I use a PC laptop, DH has a really nice gaming desktop and 3D monitor. My laptop is good enough for gaming too but I don't play very much. I doubt we'll ever have a Mac because they aren't good for gaming. :)

Are those flip flops comfy? Do they have arch support? I think I am going wear my tennis shoes most of the time but was thinking i need some sort of sandals for when I wear my dresses. 7.99 is much cheaper than 20-30 dollar ones you have to order online.

What are the benefits of online check-in? I was just planning on checking in when I got there. :)

Ooh I will go read and subscribe to your PTR! Yay for 30 day mark!

Such cute shirts and letter!!! You are so talented! I love it! Meanwhile I'd totally try to get in another day or two if your DH is up to it! ;)

Meanwhile, I only have 27 days to go!!!!

Online check in saves time providing info when you arrive. You show ID and get your stuff(more or less)you still go yo check in, often it's a shorter line then regular check in. You can put in any requests online too.

I really wish I could add but it would cost us $300 just to change flight(and have to leave earlier then I want if I move to Sunday.) then a night at akl with out room only discount and food, I told him we are going to beach when we get home instead.

Not a sports fan- I just learned olymics were next week:0

I am so ready for the Olympics! Waiting for the opening ceremonies with my favorite group Duran Duran performing! I also like watching all the different sports.

I remember when I lived in the Atlanta area in 1996. Just say, it was so crazy, I didn't leave my house much due to all the extra people!

Though I did volunteer at one of the events that was held in Pine Mtn GA, and I got a cool shirt for doing that.

29 more days and I can't wait. When my shirts come in, I will try to post a picture. If I can't get it to post on here, I will post on the FB page.

Those shirts are AMAZING! Wish I was that creative, never heard of Etsy... is this an American site? I am wanting to do shirts but have not tie dyed since I was a camp councillor 5 years ago and think that they may all turn out dishwater colour lol. May cheat and just do a coloured shirt with puff writing and maybe a t-shirt transfer.

Tomorrow it is 1 MONTH until we leave! Hooray!!!

Question - How is everyone going about planning? Do you plan out the days or just go with the flow. We have AK and DHS planned out but having trouble with MK and EP since they are quite a bit bigger.

I know my park days months out. I use crowd levels, hours and events then beyond that just pick. I make ADRs around it, don't have hoppers so I need to know where I'll be. We have 2 MK days, 2 EP, 2 DHS and 1 AK them arrival/departure is resort and DTD.

Good luck!! I have been a spec. ed. teacher for 8 years!! I've been at the high school level....but this year I will be transferring to our junior high. I'm really nervous and there are SO MANY things that are different between the grade levels!! I know I can do it....but it will be an adjustment!! I hope you get the job....you sound like you would do a wonderful job!

Good luck with your new job this year! I switched from 1st grade to 6th grade last year. It was definitely an adjustment, but I love middle school!! Hope you like it too.

Same here. By 180 days out when I make my ADRs, I pretty much know which park I will be in.

Does anyone else have the Touring Plans app and check wait times every once in a while, just for fun? Or I am weird? :)

I use the Undercover Tourist app for both WDW and US. I check it all of the time just for fun, LOL.

I have the Touring Plan app and check it when I am having a bad day. I go straight to check the TSM wait time and when it comes up 120 minutes, I just smile.

I taught middle school math for almost 20 years. People would tell me that I was crazy to want to teach middle school children, but I loved that age.

I just did this at lunchtime! On our early MK day, we are starting at the castle at RD since DD has her BBB at 8am. She wants to see the princesses, of course, but I don't want to swim upstream to the entrance at RD. So I've been checking the app every day around 11 my time to see what the wait's like for the princesses and what time FP return is. The plan is to run grab FPs, then eat lunch, and see the princesses on our way out for our afternoon break.

Have I mentioned that I'm a bit obsessed about this trip :rotfl:

I'm so excited about the Olympics! DH and I are always glued to the television when they are on lol.

Today and tomorrow are going to be stressful for me. I graduated in December in Special Education and I have been a teacher assistant at a school for kids with Autism for six years. I went on an interview at a school like the one I'm at now for a teaching position two weeks ago and they called me to do a mock lesson so I did that last Wednesday. They said there were 5 candidates and 3 positions open and that they would be calling either today or tomorrow. I felt good after the lesson so I'm praying I get this job! Needless to say, I will be a nervous wreck the next two days lol. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Good luck!!

Thanks for the info!! I want some that are comfy yet I don't want to spend a lot for something I probably won't wear much if at all outside of Disney. I am also afraid I won't find them comfortable thus making them unwearable for walking. I will have to make a Kmart stop and check those out! :).

Ugh - I've been on a crazy hunt for the perfect shoes for my WDW trip. I ordered a crazy number of really good quality walking shoes through Amazon and am pretty much returning all of them. (I ended up liking 1 pair - but need it in a different color). It's $100 - which is a ridiculous amount to spend on a pair of shoes (I rarely ever spend more than $20 since I usually pick shoes up on clearance racks).

I wavered on how much to spend on flip flops - and finally I decided not to spend TOO much....but enough to have better support than $2 flip flops since I do have a problem when shoes are too flat. These should be good for running out to the driveway, hanging out at Disney AND non-Disney waterparks, and going to pools.

Chrome is flaking out and not letting me select posts to quote and I'm too lazy to do it the hard way right now. ;)

I have had awesome luck with my Teva Mush flip flops - so comfortable...just as comfortable as my Crocs, if not more so!

I got sanuk yoga mat flip flops, love them! Also have adidas and liked croc capris when they were fabric and pretty

I marvel at people who can do two things in the parks
1)wear heals of any kind in Disney World and
2)wear flip flops- I just cant stand anything between my toes, nope, just can't do it. :confused3

I wear my rebok running shoes. Mind you, I don't run anywhere :rotfl2: but they are comfortable, lightweight and supportive. They are my only shoes I normally wear. This trip I will be taking a pair of sandals for my dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse to wear with my maxi sundress. That is the only place I will wear them.

As for our touring plans, we know which days we will be in which parks due to our ADRs and not having park hoppers. Our autistic DS doesn't like to go to more than one park a day and in and out of the parks. So we go to a park and stay til we are done for the day with an occasional dinner outside the park from MK to a monorail restaurant. We do 2 MK days, 2 Epcot days, 1 AK and 1 DHS day each.

We don't worry about lines for rides and amusements because we have a GAC and that helps. Sometimes if the line isn't too long or hot, we will wait in it because with the GAC, some rides you miss the build up to the ride and go to a different area to get on or wait. Sometimes I miss the lines (yes, a true nut here :lmao:, not the lines, just the immersion into the story).

Just goes to show you everyone is different...I will only wear running shoes for...running! :) In general I never wear sneakers for any reason other than running or sports, but I've tried them at WDW and have been miserable in them. Never again!

I wear nothing but Reefs in Disney World. So comfortable!! As a matter of fact, I wear nothing but Reefs from May to September!

To each their own I guess. Takes all kinds to make the "World" go round :lmao: I can't imagine wearing anything but sneakers doing all that walking in Disney. So we can both think the other is a little nuts. But hey we will both be in disney so it is all good! ::yes::

I have never stayed at the BC before. In fact, I have never stayed at Disney property before so I absolutely cannot wait! I think I have read every single post /review that has ever been made about BC on Trip Advisor and any other site that comes up when I google. I'm glad you like it, I love that it is a five minute walk to Epcot--we have a lot of ADRs there! :)
