I need to get on my ADRs! I want to try new restaurants so i'm thinking Liberty Tree Tavern for one of my MK nights, Teppan Edo for Epcot, Artist Point at WL......and was hoping for oHana for other Mk night but looks to be booked so i'll have to keep an eye out for a cancellation.

Trying to decide if I want to spend $400+ on the Backstage Magic tour. :scratchin

I have a whole list because there are still plenty of things we haven't tried!
My biggest priorities are the MK opening show, Fantastmic! and catching a vet procedure at Rafiki's Planet Watch. The rest of the list includes:
Soarin
Hall of Presidents
Enchanted Tiki Room
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Tea Cups
Nemo
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor and/or Turtle Talk

Push was on the list but

maddiebee - - I was reading other threads about top things to do, and I started making MY list from their posts, and that's what prompted me to post the QOTD! LOL!

My husband was picked by one of the Laugh Floor comics and was instructed to dance on camera - - - OMG that was hilarious and mortifying all at the same time! :rotfl2:

I hadn't seen Push the trashcan until our last trip, but he followed us around when we were in Tomorrowland last July and it was a hoot!

Here's my list to try next trip:
~ Rafiki's Planet Watch
~ Rope Drop ANYWHERE (no one in my family gets up early, so I may have to do this one solo)
~ Maelstrom
Probably will come up with more, but that's all I have for now.

Hoping to get more from the rest of you!

QOTD: Do you have plans to try a new attraction this trip? If so, what one?!

I have never tried Sum of all Thrills and want to give it a try and the Mine Train. I also want to take my daughter to Enchanted Tales with Belle since we have not done it before. I never felt like waiting in the line before.

I made one for our stay, but could only get 5:10pm. Oh well. I hope the food is good, as I have read good and bad things about H&V. As long as it doesn't taste bad or really look icky, I am ok with that. I am a bit worried though, my kids never want to go back to Chef Mickey's. This and Cape May for breakfast are the only 2 buffets we are doing.

So looking forward to not stand in line as long for F!. Great score for dinner.

Just curious - Why don't your kids want to go back to Chef Mickey's? It's my first trip in Aug and my kids are now requesting it, but I can't get an adr at a time that works for us. Should I not even bother to keep trying for a cancellation?

Like everyone else, 7DMT. We have a quick weekend coming May 31-June 3 and I am hoping to be able to catch it then. I wouldn't mind seeing Anna and Else but with 2 boys and waits like the have, I can skip them. It isn't worth the fastpass to them. Otherwise, we've been lucky to have done everything else.

It's in theme park attractions and stratagies and it is titled, "How Bad is August". It should come up if you do a search.

This is my 10th August trip in 14 years. I don't have a lot of availability snce DH and I are both teachers, but August is very doable. Except for parades, you aren't outside too long. Disney has a way of keeping ride queues cool and shaded. We get out early and stay hydrated. I'd rather be in the heat at Disney than here in PA...not too much of a difference.

My answers will be very different than the other Team August members, as we're not doing the Disney parks, but I am still excited about a few new things :) , specifically:

- Ihu's Breakaway Falls at Aquatica (okay, I technically won't try this :scared1: but my guys are pumped for the new thrill!)

- Antarctica at SeaWorld

- Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld (how we have missed this on all of our prior visits, I have no idea!)

- Lake Eola Park (yeah....I admit it....I want to ride the swan boats  ... does that make me weird?)

- The raft ride at Typhoon Lagoon (I think this one is within my comfort zone!)

and....

- Daytona Beach! :beach:

We went 2 years ago, so maybe it is better now. The characters did not all come to our table, the food was not even hot and the kids did not like the pizza. On top of that, the soft serve ice cream machine was not working, and the kids did not like the other very lack luster desserts that were offered. It certainly did not wow us. What they did like was Boma for dinner. Maybe others have liked it, and you do normally get quite a few characters and a picture with Mickey in his chef outfit. I guess what I am saying is, if it works for you, maybe try it, but I would not be too sad if it did not work out. As always, YMMV. I am still trying for BOG. Not available every day of our 10 days in WDW. I periodically will keep checking, as that may be one place we would enjoy.

Hope you have a great vacation!

Have any of you guys checked out the "how bad is August" thread??? It's kinda making me nervous!

I read a thread like that the first year we did August. It worried us. We had a blast though and now August is the only time we go. The heat isn't too bad when you learn how to manage it. Lots of water, those frog tog cloths and a lot of air conditioned (shopping) pit stops lol. The crowds are the best in August!

Yes! RnRC, 7DMT, and Carousel of progress are our new ones this time. Though dh won't do RnRC but oldest dd says she won't chicken out this time lol.

Thanks very much for the feedback! We have a Tusker House adr already so I'm not going to try for CM on top of that if the food isn't great. Boma sounds interesting!

Have a great vacation, too.

Tip for anyone doing chef mickeys for dinner -- if you make it for the opening time (5:00 i believe), you have a chance of being picked to be family of the day! Omg, my kids were thrilled. It was their most favorite thing EVER, they felt like stars. And it was day 1 of our trip too last april, so a great start to our trip. Super, super fun.

As more responses to this come along, my list is definitely growing!

I agree we always go to disney in august and it's the best! It's hot but the crowds are low so it's worth it!

7DMT is a must for me! I'm so excited! I also want to do TT since I've never actually been on it - Dh and the big girls went last trip, but I was too PG. And watching the new Festival of Fantasy Parade is a must as well. :)

This happened for us once too and it was incredible! A really fantastic memory! I heard that 1900PF has a family of the day too but never experienced that one!
