****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Ok, someone talk me off of the ledge here. I didn't sleep well last night because my mind was racing about this trip, I'm starting to question all of my choices including resort and dining. I know it's just pre-trip anxiety, but the force is strong.

It's going to be fine......it's going to be fine.......I don't need to switch, it's going to be fine.....

NO!!! Don't give in to the changing imp!! You'll end up like me:rotfl2:

I've been booked at the Fort Wilderness Cabins for a month now. That is a record for me since I started planning this trip. You don't want to pay the change fees, you don't want all your documents to be messed up, you booked these things for a reason and you'll love them!!
Ignore the doubt!!
If you have to change something switch ONE ADR. That will satisfy the urge without messing everything up.

And yes.. this is pretty rich coming from me:rotfl2:

Last year I bought one clip on fan and my DD and I shared it. This year we are bringing two clip ons. We found that it worked very well for our needs. The only time we ever really used it was when we were waiting in stands for a show to start i.e. Beauty and Beast, Raiders, in line for Lion King, Illumantions etc. Here is a link to the ones we used unfortunately it won't make it in time for anyone going this month but if you plan to go next year http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Summer-Porta...ultDomain_0&hash=item1e6c2a5862#ht_7485wt_922

We tried three different spay on brands and both of us liked the Neutrogena US the best. I think we used an SPF of 60 My DD is very, very fair and I have sensitive skin and nether one of us had any issues with the Neutrogena.

I ordered these from Amazon, they are the same thing but ship from the US.

OH MY!!! I might take up a whole page just responding......[/COLOR]

Oh no.

I just hit that phase. The "So excited I can't stand it anymore" phase.:rotfl:

I watched a video of the Haunted Mansion and as soon as I heard the audio my stomach started flipping.
Darn. I was hoping I would make it until the week of the trip before I turned into a 6 year old and got super impatient.:rotfl2:

I am sooooo there with you. It's hard to concentrate at work or at home. What day is it again???

I get the same thing but mine is from rosacea. I get red cheeks and chin and blochy hives all when I'm overheated (or just hot) and when I'm upset. I have a few other things that trigger it that I just try to avoid instead of being on any medication for it. It goes away once I cool down.

Ugh!! My rosacea is in full force right now as I've been so stressed out. Hopefully I can relax a little so that our Disney pics are somewhat attractive and not hideous due to my face!

HAPPY AUGUST!!!

Back at ya!!

I GOT MY MICKEY MAIL TODAY!!!!! 3 WEEKS FROM TOMORROW MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE IN OUR HAPPY PLACE!!!!!

YAY!!! :dance3:

Wonder if my neighbours would think I'm crazy if a brought out a misty fan to "practice" with on my evening walk? :rotfl2:

Ok, who really cares what they think.....WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY!!! :thumbsup2

Gina, if I was your neighbour I would totally support your misty fan test walk. I'd join you and yell "We're going on vacation!!" all through the neighbourhood:rotfl2:

Make sure to post that little walk to YOU TUBE!!!! Or come on over to Maine and we'll walk in my neighborhood!!! :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Sure you don't want to zip down the 401 and meet me around 8-ish? ;)

I should be working too. :rotfl2: But I have Disney brain.

I have such Disney brain it's horrible. I should be doing way more work than I am!!!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. DD is feeling much better today and is fever free. :cheer2: She has gotten mystery fevers before and has had to sleep them offf. Last year she missed a whole week of school because the fever would return in the evening.

Glad she's feeling better! :flower3:

I always play a game with myself and try to get up to the next big number before the next trip. I think I have to get up to 5000 before the end of the month. Not sure how close I am until I hit submit:p

You go girl!!!!

We have been counting down for what feels like forever and we have finally hit the time were I get over excited three days till check in we are ready to go Disney here we come and also my 20 th trip and my 20 th birthday smiles

It does feel like forever, huh? Especially for people like me who book the bounceback before the vacation is over!!! :sad2:

I have had an on and off on productive cough and low fever the last couple of days. Well today it hurts to take a deep breath. I'm worried it's pneumonia. At one point today i took a deep breath and it hurt so bad i contemplated the ER. If I feel like this tomorrow I'm making an appointment with my doctor. Last time I had pneumonia it lasted a month. I hope that's not the case this time. We leave in 24 days!

How are you doing today?? Better I hope. Let's us know!!! :grouphug:

I have a countdown app too. Haha I wish checking it a ton would speed it up!

What's the name of the countdown app?? I just got an iphone 2 days ago and I would love to have that!!! :cool2:

It's going to be fine......it's going to be fine.......I don't need to switch, it's going to be fine.....

Everything will be magical. Don't change a thing!!! pixiedust:

NO!!! Don't give in to the changing imp!! You'll end up like me:rotfl2: And yes.. this is pretty rich coming from me:rotfl2:

Nope.....you don't want to be a little pigletto!! Although she's been very entertaining!!! ;)

Ok, I'm getting kind of nervous here.....We leave in 15 days and have not received our MAGICAL EXPRESS labels for the luggage. Does everyone have them or have found that the are coming extremely late?

So excited for today...I have a side personal sales business (mmm...beer bread!) and I have my first customer appreciation sale today. I feel like I can't leave the computer because I am taking online orders and phone orders. I have my first one already:) I need to get some cleaning done so it is done before the trip because I go back to school for teaching soon after we get back. Where did summer go?
It's exciting because the profit I made this year has paid for our APs this year:)
Have a great day everyone...12 more sleeps!

I would give them a quick call and find out what is going on. The number is 886-599-0951 I received my ME letter over a month ago, we don't leave until the 19th and live in Canada so it takes longer to get here.

Wow. I've been super busy at work & home and have missed about 10 pages! So I'm starting at the end- will work my way back through. I just wanted to say that we were told that our ME tags were mailed on the 15th and we just got them on Monday (the 30th). So for whatever reason they took FOREVER to get here.

Thanks Stan.....I will do that!!!

Finally have caught up on yesterdays post. Man you guys were BUSY yesterday :lmao: I think I too will join this challenge... I think my next major milestone is 200, I'll give it a shot!

I too will check out Giant Tiger - there are 2 in town and havent been in ages but would bet they are a good place to look.

Question for fellow Canadian Dis-ers. Have you seen frog toggs around? I have looked at Wally World with no success, was thinking about checking out Bed, Bath and Beyond as one just opened near us. Any ideas?

Another question for everyone. I dont burn like crazy (still need to wear SPF 40+ sunscreen but I digress) the sun does get to me though. Yesterday went to a local amusement park (Canada's Wonderland) and despite wearing suncreen, a hat, sunglasses, drinking plenty and taking breaks I still had a major headache by the end of the day. Am so worried now that these headaches are going to get to me :( Any tips? We are planning on taking a break most days (other than AK and DS) We will also have dining breaks in between so hoping I will be fine :thumbsup2 Is anyone else prone to headaches/ migranes, any suggestions?

Are the misting fans at Disney like these or better? I saw pics on Couponing to Disney site and I think these are the same or at least same brand.

I know we will need one and if the ones at Disney don't have Mickey on them then its not much of a souvenier so I'd rather get it ahead of time (though I've seen the stroller fans and I think those might be cute to put on DH's ECV).

51WGLcCuMUL.jpg

These are 11.99 each with free shipping on Amazon.

Also considering some Body Glide, Neutrogena Sunblock spray (70 SPF debating between Fresh cooling and just regular sheer) and the Unofficial Disney Guide. :)

OK, I'm caught up. Just wanted to add that I have those misting fans and they've worked great for us this hot summer. They fit in the cup holders on our stroller, but I also made straps for if we want to hang them from a carabiner clip on the stroller handle. They keep DD cool (and busy) and as an added bonus, when she's misting herself in the stroller, some of the cool water floats back to me pushing the stroller. DS carries his while he's using it and puts it in the stroller when he's not.

ETA: forgot to mention that these do use up batteries pretty quickly. If you get one, be sure to bring extra batteries.

I also would like to know where I can get frog Toggs.

Do you drink coffee threw out the day at home/work? I found last year I started getting a headache at EPCOT and while I did not want a cup of coffee I knew I needed one. A quick overpriced not that great cup of joe and my headache was gone.

I have a GT two blocks from me and another one next door to where I work. Did you get them this year and where we're they located?

Yup, I did get all three of them this year.

I purchased the first two around the end of June at the GT Express in downtown Belleville. The third I purchased a week or two later at the GT in Belleville's west end.

I have also noticed misty fans for sale at Toys R Us. They are different from the Discovery Kids ones but also might do the trick, if your Giant Tiger is out of stock.

Man, can I relate on the headaches. As a brain tumor survivor (I had an awake craniotomy in 1998) I have suffered through the worst of them. Sometimes still do. Flying, in particular, seems to really bother my head. A hard lesson to learn on our way to Disney in 2009.

You know what normally helps me avoid the migraine meltdown? Gravol. I don't know why, but its like my miracle drug on bad days.

I got my Frogg Togg Chilly Pad through Amazon. The color I got as on sale and I got it for about $15 with shipping:)

I wouldn't get nervous. Worse comes to worse you gather your bags, head to ME and sign in at the counter. I had to do this last year as we added days to the beginning of our trip due to the impending hurricane. It was very easy! I would give them a call though so you can relax.

I am not a coffee drinker but often have tea so maybe this will help.

So I just picked up the new weekly grocery store ads, and I thought
"I DON'T NEED TO LOOK AT THESE BECAUSE I LEAVE IN 48 HOURS TO GO TO DISNEY!!!:cool1:"

For once, I do not care how much boneless chicken breasts are per pound!:rotfl:

How very liberating.
:woohoo::hyper:

YOU WILL BE FINE!!! Not everything will go as planned but you are going to the happiest place on earth! Relax its out of your hands. What will be will be...[insert appropriate positive Disney song here].

My DD hates wearing a hat but I made here wear one. She's glad I did.

Thanks Stan! Those are tiny! But I bet they would be easier to carry. I think I'm relying heavily on being able to pack down DH's ECV. :lmao:
Also thanks for the sunscreen rec. I am leaning towards that for me but lotion for DH. He has agreed to shorts now too. I should just give in and wear a hat. Maybe get a new cute one at Disney. All I have is a lilac Adidas one and a floppy straw hat now.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the positive review. I think I am leaning towards these because I can fill these with ice water and having it last longer and since we dont have to carry them I'm not concerned with their size.

TO THOSE ASKING ABOUT FROG TOGGS: Sorry I forgot to quote. I am not in Canada so I can't give exact recs BUT I work for an industrial company and we get alot of our safety supplies and fasteners from a vendor called Grainger. We buy the Chill-its brand bandanas and chilling towels (they are like frog toggs) for our mechanics and operators (besides the control room the plant is not air conditioned). While its an industrial store anyone can buy things from it, so perhaps you could check out any industrial safety supply stores or even call around to your local hardware stores to see if they have them in stock. Our operators prefer the banadanas to the towels but DH refuses to wear one so I won't be ordering one for us but our operators swear by them. They wear them like a headband under their hard hat, but I've also seen them worn around the neck. Just checked and Grainger is international. Here is the link to the bandana we buy: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/CHILLITS-Cooling-Bandana-16V833?Pid=search

We leave in 16 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

Oh my goodness, that is very scary. I am glad to hear that you got through all of that!
The flight is something else that is worrying me a bit.
Thank you for the tip about the Gravol, I often get a very sick stomach along with the headache so that may be something that would work. Do you know if you can take Gravol alongside an advil or tylenol?

I don't normally take the two together (Advil/Tylenol + Gravol) as I don't find I need them both at once. The Gravol seems to do the trick, all on its own (FWIW, I use the extra strength Gravol, though......the regular strength never seems to be quite enough).

I take one dose of Gravel 1/2 hour before boarding and never have a problem in the air :thumbsup2 . My first flight, I was so sick to my stomach and headachy that I thought I'd expire by the time we landed at MCO. Gravol makes a world of difference (and as an added bonus, it makes you kinda sleepy......so you might even find you doze a bit on the plane).

I credit my survival to my awesome neurosurgeon at Toronto Western Hospital. I will never be able to thank him enough. My son was only two at the time....thanks to the talents of an incredible doctor, I have lived to see him grow up.

Just a reminder to everyone.....live your life to the fullest. This is no dress rehearsal.
