**Official August 2016 Check In Thread**

Guys I'm so close now! I work overnight tonight, run around all day Tuesday (and finally pack!!!) then we leave Wednesday morning!!! I can't wait! The only thing in my suitcase so far are my custom made ears!!!

I just printed my boarding passes!!!!!!!!!! It became real to me on Saturday when the concierge from PPH called me to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns. I love Disney's customer service; let the pixie dust fly.pixiedust:

Last week of working before we leave on Saturday. I don't have a thing packed but I have been doing laundry, so at least there should be clean clothes to pack!

@OregonMomToWDW great list. I didn't mention in my other post that we are staying at the new Hyatt House at Katella and Harbor. A little sad that we are not staying on property this time, but our low Canadian dollar adds at least 30% to the prices so I just couldn't justify paying so much. I'm really glad to see a lot of new hotels within walking distance. Makes the decision to stay off property much easier.
I updated the list. With my daughter leaving to live in Japan soon, I am having a crash course in exchange rates. The yen is doing much better against the dollar now than when she set her budget, so everything costs more than expected. This is our first trip staying on property. I had never felt the need to stay on property for Disneyland before, so I know you will have a wonderful time.

We will be at PPH for this trip. My son is with his Dad until Monday so I can get all the laundry and packing done in peace! It's going to be really hard working tomorrow and Monday. We leave at 6am on Tuesday. I already sent my " on vacation" email at work so hopefully people will leave me alone! I have vacation brain so I'm sort of useless right now. :ssst:
Yay for staying at Paradise Pier! That should be fun. Only 1 day left! I still have 4 days of work to get through. I really hope I don't have to do anything that requires much thought. We will show up on the 21st. I am hoping the temperature cools off some.

Have a great trip!:jumping1:

Wow great list!
I guess I forgot to add that we decided on the Homewood Suites on Harbor.
The Toy story lot is right next door so hopefully we won't ever need to walk it.
I updated the list. We stayed across the street from Toy Story lot (2 years ago) and there were several times I had wished we had taken the shuttle instead of ART. Have a wonderful trip!

I am getting so excited my grand daughter and I leave Saturday morning. I have been able to keep the trip a secret from her. We are telling her tomorrow night at dinner that we are going on Saturday. We may need to take it easy our first day or so because she is just getting over step throat. I am all packed and ready to go. I booked the WOC dessert for us and the Frozen pre show event. For our last full day I booked breakfast at The Carnation Cafe.

I am hoping the trip reveal was crazy and awesome and that she was super excited. I bet you are having a wonderful time there.

We tried to keep this trip a secret from my 12 year old, but after this weekend we aren't sure that we succeeded. She was talking Disneyland nonstop.

14 days until we arrive at DL! We have managed to keep the trip a secret from our kids so far!

I took the liberty of making up a quick itinerary since we are travelling with another family who have never been. Nothing crazy just park opening times and dining reservations. They replied that they thought they would just "wing it". Sigh. Amateurs!

This made me laugh, then I remembered we usually wing it for the most part when we do DLR. At WDW, we plan much more. However, having said that, we "wing it" only after we do our main rides and attractions at rope drop. I only have 2 reservations and they are both for "extras" like PTN and Frozen pre-show. The rest of the meals, we do eat whenever and wherever we can find. So, my definition of winging it, might be different from their definition. I like to know which park we will start in and which land and it is understood by my family that rope drop is a given.

Good job at keeping it a secret. I know I nearly slipped up several times this weekend. My daughter was mentioning how she missed Taco Bell churros and that we don't like the ones from Costco and I was this close to saying that she can have a churro next week when we are at Disneyland. Then, a friend of hers asked her if she would be at church next Sunday and she promised she would be and I couldn't correct her. Hang in there for the last little bit. Stay strong. It is amazing how you will want to say things because Disneyland is on your brain.

Yes, that would be my version of winging it too... having a plan for certain things and then seeing what the day brings for the rest

I'm now mostly packed and finished work. I'm finished appointment #1 and waiting for #2 of 3. All checked in for our flights too. I just need more sleep 75 minutes was not enough after work.

We are officially under a week! This time next week we will be IN California and probably have our AP's which has been a HUGE dream of ours for YEARS! It's a dream come true!!! Lots of Pixie Dust spread on us this year to make it happen! :D

I haven't packed. I haven't gotten gift cards. I feel so behind. We leave Saturday. I am sure I will get it all together, but now, it isn't looking so good. Ha ha.

We have only 4 days left till we leave for our Disneymoon! The suitcase is all packed. So looking forward to a corndog from Corndog Castle!

We have been many times but have never had a corndog. I plan to get one this trip. We have also never had a churro at Disneyland. Gasp! I know.
