****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Is anyone else getting breakfast items for in the room? We usually do as it saves time and doesn't use up our credits.
Normally we are in a DVC studio. This time we have a full kitchen in the cabins. I am trying to make a list but I don't want to get too much or we'll end up wasting half of it I'm sure. I'm thinking breakfast sandwiches, juice and water, snacks, pancake mix?? Just simple stuff. We'll be stopping on the way to Disney from Universal to get some grocery items.
I'm bringing breakfast items. We can have one CS breakfast meal in our plan but that's it. Since we are staying in a standard room not a villa I am bringing items I don't have to prepare. I plan to bring poptarts (awful i know but i dont buy them at home anymore but told DH we could take them on the trip and he hasn't forgotton...lol) and some healthier breakfast bars then some goldfish to take into the park oh and LOTS of water. I am debating on what else to bring but I think that's it. Normally I'd bring diet coke but I plan on using that refillable mug each morning! I hope my room isn't too far from where the fountain drinks are. I wonder if its a reasonable request to ask for my room to be near the fountain diet coke. :cutie: :rotfl2:

I am right there with you on that request. If they could hook Diet Coke up to an IV and give it to me that way, I'd be set!!! :rotfl:

Last trip I ordered Pop Tarts too. It turns out ds didn't like them, and dd can't have them because she's a vegetarian and they all have gelatin in them:confused3
Who would of thought I'd finally allow them pop tarts for breakfast and nobody would touch them:rotfl:

Yes we definitely will be bringing breaksfast items for the room. My kids don't really care for the food court breakfast and I would prefer to save the CS credits for meals in the parks or DTD.

The biggest plus for me though is the fact that they can eat while getting ready in the morning instead of having to stop as soon as we enter the park.:rolleyes1

BTW, I think your very smart to go offsite while at Universal, that is a big money saver. :thumbsup2

Thanks!
We have two vegetarians in our party.. so Sweet Tomatoes looks absolutely wonderful for them!!
DD never ever complains but it's sometimes hard to feed her on vacation because at some places there is literally one thing on the menu she can eat.
And the fact that it's cheaper too? BONUS:cool1:

It's funny you should say this because that is my kids #1 request.....:rolleyes1:banana:

I am going to have snacks and some breakfast foods. However, the more I think about it, the more I think we should use CS credits for breakfast, have a snack or a PB&J sandwich at the hotel, and then our big dinner. My kids loooooove going out to breakfast and always clean their plates. Lunch, not so much, and I want them to be hungry at dinner so that they eat the massive amount of food that Disney gives you! haha!

Kind of thinking out loud here. Don't mind me! ;) I am also bringing two cases of water! And I am a full sugar regular coke addict (I know, I shouldn't admit that). I paid for a preferred room at POR so at least I know it's not TOO long of a walk to the fountains! :)

Oh yeah.....Disney fever has struck HARD!!!!

We will be at the resort room hopefully by 5pm, and then heading right over to DTD for our ressies!!! :worship:

:rotfl: I'm right there with ya! I actually got OFF Diet Coke during my last IVF cycle, but when it was over I started with just 1 can a day now I'm up to 2 cans a day and I know I will be living off of it on vacation!

Just think.....it could have been Diet Coke!!!! :lmao:
:lmao: Sticky! I've done that before! :rotfl2:

Yeah i'm thinking 2 cases of water too. I drink 3 bottles a day now as it is and I'm sure we'll need more than that. So a minimum of 6 a day for 5 days is 30 and a case is only 24. So 2 cases will definitely be needed. I get my water at Aldi. It's much cheaper and tastes just as good. :)

I love the hats. What a fun looking group of women!!!

I went almost 5 years without any type of soda, but last year at Disney (with the refillable mugs) I couldn't help myself. Since then I been trying to keep the Diet Coke to a minimum.

We just got back from our local theme park, Sesame Place. It was a good trial run for next week...using the stroller, what to pack in a park bag, which wallet to bring, etc. We are also not going to a water park, so we got that out of our system too! 5 more sleeps!

Those look great. You should be selling those on etsy for some extra spending money.

Thanks (to everyone who commented on the pillows)! I really don't think they'd sell for a cost that would cover the amount of materials and time I'd put into them. Also they aren't even close to perfect - the closing seams are very crudely stitched. I enjoy making them for myself and friends but I don't really want to sell things to picky buyers who probably should just make things themselves or buy them at a store. I only want to make things for people whom I know will appreciate them

We will place an order with Garden Grocer. Most of the items will be for breakfast. Since we have the mugs, I will be just getting bottled water. Some of y'all have to have Diet Coke, but I like regular old Coke. I studied artificial sweeteners and I just don't like the taste.

It is great to have the food in the room, so we can eat while getting ready. The kids don't eat as much for breakfast. I also ordered stuff to make our own trail mix to have as a snack.

I am a bad mom and don't carry around water bottles in the park. I just hate having anything extra to carry. So we buy bottled waters in the park or ask for a cup at the CS places.

Nothing really to see here. just testing my ability to post to the forum from the app. i'm the husband to DisneyMomFanatic.

On and I should share my latest craft... I made pillows for our red eye flights.

The beige one is lines from Alice in Wonderland and the bubbles one has a few hidden Mickeys in it. Nothing special about the scribbles but I thought it went well with the sketches at AoA where we are staying.

Very cool! I love those!
