I am going to leave QOTD duties to another one of you creative folk on this Tuesday afternoon. Got the start of some bad news about my dear 15-year-old kitty today (with more, I'm sure, to come tomorrow) so I'm not feeling particularly innovative . Feel free to jump in if you have a question you've been anxious to toss out!

Sorry about your kitty... QOTD...2 parts....How many visits to the World have you made? How often do you visit?

1981 - My first visit with my family and I was 5. My mom, dad, older brother, and younger sister drove from North Texas to WDW in an orange, 2 door Datsun. They told us we were going to just look at it from the parking lot. As we walked to the ticket booth, to the fairy, and even up to the MK gates the three of us were crying things like " but we don't want to just look at it from the parking lot. We want to go to Disney World."

3/1994 - on Spring Break with my high school band for Magic Music days. I met my husband in line for the Skyway.

7/2000 - with my DH for our 5th wedding anniversary.

3/2004 - 1st trip with our DSs. We stayed at the CBR.

10/2006 - 2nd trip with the DSs, stayed at the WL, and 1st MNSSHP.

6/2012 - 3rd trip with the DSs, stayed at the Pop Century, 1st time driving.

9/2013 - 4th trip with the DSs, 2nd time driving, stayed at the AKL (pixie dust upgrade to a Savanna view), MNSSHP on Friday the 13th.

Gina, I'm late to this, but I am so, so sorry about your kitty. I'm an animal person for sure (I am on our local Humane Society auxiliary, and I'm always bringing home strays). I tend to take in older/disabled pets, so I'm in your position (too) often. It never gets easier. Thanks for giving kitty years of love and care. <3

Monday's QOTD: Are you "splurging" on anything on your vacation? Something like.... A cabana at one of the waterparks? A meal at a signature restaurant? The dessert party? One of the specialty cruises? Club level and/or a higher level resort? A rental vehicle? A day offsite at another theme park? Or.....something else?

We are getting the Deluxe Dining Plan for this trip. The kids are looking forward to lots of character meals.

Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts. Unfortunately, the news was not favourable from the vet today. The blood tests have confirmed she is in kidney failure. Whether she has weeks or months or ??? is anyone's guess.

From here, we will just love her to pieces and give her the best end of life we can. The vet has offered some palliative measures to help alleviate any discomfort she is feeling but her age is definitely against her.

So sad today, I just want to go home and cry (I have been doing my share of that since the vet called my office). Wish I didn't have to be at work until 4.

She is beautiful and I'm so sorry for your sad news {{{{{hugs}}}}}. Our cats are our family and I remember how terrible it was when our Sasha passed even though it was five years ago xXx

I have three dogs, two cats, and four horses. I had five horses, but I gave one to a lovely teenaged girl at the barn this Christmas. All the dogs and cats and two of the horses are rescues. I have no idea how to put pictures on here, though.

No right now our family does not have a pet. My fur baby passed on in 2006 and we'll finally be looking at adopting a new puppy and kitty after our August trip.

Gina, been thinking about ya all day. Sending you support as you go through this...

My family has a 5 yr mix puppy. We got her from the humane society when she was 2 months. Lucy's about 40 pounds and probably has whippet and border collie. She's the sweetest thing; she (almost) has a hidden Mickey on her back.

I had a couple dogs and three cats as I was growing up. Before we got Lucy, our 8 month old puppy broke her back and we had to put her down. At the time I did effects work on movies. We were working on Marley & Me and I kept bursting into tears.

Gina-

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. When a family pet becomes ill, it's just like anyone else in your family. We lost my cat from childhood a few years back after 18 wonderful years and it was horrible. Sending positive thoughts your way.
