****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Ladies & Gentlemen A decision has been made. The third time is the charm. Here they are:

I also ironed on our first names on the back. The letters are what color you ask??? Why yes, they are a lime green in color, of course! :lmao::rotfl2:

Ok, someone talk me off of the ledge here. I didn't sleep well last night because my mind was racing about this trip, I'm starting to question all of my choices including resort and dining. I know it's just pre-trip anxiety, but the force is strong.

It's going to be fine......it's going to be fine.......I don't need to switch, it's going to be fine.....

I am totally doing this right now...looking into switching from ASMu to CBR (Pirate Room). My boys would love it sooooooo much, but it's another $200...ugh, what to do! :confused3

I can't remember who posted it and I can't find it in the threads... to whoever said they made some straps for their misting fans, what did you make them out of and how did you do it?? I have the fans already but think straps are a really good idea!! Also, are these froggy toggs really worth it? I bought some of the chilling neck straps that soak up cold water but am wondering if the toggs do something different/more.

I got my bag I bought for Disney in the mail today... an Overland Bayliss! I love it!!! Here's a pic:

bayliss2.jpg

It can be worn around the waist and across the body and has compartments for everything!! I think it's sooo cute!! :thumbsup2

Anyone else getting fun purchases to make the wait time a little more exciting??

13 more days for us!! And 6 more days of work!!

I say go for it! I switched us from ASMu to CSR (but ended up adding a day at the end at ASMu too!). For $200, you get a bigger room, better amenities, and the pool alone there is supposed to be worth your time. And for the length you are going and the age of your kids, you'll probably be hanging out at the resort some. Might as well be a place you love!!

Gina, I think both you and Pigletto are awesome. I try to live every day to the fullest and be thankful for each and every one of them. I had thyroid cancer when I was 24 and I'm since a diabetic and have kidney disease. You never know when something can happen to you and you need to enjoy every day you are on this earth. It may not be easy, and some days I ask why me, but truly, I am thankful to be here!

Oh, and to have Team August right there beside me!!!! :grouphug:

I missed this earlier! This thread moves so fast. You are pretty darn awesome yourself! We've sure gotten to know each other in this thread haven't we? I am so excited to hear about your trips!!!

Only you know your bottom line Beachmama. For 200 dollars I would make the switch. If it won't leave you tight for spending money. If it's a stretch then I know you will have a blast at AsMu too.
I love the mods. The pools are fantastic and they are certainly a different feel than the values. A little more grown up and relaxed maybe? But to be honest.. my kids have loved every single resort we've stayed in so I don't think you can go wrong either way:)

I agree! It's not like you go to Disney every day, so for the grand total you are paying, you might as well make it even more amazing. The kids won't be young forever!

DH & I are getting right into prepping for the trip! He made 3 sets of Minnie ears (1 for DD4 & 2for me since I couldn't decide on ribbon), 1 Mickey ears for DS6 and the 1 set of detachable ears he's snapping onto his Tilley hat! I made autograph books and pressed penny tubes, and 4 bleach shirts last night, then tonight we ironed on transfers & used glitter to customize $0.90 hats from zellers! just waiting on more Amy Mickey transfers to do about 30 shirts! I'll pst pics when I go to a desktop. I'm loving this!

9 of my in-laws are coming tomorrow to stay for the weekend to make last minute Disney plans. Wish me luck, sanity and a never empty glass of wine!

OMG, I have to share with you all this.
My husband just told me he is getting me a Tiffany Ring for our 5 yrs anniversary (well, I questioned him when I see the hug drop in bank account and I had been freaking out saving for our annual pass upgrade)
I dont know how to say this is a BIG BIG BIG deal for us since we are one income family of 5. I NEVER would dream getting something like that. We never even had our honeymoon or a big fancy wedding (Las Vegas with 10 family members and a buffet afterward)
I had been planning this trip for almost a year now with a lot of crunching and I never thought DH can pull something like that without me knowing it. :dance3:
So Magical already...hehehe

How exciting!!! Congrats, hope the trip is just as magical!

Those came out great! What transfer sheets did you use?
Thank you!!!

I went to Michael's and bought the June Tailor print 'n press iron-on transfer sheets 10pack. They are the ones you have to print mirror image and good for light or white shirts. I am super happy they came out this time because it was my last time. It was a do or die moment. I have had these imagined in my head for months and would have been sad if I couldn't get them to come out like they were in my head. These are what I was imagining. Yipee!!! :thumbsup2:cool1:

Thanks for your thoughts!!

I should have added that we're only at ASMu for three nights (sorry, I got a little excited and didn't add all my details!), then we switch to POR. So, I'm not sure I want to spend $200 for only three nights. Maybe I will just save the money and do the Pirate League?

They really did come out adorable!! Saw your post on FB, thanks for letting me steal your idea! Going to try printing tomorrow...we'll see how that goes, I am the opposite of crafty.

Hmm, hard one but the room you will leave to go enjoy the parks so depends on how much time you would be there. I will admit, we love CBR and my kids just asked today if we could go there too this trip. They wanted to use the pool(not old enough to know the dangers of mentioning resort pool hopping:lmao:) I was thinking today that I should have tried harder to add a day since DH swore we were staying until monday not saturday:crazy2: The cost to change flights were hard to justify($200 pp)

I need to try and sleep but how can I when I am going to Disney world in 8 hours My kids went right out. I want to be sure I am up with video camera in hand to record their excitement when I wake them on Disney Day!!

I cant wait for them to see Mickey but I dont think anything will match yds last year- we went to MK, right to M&G by tonys. No line, we went in and before I could get my camera on, yds eyes got huge and a smile spread on his little face and he waved and yelled
"Hey... Minnie, its ME Shane!"

This was the best shot I got, still waving then as he ran up to hug

Hi Team:cheer2: Im trying my best to pop in every now and then to check out pages that Ive missed, but as I said before this is the week of our move, and I cant take any time off work cuz we got Disney coming up;)....so I have been CRAZY:crazy2:. But I just wanted to check in and say that even though I havent been responding or posting very much lately, Im w/ all of you in spirit. Keep counting down guys!!!:dance3:

I hear you, why do we have to spend time elsewhere? It's wonderful here with our peeps!!

Anyway, I stopped packing for a bit to catch up and say that I will be gone for the next few days. Definitely on Sat and Sun I will be out of commission as we head to Algonquin Park to camp tomorrow morning! I'll be in the wild with no cellphone signal (what oh what oh what will I do??!!)

My living room is filled with mountains of stuff. I still have things to pack. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. It's almost midnight and I have to be up and at it by 5:30am. *yawwwnnnn* And what am I doing? Hanging out with my peeps!

One day I would love that!!!:)

My mom is absolutely awesome. This year she got her PHD! We all got up super early and drove to the graduation ceremony so we could be in the first row. All 6 of her children, my dad, my husband ,my brothers wife, and her grandkids. We took up the whole row and cheered like crazy people when her name was called. I can't describe how awesome that moment was.:)

wow - that's truly amazing.

22 day until we head to Disney. Physically I am still at work but my heart is already there. One thing that I want to really do this year is this, I spend a lot of time on forums, listening to Disney podcasts, checking TP & easywdw and planning every trip and then when we get there I am like we have to go here and be there at such and such time and I find myself getting home and realizing while I am there to really take the time and take it all in and enjoy the experience. We have pleanty of time we will be there for 9 days a 8 nights with 8 day passes with PH's so I am going to make an effort to relax some times and just look around and take it all in. Such as spending some time on Main Street, World Showcase and all the different trails @ AK. I think most of us on this thread are hardcore Disney fans and we get it when it comes to Disney and most of us have been there so many times that we forget why we love it so much. So this year I am going to spend some time (not saying I will not still have my commando moments) soaking it alll in and going back a few years ago(ok a lot of years ago) when I was just a kid and walking hand and hand with my grandma enjoy the experience of Disney. Sorry for my rant just one man's thoughts!

It's true - I get into Tour Guide mode with my spreadsheets and touring plans. I'm with you about taking the time to soak in the magic. I also try to do the same with my camera. While I would love more pics and videos for memories...sometimes I force myself to put it down and just be part of the moment.

OMG, I have to share with you all this.

I would prob do Pirates League myself. But only u can decide if it's worth it, especially since u will already be at a mod. I imagine you were adding on AsMu as a budget add-on?

Those came out great! What transfer sheets did you use?

I hope you are scoping out some good ideas! We will have family shirts if it's the last thing we do in these 22 days!! :thumbsup2

I should be doing my paper right now, but you can see that I am distracted. :lmao:

That is so awesome! Love it!. 8 Hours, I would not be able to sleep either!
Have a fantastic trip and looking forward to hearing all about it!

Regarding all you crafters :worship: :worship: :worship: I attempted a shirt on the weekend and.... failed miserably. I so want to be more crafty but I think my skillset ends with scrapbooking and bulletin boards. I will perhaps give it one more go :confused3 and we'll see. Need a little pixiedust: magic!

Hmmm. That changes it a bit. I'd probably save it and go do Pirate League. Give them an experience to remember!

So cute! Post pics and reports if you have time!!

For those that are not crafty, the iron-ons are super easy. Just pick out a design from the Disign forum, print it, and iron it on. Voila! Shirts that are custom made and look professional!!

On another topic, I have a question: We're going to Universal mid-trip for one night. I was planning on taking a cab but just realized we won't have a car seat for our little one. Anyone have experience with getting a cab with a car seat??? How can I do it, when do I need to do it, etc. It's worrying me that I didn't think of this until now!! :guilty:

These are awesome!! I love them! So original, great job! :thumbsup2

Thank you and everyone else that commented on my shirts. It makes me feel like I really accomplished something good. (I know, that is corny, but hey, that's me!) Speaking of corny, that is what my DH thinks of these shirts. He will wear his but only because he knows how much it means to me. He says they are silly and corny.

(on a side note: if you notice the parks and wording are in order of how the parks opened. I thought if I was going to put words on them, then the parks had to be in cronological order as well. I was channeling Walt at that moment and following through with the details.)
