We just booked Aug 2 - 5 and I went online at midnight and got my fast pass plus reservations all lined up! I'm so excited!

I never got the invite and we booked our bog fastpass. It worked perfectly for us yesterday. Remember to take a screen shot. It will not show up in MDE.

Had a small panic attack today when My phone rang and a FL number came up! Sure enough, it was Disney! Apparently, the Preferred room we booked at CSR was no longer available as all the preferred rooms are going into rehab in August! The CM, Steve, that I spoke with was SO nice though. I explained that the location of the room wasn't nearly as important to us as the king bed (DH is 6'3 and likes to spread out!). He found us a Water View/King room and got us all set! The new room would have been more expensive but Disney absorbed the cost. Yay! This is why I like going to Disney so much, it's just so painless!

It's so nice when they can fix things so easily! I'm paranoid about our king bed too (my husband is 6'6" and likes to sleep sideways...grrrr) We asked for 2 connecting preferred rooms with king beds, and I just have a fear that our TA missed something. And I learned that if you make a reservation through them, you can't call Disney directly to check. Sooo i guess I wait it out and see what happens when we show up!!

Today I'm at day 60 and I made our FP+ for the only day we will be at a Disney park this year, MK on Aug 5. I am over the moon as I got everything I wanted. I just need a BOG lunch FP+ and my trip will be perfection!

9:30am FP+ for 7DMT (hubby only --- will rider swap for me and DD4.5)
10:30am FP+ for A&E (all of us)
11:30am FP+ for ETWB (all of us)
2:45pm FP+ for FoF parade (me and DD4.5 while DH and DD2 will be at resort for nap)

With my early (8:05am) CRT ADR and TTFDP that night I think we will have the most magical day! Weather better not ruin it!!!

Coming up on my 60 days out (June 13)...so I can book FP+ at midnight the end of June 12th and then go to bed???? I have a split stay, so I wonder if it will let me book for all 5 nights or just the first 3 and then I will have to wait 3 more days to book the last 2 days????

You should be able to book all 5 days as long as you have enough days on your tickets.

Just had to share that I had to cancel one of my days of FP to accommodate some friends now joining us on our trip. This turned out to be a great thing for me as when I switched the days and was picking new FP for MK, I was able to get an A&E FP for my DD10 and son's GF18. For the past 2 weeks, nothing had been available for A&E and I had told my DD10 to not even think we would waste hrs in line. Just wanted to share that you might want to recheck your FP availability.

I can book my FP+ on June 29. I am playing with possible combinations now. I am excited to get to book them early because we won't get to MK until afternoon on Friday. Hopefully because of FP+, we'll. be able ride at least 3 headliners! We are also planning two hopping days on Saturday and Sunday, so I think I may book my first 3 in am and hope for more at EP, where we will spend both evenings. I'm just hoping we can get Soarin' even though I won't be able to pre book it!

Originially this was just going to be a non-park, relaxing by the pool and resort hopping vacation with me and my girls, but then my father offered to buy us tickets, so now I'm eyeball deep in planning mode!!!
I get to book my FP+ selections tomorrow - Actually midnight tonight if you want to get technical - and though I'm bummed to find out about this new tier 1 tier 2 crap (didn't have that back in Nov when we went last) I'm sure getting to every park at RD we will be fine, and be able to get on everything we want.

So my real question is - How hot/humid/manic thunderstorm-ie will it by in August? I've never be in the dead summer, so I'm very nervous about it. Any thoughts and suggestions appreciated! Looking forward to planning with all of you!!!!

We've been in July and September and did Vero Beach and US in August once...and it will storm a lot but usually is quick early evening storms. It kind of clears the parks a bit. So, your plan to do RD will be good. We will do similar and then back to resort for a bit (hopefully during storms) and then will hit parks again in evening for dinner and sometimes FP+.

August FP for BOG will not be realeased yet. I have a trip in June/July with a spilt stay and then returning in August. The dates were just released for June 29 thru the beginning of July last week. I received an email invite for both of my June/July reservations at 28 days out. When I received the invite for the 1st the dates were not open yet. Just keep watching but I don't think you will see August BOG until mid-late July.

Last year I successfully booked BOG lunch with the email invitation and without it. Both times we used our magical express number to book it. This year we are driving. Will we be able to book with a package number or room only confirmation number?

At Christmas I made my lunch rss for BoG with my room reservation so you should be good
