Well, since I could not resist the first Halloween party, changed my flight and rental for 2 more nights. Since airfare was over $100 less to leave on Tuesday and not Sunday, and the travel agent deal was still during that time, we are all set. So ready to buy the party tickets! It will be the last night we are at Disney, and since we are only doing MK that day, we are moving to the WL for the last 2 nights. :cool1:

Good deal! Totally worth it to go to the Halloween party! Have fun!

We woke up to snow this morning, too! Luckily by noon it was all melted :goodvibes We'll be doing the 1st party our last night also, but I think we'll probably just chill at the pool all day beforehand. Now, if I could just get DH to decide where he wants to stay!!

A good coat of snow for us yesterday morning too. and I just got my snow tires off today. Hope I didn't get them off too early. :lmao:

Yay! So awesome!!! :cheer2: Nothing better than a longer vacation.....except a longer vacation with MNSSHP! :)

We are FINALLY starting to see some signs of spring. Yesterday was horribly cold, but we have rebounded somewhat today. I have tulips and daffodils up in my garden (not near flowering yet, but they are coming!) and even some hostas peeking through. Come on, summer! :beach:

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but it looks like there is a handful of BOG ADRs available for Friday August 29th. Most likely due to the hours being extended to 11PM is my guess. I grabbed a 6:05 ADR for 2 :thumbsup2

Blah it's snowing here yet again! Man I can't wait for August!! This weather sucks lol.

Happy Easter everyone!

120 days til Vacation!!!

I just grabbed one of the extra BOG ADRs too for 8/29 @6:50. There were a lot of choices. Yay!

Hey there everyone! We're heading to WDW this August, too!!!, Never been that time of year before.... We generally go late fall . So for anyone who has gone in August before... Bug spray? Yes or no? If so, does anyone recommend one brand in particular? Never really had a need for bug spray before. Thanks! Look forward to seeing some LGMHs in August!

We go every August and we have never had a bug issue. The humidity will be your biggest issue. Lots of free ice water, early mornings and mid day breaks helps with that. We also like the Frogg Togg Chlilly Pad to keep the kids comfy.

I have been absent for so long! So much going on. We just spent the week in the Carolina's and the weather was fairly nice- hard to go back to the real world because now I'm really ready for Disney! My daughter ha turned into a full fledge princess this winter and I'm having regrets that I did not book CRT- Minnie is still her favorite though and I think she will be thrilled to meet the princesses at the princess hall. I'm also sad it will be too hot for her to wear a princess dress!

Welcome back! My DD loves princesses too. Right now, it's all Elsa all the time. We booked CRT way back and I'm glad I did because I was second guessing myself around Christmas. Now I am definitely glad I stuck with it. I told her it would be hot wearing her dress and she said, she doesn't care. Lol. We will see when she actually gets there though.

Driving from Montreal, QC to FL in July for a two weeks stay at the beach at St. Pete and before driving back north (a 24h drive) we are stopping to WDW for a 3 nights stay in a LM room at AoA Aug 3-6 and visiting MK with our two princesses on Aug 5.

We have a pre-opening ADR at CRT (8:05am) and I'll probably bring the Cinderella dresses for the photo op with Cinderella before our breakfast and store it in the stroller after until our break back at the resort.

So far I got everything I wanted in terms of ADRs which really surprised me because I had read how difficult it is to book CRT pre-park opening, BOG dinner (which I later canceled) and the dessert party 2 weeks ago. I just hope my luck will continue so I can get FP+ for A&E on Aug 5.

For everyone....

Don't forget to add your ADRs and park days so I can add them to our list on page 118. Mousemommy1 posted a link on page 1 for anyone looking for the lists.

Thanks! That helps! It's just me and DH, we don't have children. But what's the Frogg Togg Chilly Pad??? Is it something adults can use? We both have extremely high metabolisms and run a little hot... Could this help us?

I was going to ask the same thing :)

So fellow Canadians: Which device do you use and who is your service provider? Has anyone bought a SIM card from a US provider, where did you purchase?

I have an iPhone 5s with Virgin and I will add a text plan for the 3 weeks we'll be in FL to communicate easily with hubby who has free roaming with is cell phone from work ( he needs to keep it with him). I was told it is 20$ for 1000 text messages.

For data, we'll get a roaming plan for our iPad that has cellular with Bell. Another 20$ for 100mb. Not cheap but with free wifi in many places I don't think we need more.

Aug 3-6: AoA in a LM room

ADRs and parks: we are paying OOP

Aug 3: day at DTD and Trail's End buffet at 5:20pm for dinner followed by campfire (might change for TRex and movie at resort)
Aug 4: pool day at the resort and early sleep time
8:20am at 1900 PF (not sure we'll keep it) and 5:20pm at Beaches and Cream
Aug 5: MK day
8:05am at CRT
Noon at The Plaza (will cancel if I can get FP+ for BOG)
4:55pm at CP (might cancel because expensive)
9:05pm dessert party TTFDP

Aug 6: departure day so late breakfast at Kona Cafe at 11am before driving 8-10 hours

My ADR are often changing. In the past I had a BOG dinner instead of CP, a CM breakfast instead of Kona and an Ohana dinner instead of Beaches and Cream but I canceled even though they are the must do for many.

yes please, can you explain a little more about the Frogg Toggs?

Frogg Toggs Chilly pads are made of a material that cools when you moisten it and wring it out. It is pretty neat how it works! It is good for all ages. We got ours on Amazon but I found them in our Lowe's store last year as well. THe size we have is pretty large and can probably be cut in half lengthwise. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for the explanation - I will look into ordering some :)
