake. My mother actually got all teary when she saw it. The cake was phenomenal. I ordered the 8 inch with chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. The only specifications I gave them was what it was to say (Happy 30th Anniversary Mom & Dad). And what I got was spectacular. I'm stealing your picture PrincessMommy since I haven't loaded mine yet and because it was the identical cake except the white chocolate rose on yours was dark chocolate on mine...and the marble seems to have a bit more milk chocolate than white chocolate. EVERYONE raved about it. It was light and fluffy and delicious. We ordered some ice cream on the side. I wish I could hug everyone at the bakery and Narcoosee's who helped make this dinner special for my parents.

I just called the cake hotline (listed on page 1) yesterday and followed the prompts to order my cake and tuxedo strawberries for our anniversary dinner at Narcoosees next week. I had no problem placing the order. I even had to call back after I realized I forgot to tell them the inscription I wanted. The woman I spoke with was very gracious and accomodating. I would try calling again.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am so happy to hear all of your planning paid off. :goodvibes The GF bakery makes gorgeous cakes!

When you called the day before to confirm everything, did you call the GF bakery directly? I am also planning to call next week to confirm everything is in order for our anniversary dinner at Narcoosees.

FYI...I ordered this cake through GF Private Dining for our Wishes Celebration :boat: Cruise. I actually ordered an 8 inch vanilla cake /vanilla mousse with the ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo white chocolate :bride: :groom: topper but was given this. The :cake: was DELICIOUS!

Yes they really did a wonderful job. When I called to confirm I called the cake hotline again and pressed all the same prompts. When I was connected I told the woman I was calling not to order but to confirm, she said she had to transfer me, and within seconds I was speaking to Linda who confirmed everything.

I just called and the prices have gone up.They said a 6 inch cake is now $21 and an 8 inch is $32 I didn't pay attention to the rest because those were the sizes I was interested in..

wow! this thread is a little overwhelming:rotfl:

I want to order a cake for my cousins birthday for next month, but I'm not sure where to start.

SO I need to wait 48 hours in advance to order? or can I order earlier then that?

I'm thinking about having it at WCC, but I'm not sure if I should order at the Boardwalk Bakery since that's where we're staying and take it with us, or order from WCC directly.

Just don't know what to do, but I guess there are worse decisions to make:rotfl:

Here is the cake we ordered for my aunt and uncle's 60th birthday dinner at California Grill. It was delicious! It was the smaller cake (can't remember how many inches). There were 7 of us. We each had cake and then cake a huge chunk to the waitress for her and the rest of the waitstaff. We STILL had cake left over and took it back to the room and ate it for the next two days!
