I promise to update everything this weekend. I know I am a little behind but I have been preoccupied. We put an offer on a house last weekend which was accepted, so we have been quite busy. Home inspection was today which went really well. I am really excited, but nervous at the same time. Anyway, I will update the lists this weekend everyone. :goodvibes

Good luck with the house. Hope everything goes smoothly for you! pixiedust:

That's great news! I've been excited for all you for getting your ADRs! I've been trying to get in the moment and decide which ones I would want, though, and other that Via Napoli just can't decide; for places and/or times. And I think I've figured out why. I like to have a general plan for each day, but I do like to kind of wing it. I like to be somewhat flexible. What if I'm not very hungry? What if I want to leave the park earlier or later? And both kids are so picky and only like the "basics." So it's hard to justify the extra cost for them when they just want to get mac n cheese or chicken. I just can't get myself to commit... I do really want to see BOG, but I'm not thrilled with the food choices so I think we'll get a FP+ for lunch and get desserts to share :) I've been flirting with the idea of a Boma dinner, but it sounds loud and expensive. I'm not sure I can justify it. I don't know. I still have time to think about it. Has anyone else gone to either; what do you think?

We've had BOG dinner last trip and really weren't wowed with the selections. We may try the lunch menu this time. The castle is beautiful.

We've had Boma and I would definitely say its worth the money. Selection is fantastic and all the food was wonderful. We didn't find it any louder than most restaurants though it is open from above to the lobby. I love AKL and would always want to go back there but I keep getting trumped by hubby who wants to try everything else first lol.

Have stayed at POR 4 times, it will be tight but, you just sleep there. You may want to bring an inflatable twin mattress to put between the two beds. They use to have a trundle bed you could do that with, but I guess no more. Only hard thing about putting a mattress between the beds is remembering not to step on the person.:lmao: This is usually where my DH slept (of his own accord) and the kids would step on his head sometimes. Not to big of a deal except when he was dead asleep. :rolleyes1

What helped us in tight quarters, over the door shoe organizer and having our park clothes all packaged up for each child. The first trip at POR I did not do this because I thought it was over the top. However, when I was running around like a chicken with her head cut off looking for underwear and hair elastics I had wished I had done it. Every trip after that I was more organized and I have to say it is an awesome feeling waking up for rope drop and just throwing a plastic bag at each child and then walking away with a satisfied smile to drink my coffee outside. ;) Now that the kids are older, I do not package their clothes, but do have matching shirts and that simplifies things too. I just take out the pile of shirts for that day and they are on their own. They are now well trained and get the importance of being belly up in front of the crowd at RD:thumbsup2

Not sure if this helps, but hope it does. Nurse Mommy of 4 (Tasha) is also a veteran of POR with a large crew so hopefully she will pipe in her tips.

POR is gorgeous! The food court is divine and this web site has a lot of good info:
http://www.portorleans.org/

Thanks for the tips! :) Luckily our children are small and we can put 3 to a bed, or one with DH and 2 on the pull down cot. Baby and I get our own bed :cool1:

If an air mattress was needed we'd have a rough week. None of the kids will sleep on one, and Dh would be so sore and grumpy, none of us would enjoy ourselves b/c of it.

Last trip we stayed in a bunk bed room at AKL - 1 kid on the top bunk, Dh and the other 2 on the lower bunk and pregnant me in the big bed on my own. Sometimes our, then, youngest would join me.

It's floor space I'm concerned about, we have a giant buggy and lots of bodies to maneuver around :rotfl2: some of your tips will make a difference I'm sure!

I'm late to the party but we're going in August too.

It will be just me and DH this time going kidless for our 10th anniversary. Well to be 100% honest our anniversary isn't until September but since there was no one that could take the kids for a week during the school year without our DS missing school (all friends and family live out of our school district) we decided to just take the trip a little early. We went to WDW for our honeymoon but stayed off site and were clueless so we ended up having a 45 minute drive from our hotel to the parks.

Aug 23rd - 30th
Staying at CR BLV My first time staying onsite and I'm super excited!

We have the deluxe dining plan and other than 1 breakfast at Crystal Palace on our last trip in 2012 I've never ate at a table service restaurant on property so I'm looking forward to not having to waste time leaving the park every day to eat. Our 180 window opens Monday and I work 3rd shift so I know what I'll be doing right after I get home.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

I'm so excited for you! What ADRs are you planning? We love taking the kids, but adults only would be a dream!!

So excited....this week I came across good airfare so a booked a Mommy and boys weekend for DS9s 10th birthday! It's a surprise for now and I am not sure when I will tell them. It is also Star Wars weekend when we're there, so I am trying to plan with that. We aren't big fans, but I think it would be fun to see. We are going May 31-June 3 (his birthday is June 1). I knew these annual passes would be trouble, but I know it's our only chance to be able to go for his birthday. I am also excited that it's the last time he can eat as a kid on the meal plan. He is a good eater so I booked 2 buffets so he has better choices. Not bad for $20 a day:) 98 days til Disney...and 168:)

We've taken 2 trips with kids, the first in 2008 with our son who was 2 at the time and then again in 2012 when our son was almost 6 and our girls were 2.
We love taking the kids but we had always planned on going back as sort of a do over honeymoon for our 10 year anniversary and I'm just excited that it worked out so that we could still go.

We're still working on our ADR's but since I'm a big kid at heart and my DH isn't a very adventurous eater we'll probably do a few of the character buffets. I know that DH really wants to go to Sci-fi, 50's cafe, and San Angel inn so I have to work those in somehow.
Our plan for tonight after the kids are in bed is to finish figuring out all our ADR's

How fun, I'm jealous of 2 trips in less than a year of course before this trip ours had all been 4 years apart.:(

Slam Dunk on getting DH to agree on upgrading BB QS FD :) With this being trip 2 for us after having only QS on the first I'm super excited!! I will be hoping for...CP, Trails End, Hoop DeeDoo, MM F!pkg with 2 undetermined. The smells of Y&Y were fabulous last visit so thinking maybe yet TH bfast is also tugging?! My 2xDS are 17&13 any suggestions are welcome. I definitely would like to have all bases covered before 6 in the morning ;) TIA

I had so many issues with MDE trying to book dining, so I called at 7 and got almost everything I wanted. The only one we didn't get was BOG. It isn't too big a deal. We ate there last year. The 4 of us really enjoyed it. We were hoping to do it again this year with grandma and grandpa. I guess I'll just have to keep stalking like I did last year. If not we'll go somewhere else. Here are the rest of my ressies 21 Rose and Crown 6:45
22 Hoop Dee Doo 6:15
23 Boma 6:20
24 nothing yet
25 50s Prime Time Cafe 1:10
26 Tokyo Dining 7:00
27 Chefs de France 6:00
28 ohana 9:30
Wishes Dessert Party 9:00

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary too! Neither of us can bear the thought of going without our 7yo daughter so she is coming! I'm sure you will have an awesome time just the two of you. Congratulations!

You can always try to book the fastpass lunch if they continue to offer it. The lunch menu is great and bypassing the line is fabulous!

Hi We are going in August as well (first time going in the summer since I was little). I had my TA who is an acquaintance make my ADR's and I may go in and change! I love all the places, I'm just not sure of the days and times. I'm worried the way they currently are, we won't be able to go back and forth to the room if we need to cool down.

Currently we have:

8/17-Chef Mickey's-6:40 (Our arrival day I think it may be too late, was hoping to go to Downtown Disney)
8/18-Mama Melrose Fantasmic package-3:45 (wishing this was later)
8/19-CRT-5:20
8/20-LTT-6:30
8/21-Akershus-10:30 breakfast, Teppan Edo-5:00
8/22-Whispering Canyon- 5:00
8/23-BOG-4:45 (might try for a fast pass for lunch instead)

I stress dinner reservations! I'm afraid we won't make them on time, I'm very Type A! My hope for the trip was to do QS for dinner a few nights so I wouldn't be so stressed for dinner and here I have reservations somewhere every night! Well at least I have 6 months to work it all out!

I don't really like the stress of adrs either. Don't like feeling "confined" :) but with fp+, I'm gonna be that way anyway!
