:scared1::scared1:

I'm obsessing along with you! I've been checking the National Hurricane Center website daily. I'm trying to convince myself that a rainy day at Disney is better then a day at work anytime! It is...but I'd love a day or two to sit by the pool. :worship:

The weather will be what it will be guys, there is no sense in stressing out. There are threads all over the Dis in every forum where people are flipping out about the possibility of heavy rain every day. There isn't a darn tootin thing you can do about it, so relax.

After reading through the boards this morning I'm looking forward to lower crowds at every park due to so many people sitting in their rooms and crying about the rain, lmao!

You are making some assumptions here, and in your other posts about how I and many others feel about the weather.. so let me clear a few things up for you.

I am not "flipping out". I am well aware having traveled this time of year for many years what the weather entails. I won't be "crying in my room", and will happily slosh around in the rain.

However, I don't like having to worry about the possibility of any interruption or delays on my flights. I watch closely because I have had to reschedule flights twice for snowstorms headed our way at the last minute. It's saved me thousands in the long run.

Also the only crying I have seen is the people who were desperately trying to figure out what to do while they were stuck in Disney for Irene and their homes were flooded or worse and they couldn't get back. It left a strong impression about being prepared, and this was just on our trip last summer.

I travel with the appropriate insurance, I plan for all possibilities, so I make sure to keep tabs on things that could affect our plans.

I don't think I will die, I am not over reacting, I don't plan on sitting in my room and moping, but I will watch and be prepared to change plans if I need to.

ETA) I realize by joking around in this thread I may have given a different impression but my only concern at this point is the 3 potential hurricanes shaping up right now.

Agree Pigletto,
I definately will NOT be moping around my room. We will be slosing around also in our bright yellow ponchos. May be wet but we sure as heck will still be enjoying ourselves! That last one did sound a bit more positive so going with that one. Other than the rain on our first day as well which of course is when we are going to BBB for a makeover and knight package.

I am sorry if I gave the wrong impression with my weather links.....while I joked about us obsessing about the weather, it was really meant in a "tongue in cheek" kind of way.

I'm not stressing too much about the rain, but I don't think it's unusual to at least put it out there that I'm hoping for decent weather on our trip! I planned for hot, I planned for rain, I planned for sunny days. I'm just hoping that we get to use our sunscreen more than our ponchos :goodvibes

Actually forecast 3 is the only one that looks terrible!! But accuweather.com is always doom and gloom this far out! I think the only problem we might h e next week is where that possible hurricane might go! Fingers crossed it goes far far away!

Lol great way to look at it!! Packing the ponchos to hit the parks everyday rain or shine! Just wish I could stop watching the darn weather!!

We had rain 11/13 days. It didn't stop us from having a blast. It doesn't last all day and it doesn't come out of nowhere either. You will see the clouds roll in, the wind pick up, the temperature drop, and usually hear some thunder beforehand.

 doing the 1 day dance....Our neighbors and 2 other families just arrived and another family arrives Wed so that makes 21 total. Most of us trying a new resort too.BWV

1 more night......

Wow that is a big group!! Have a blast and check in if you can:goodvibes

I'm doing the "leaving this week dance" !!!! We leave on Thursday!!!!! Yay! We are trying a new resort and a few new restaurants so it should be exciting! Too bad my mother in law invited herself along lol! I'm still gonna have fun I'm still gonna have fun I'm still gonna have fun! If I say it enough maybe it will come true right?!? Lol

You WILL have fun, you WILL have fun!!!

Just let it all roll off your back and you'll be just fine - practice your "Zen" look.

Sitting here at work, watching the minutes tick by. I have 3 more days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) then I'm off until September 4th :cool1: .

We don't leave until Saturday morning but I know it will come quickly once work is done. DH's last day at work is Thursday, and my DS works until Friday at 5, so I'm the first one to wrap things up.

Haven't started the packing yet.....so I know what I will be doing each evening this week. I think I will spend my free time here at the office reviewing my travel binder to be sure everything is tickety-boo :) .

My concentration is completely shot. Thank goodness I work for wonderful, understanding bosses. Must remember to tell them how much I appreciate them!!

Hahahaha - trying very very hard not to lose concentration. Since last week, I've been coming a half hour early and staying a half hour to 1 hr late just to make sure I get all my loose ends tied up before I go. Wednesday is my last day!!!!

I understood y'all :thumbsup2 Honestly, watching the weather has been one more ritual I have come to do. Check for some open dinner times, check the weather, go over packing lists, etc...It's become just part of the trip. I do not believe I'm stressing, flipping out or anything. I do believe its important to have an idea of the weather so I know how many extra pairs of socks and shoes to pack and how many ponchos to pack seeing as I am going to practically shrink wrap my ECV so I don't have to miss out on anything! :rotfl: :lmao:

Can't wait to book that bounceback, how many of us are going to be doing that? We should start the Official August 2013 thread, it would function as our PD (Post-Disney) support group and a planning group!
