I have a quick question about on-line reservations: I just doubled checked with my TA and she already put a room request on my reservation. when I do the on-line ressie, do I need to do it again? The reason I'm asking is because the options available for room requests does not include what I'm looking for.

A very good question! I have heard others on the DIS say that once you ck in online it cancels out any original requests you had already made. I dont know who to believe, but I have online ck in coming up soon and I have 3 rooms-and I dont want to screw anything up that Ive already asked for (which is only to be close to eachother, and to be in the Aligator Bayou section at POR)

Last year I put in a request when I booked but I also faxed a request 3 days before we were scheduled to leave. It worked well as I got what I asked for. In my experience, Disney tends to accommodate requests almost always unless it's completely unreasonable or out of their immediate power.

Just don't do it. If you already put in your requests and you have to stand in line anyway when you go to your resort, I don't see the point. Plus, word on the street is that doing online check-in cancels out all your requests. I've never done it and I've always gotten what I've requested and had easy-peasy check-ins.

I ran into the same thing this morning. I double checked with the travel agent and she assures me the requests are on there even though I can't see them. I even called WDW Reservations and "ACE" said that he didn't have access to the TA section. I don't know for sure.

Why don't you think about faxing the room assigner at your hotel? You can do it 10 days before you arrive with your specific request for your stay. It works well for us when we stayed at Pop Century... we got exactly what we asked for.

I heard that the room assigners don't even look at the faxes anymore. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to fax, but I just don't know.

Oh man, don't even talk to me about a license exam. I just had to take my road test for my driver's license due to my "medical condition". Ugh! So annoyed. I passed, but still annoyed! Good luck to you, though!~

Well, I try not to believe everything I hear on these boards you know how it is. Someone says something and all of a sudden its blown out of proportion(for example: If they had to close the Poly pool due to a diaper spill, in 5 mins, you'll see a post that will say "Poly Pool closed indefinitely for the next 3 months!")

BUT, to be safe I will wait to physically check in-that way if theres something screwy Ill be able to work with the front desk to get it fixed if I can. Otherwise, for online check in, they literally just hand you your folder and send you on your way, at least thats what happen to me in May.

I'm at work tomorrow, but then cannot wait to get home - finish packing, fish & chips for dinner (hehe) and then head to DH's parents' house where we'll stay before heading to the airport 7am Thursday!!

We've been planning & counting down to this vacation for 8 months - can't believe it's actually here!!

Got email confirmation today to print out for the YES class! Tomorrow I have to drop off my van for a recall to be fixed. Thursday my youngest has a cleaning at the dentist. I need to make a list of groceries we'll be taking with us and buy whatever I don't have already. Time is starting to go by faster!

15 more days!! I'm starting to panic!!

Do I really have everything done?? (No way - even though i've been planning since December!)

I haven't been able to think about WDW for the past few days as I've been camping. This week, I will have to get back into WDW mode. What is there to do????!!! Someone make me a list, quick!

This is crazy! I just can't sleep...thinking about packing! What bag should I bring onboard the plane? Will I forget the park tickets, gps and car seat? Do I really want that adr? All the while, Call me Maybe keeps playing in my head! I can't do this for a whole week!

LOL! I am going to get that way soon, I can feel the panic rising now.

Did I mention I am terrified? It never ever goes as badly as I imagine it will but I am still a ball of anxiety. Sigh. Time to put on my big girl pants.

I'll be able to relax and get excited for the trip again once this is done.

How is everyone planning to wear their DIS name tags (for those that are) Am I supposed to punch a hole through it and run a piece of yarn thru it and letting it hang in the breeze or what? Im thinking its going to get ruined after the first day

I was planning to use one of those plastic name badge holders and clip it onto a lanyard/my park bag. I find those keep things really well. That's what I used on our cruise. Any other bright ideas to make our LGMHs visible?

We are flying...our plane flies out of Chicago O'hare at 9:03am (when I booked it, we were originally suppose to leave at 6:30am, but you know how things happen with the airlines) and arrive at MCO at 12:39pm . We had thought about driving before, for maybe like 5 minutes, but then DH and I laughed that idea away. We would much rather get to our Happy place in 3 and half hours on a plane then spend 20+ hours in the car with 2 kids in the back seat always asking if we are there yet .

How about you? and where are you staying? We are doing a split stay between the Poly and BLT. I think I am more excited about this trip then my kids are.

Only 17 more days! After all the planning since March I am getting excited but it is weird I am sad that in less than a month it will be over. But I can always bring on the charm with my wife and see if we can go next year!

We are driving because this will be an extended vacation visiting Daytona after Disney for 3 days and then to Kentucky to visit our son for 3 days before heading back to Indy. We are staying at the FQ. I have always wanted to do a split stay between the poly and FQ. Those are my 2 favs. So maybe 2014
