QotD: Are you eating at any new restaurants this trip that you're excited for? How about your favorites that you can't wait to return to?

We are eating at BoG, Sanaa and HBD all for the first time, and I can't wait to try them all!

I'm most excited about BoG!! Even if the food is just OK (and I've read mixed reviews), I'm thrilled to eat in the castle. Beauty & the Beast is my favorite Disney movie!

Also new to us are Via Napoli, T-Rex, Sci-Fi, Splitsville, Hollywood & Vine (that one's for our Sofia and Doc fans), and 50s Prime Time (have ADR but still on the fence about that one).

Really, I'm excited about all our restaurants. In August, I NEED to know I have an air-conditioned, sit-down meal to look forward to as a break.

We are trying Boma for the first time. Other than that, all our ADRs are for places we've been to and all love (getting all four of us to agree on menus is not easy ;) ) - - 50s Prime Time is my kids' favorite! They love the interaction with the waiters we've had in the past. Last time, the waiter had my DD take the kids from another table to the bathroom, to wash their hands: "Hannah, show these kids where the potty is, so they can wash up." :lmao: Food wise, California Grill is my favorite and DH and I go on a date night.

We are eating at BOG, Turf Club, and Via Napoli for the first time. Also planning on trying Spice Road table! Going to Ohana's for the first time in 14 years!! Can't wait!

We are also doing the Epcot After Hours wind down at La Cava on 8/30. I am not sure what to expect, but hopefully it will be great!

So i just woke up and grabbed my tablet and went on Kayak like i always do and one of the return flights had dropped to $160 so i grabbed it! :cool1:
They have been holding steady at 225+ and i just couldnt bring myself to pay that. $160 still a bit higher than i would have liked but i know it probably wont go any lower considering its labor day. So, $136 down and $160 back. :thumbsup2

Excellent prices...congrats!

I will be there in August, too!
We are staying at AofA in a Nemo suite! It will be our first time to stay there and I am so EXCITED!

Please put us on the calendar as arriving 8/4 and checking out 8/9

If I were given an extra $500 for the trip, I would probably spend it on souvenirs! Especially a Dooney & Bourke bag!::yes::

We've had our family meeting to agree FP+ decisions today :D

We've agreed that our first day in each park, where we are all touring together, we will focus as much as possible on 'family' entertainment, then DH and I have our choices on our second day in each park.

It's great that my younger brother and SIL totally understand the need for some planning. They weren't able to come for our wedding (my niece was born twenty five days after our wedding!) but my older brother and SIL did - they didn't get behind the planning so much and it made it much harder work!

North Conway, we will do Storyland (our own personal little Disney World, lol), Alpine Slide, Polar Caves, etc. NF, we're staying on the CA side. Its our first time there. We're going to an aquarium, a zoo and then just the Falls area. :cool1:

I LOVE STORYLAND!!! we went there every year when I was a kid but it's been so long since. I've always wanted to do santas village!

Lol, I was planning my kids' first Story land visit when ODS was in utero. We went every year growing up. I love it almost as much as I love WDW

As a pair we are going to BoG, San Angel Inn, Cape May, and Kona for the first time this trip :) Technically we've never been to Tusker House since it became a TS restaurant, so that counts too. Jem's never been to Sci-Fi so that counts for her too!

We're most excited to go back to Prime Time, Brown Derby, and Le Cellier, our top three favorites. We couldn't do the latter two last year because we couldn't afford them so going back this year will be awesome.

All this talk of Storyland and all I can hear in my head is the commercial that plays constantly :)

Where fantasy lives!!! :rotfl2:

I'm admitting I really like the quick service options. I like being able to wing it and decide what (and how much) we want as we go along. We have our favorites including Pizzafari and PizzaPlanet (DS would eat pizza every day, even WDW pizza), most Epcot options and Columbia Harbor House at MK. We are trying two new ADRs though: Via Napoli (of course) and Boma dinner. I keep checking on BOG as well, but I think I missed my chance on that one...

Since we will be on the Deluxe Dining plan, we are trying a few new restaurants including Tusker House (breakfast and lunch on the same day!), Mama Melrose, Grand Floridian Cafe, Narcoossees, Beaches and Cream, Le Cellier, and 50's Prime Time.

A couple of old favorites will be Garden Grill and Ohana. The kids will be going to Chef Mickey and The Crystal Palace with their grandparents.

Looks like a fun-filled time, Scramp_Vamp!

I'm in the middle of discussing our FP+ options with Jem. We're thinking of just doing our big ones right away next week when we can then adding what we want as we get closer.

We did make the decision last night to go to the Wind Down in Tutto Gusto on the 9th as the end of our relaxing day. I'm excited for that!

Just sent the reservation request to my travel agent! We'll be at ASMu 8/30-9/5! We went for my sister's wedding two years ago and DH said at the time that we'd likely never go back, but here we go! We're driving this time, partly because we just can't justify the cost for luggage for the 4 of us. It's nuts (southwest isn't an option, unfortunately). It's supposed to be a surprise for the kids, let's see if I can last that long.

We also have Garden Grill booked but apparently the restaurant hasn't been spinning in a couple of months. :( We will cancel if it doesn't get fixed by August. I love the scenery from Living With The Land.

Has anyone been to the Crew's Cup? I thought since we are without kids, it might be nice to eat in a lounge.
