****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

On and I should share my latest craft... I made pillows for our red eye flights.
pillows.jpg

The beige one is lines from Alice in Wonderland and the bubbles one has a few hidden Mickeys in it. Nothing special about the scribbles but I thought it went well with the sketches at AoA where we are staying.

Those look great. You should be selling those on etsy for some extra spending money.

Good Morning Team August!

How about a QOTD? Not sure if we've talked about this one but who cares we love to talk Disney!:cool1:

Does your family have an arrival day tradition?

We usually fly in mid-morning, get settled, swim, and then hop on the boat to DTD for an early dinner. I like to get to bed early and hit the parks the next morning!:thumbsup2

Nothing to see here. just testing the app for the forum with my phone. On the train to work. i'm the DH to DisneyMomFanatic.

We always stay outside of the park the first day swim and do DTD with dinner at Rainforest Cafe. In bed early so we can check in before 8am and hit the park of the day. This year thinking about doing Ragland Road or going to check out AoA.

We normally check in, then head to MK. We have been lucky that each time we have gone, MK had low crowds levels.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Time is ticking! I'm starting to think about packing! Has anyone been watching the weather trend????
First day we always go to O'Hana's for dinner and head to Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks :wizard: It really gets us in the Disney mood!

I've been watching the National Hurricane Center. We don't leave for 2 weeks so it's pointless and really.. I don't recommend it or you get obsessed about storms in the middle of the Ocean that turn into nothing:rolleyes1

Arrival Day traditions: It used to be we would always go to Wolfgang Puck Express for dinner, sit on the patio and then wander around DTD for the evening. The past few trips though we go to Universal first so our arrival day we'll be straight to bed, and then up early for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter:cool1:

What a day! My friends whose son is in the hospital, needed someone to take her to run her errands. So I did that. Her son is still in ICU and they really can't figure things out.

Well my kids were at another neighbors house playing then I get the phone call to come right away. DD had fallen and blood is pouring out of her mouth. Take her to a pediatric urgent care, the Dr found a gash above her front teeth. This doctors husband is a dentist, so she called him to come look at it. Well he ended up having to put 4 stitches in her mouth.

When he was having to numb her mouth, she screamed. I so wanted to tell her right then about the Disney trip in 2 weeks to make her feel better, but I didn't.

In all the things going on, I almost forgot about taking care of my neighbor's 14 year old dog. They had to go out of town because the grandma has leukemia.

When it rains it pours.

I am so thankful overall we are blessed and that I have great friends on the Dis that share my Disney obsession.

We are like family here, as someone else said!!! I'm glad it was only a matter of putting stitches in DD's mouth. She'll feel wonderful going to Disney!!! You are a wonderful person for dog sitting. My coworker Jane is dog sitting for us during Disney.

I am the black sheep in the family that just isn't right and makes many wrong decisions that the rest of them just can't understand :headache:but have to love anyway because I have an infectuous personality and make everyone laugh (oh and because we're family and you have to love me!!! ):lmao: :rotfl2:

Yes, we are family, and yes, we have to love you.....ok, fine, we would anyways!!!

It is mine too! Happy early birthday and enjoy the concert! I am only going out to dinner but still happy to get to celebrate!:cheer2:

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Sooooooo.......as some of you might know, my hubby works about one hour away from home and is trying to find a job closer to where we live. He's been with his company now for over 20 years, but he just doesn't want to be on the road for 2 hours when he could be home with us....(Awe....so sweet!)

He received a letter from the State saying that they would like to interview him for a position which would be located in the next town (15 minute drive versus 1 hour). This is sounding great, huh? Well the interview is scheduled for FRIDAY, AUGUST 17TH AT 7AM!!!! :scared1: Um, hello??? We have to be leaving the house for the airport in Manchester, NH by 8am for a 12:15pm flight! As long as his interview doesn't go past 8am, we should be ok as long as I have EVERYTHING packed, the car gassed up and our map out. (Yes, we are map people and not GPS). Drinks/snacks will be in the little cooler and ready to go.

I'm totally excited for this interview for him, but I am soooooooooooooo nervous we won't make the flight. Everything will have to be perfect with no major highway tie ups or construction. Wish us luck! :woohoo:

Good Morning Everyone :goodvibes....We have 19 Days to go, which is going to go by so slowly :sad2:. Today after work, we will be going shoe shopping for DH and I. I think it is about time for me to get off my butt (and computer) and start doing things around here to get ready. Being in the teens is finally motivating me....sad I know.

Good Morning Team August!

We really don't have a tradition so to speak because we are always doing something different on our arrival day. For this trip coming up we have a morning flight out of Chicago and will be landing in MCO by 12:30ish (barring any set backs). I am hoping that we will be at the Poly by 2pm or there abouts. We are doing online check-in so hopefully we will get our room keys and packet fairly quickly. Now, if our room is ready we will head there to drop everything off and possibly unpack (only spending 3 nights at the Poly before moving over to BLT for the longer part of our stay). If not, then we will take our carry-ons to Bell Services to hold while we go have lunch at Kona Cafe and then it is off to Epcot for some fun, shopping in WS, and doing some Agent P Missions :goodvibes.

Very exciting, and I will keep my fingers crossed that the interview goes very well & quick!

QOTD: We don't have an arrival day tradition. In fact, I think we have done something completely different each time we have arrived! This time it will be a relaxing day: pool, DTD for dinner, then early bedtime. Last time we flew, checked in, and went right to Epcot.

I am leaving in 12 DAYS!!!!!! Yay!!

4 more sleeps!

I came up with a good idea this morning that I figured I'd share with the board..

Gonna charge up my old iPhone 3G, and download some games and music, and the new Disney tour guide app on there. Since there is WiFi at WDW parks, I'll be able to use that without having to drain my cell phone battery. My son and I open and close down the parks, so the extra battery will help!

Certainly not huge news, but a good idea for those who have an old Phone or iTouch laying around.
