I don't like having to call the bank for these sort of things (I am very lazy that way) so that is why we use our Disney Visa and pay the bill of when it comes in. We do watch what we spend but just don't have a true limit. Dh understands that shopping is a must.

it's not my favorite thing, either, but we use a credit union, and they are pretty friendly and easy to work with. And even though it was a pain in the butt to have my card frozen while I was out of town, it was kind of reassuring to know that if someone ever steals our debit cards, they won't be able to book WDW vacations while gambling in Vegas on our dime

We use credit unions also, but I am still too lazy to call. Can't rely on the Dh to do it either. He will say, I will do it later and later never comes.

It is surprising that many people don't know that many banks/credit unions have a limit on the debit cards.

Sorry for the delays everyone - had a lot going on the last few days and been putting off doing these updates. Yes, I'm a born procrastinator.

The list has me at the MK on the 22nd but we'll be in Epcot for the YES class.

Had a bit of a scare just now. I was checking my resort reservations and noticed that on the reservation, for my Poly stay, we have ground transportation included but on our BLT part of our stay, there was no ground transportation included. I called DME to confirm everything and they only had our departure flight number but not our arrival flight number . So I immediately went to United's website to check on our flight info and sure enough they changed our flight out (to 3 minutes later) which then changes our flight number, unfortunately they never notified me about it . I then called back DME with the correct info and the good thing about all of this is that she said my tags have already been sent out on 7/21 therefore I should be receiving them anytime now, but with the old flight info. She proceeded to say that since we are not switching resorts they won't send out new tags, but everything is updated in their system. So hopefully either tomorrow or Saturday we will be getting our ME docs

Mickey Mail came today. The TA I am an assistant for sends me the documents to get ready so my kids think nothing of getting a package with all kinds of Mickey mail in it.

Now just need my DME vouchers. The tags came but not the voucher.

We should complain!!!! . The worst part is, this is our first time flying United and we only booked through them because I happened to find $99 one way flights a few months back. Our flight coming home is through Airtran...and we haven't had any problems like that with them (we always fly through them), they have always notified me whenever there was a change. Depending on how the flight is to MCO is what will decide if I want use United again....we shall see.

This comes with questions though...if we play Mini Golf the voucher coverss one person per room right? so we have 2 packages with 3 people each....does everyone need to play? My mom wouldn't really want to play but would like atch the kids....

100 play points for the arcade...about how many games is that?

If we choose to go to Planet Hollywood, can we use both $15 vouchers for one table? since we are in 2 rooms? Also, what are the souviner vouchers for there?


And my moment...i had to youtube how to use the luggage tags!!!! I may be slightly stunned...lol

And I packed a bag today!!! no I haven't completely lost it, my DS6 leaves tomorrow for campng for a week ith Nannie and Papa....part of me is , but part of me is because I will miss him....

I have no clue as to how much money we are taking yet. So far, I have money for mousekeeping, just need to make the envelopes. We normally don't have a set amount. We just sort of buy what we need/want as we go along. Oh, I also, we will bring enough cash for tips and small things.

Ohhhh thank you for reminding me! I almost forgot about making envelopes for mousekeeping and the kids love doing that.

So far these are the things I need to get on top of:

possible making autograph books

Gah, so much to do so little time. Good thing this thread is keeping my head straight.

I had a stressful day with lots of fighting between my girls. Some days I feel like a maid/referee

As to using a debit card, does yours have a limit on how much you can use per day?

WOW... I was only budgeting about 200 a day and we're not on the dining plan. Now I'm a bit worried... we do have ADRs but not too many (overestimating the tip and extras like drinks we might spend 400 on these). We're going to try to eat in the room each morning and will be bringing some of the snacks with us (especially for the little guy!). I have 1050 in Disney gift cards and about 1100 in cash for an 11 day trip. Do I need to think about bringing more???

How much should you give mousekeeping a day? I was just going to print my envelopes and it's a FANTASTIC idea to stuff them now and not have to worry about it there!!

Still no DME tags, though they said those were mailed on the 18th. I'm giving it till Monday before I call

OT, but my mom is driving me nuts today. Just had to put that out there somewhere. She lives off of public assistance and yesterday she asked me for $20 to get her through the end of the month. Today she came over and was telling me all about how she & some friends went to see Batman yesterday, then rented canoes today and going out for pizza tomorrow... Um, I didn't take my kids to the movies last weekend because I'm trying to save for a vacation and a movie would have made us pretty tight before payday (tomorrow). But I have money to give her to support her social life? And then I was showing my DH the new laptop I got for work and my mom asked if she could have my old one. I told her I was planning to keep it for the kids to use and she told me that she needs it more than them. Well, excuse me, but if you need a computer, go get a job and buy one! Sorry for ranting. Just had to get that off my chest. Kind of put a damper on the good mood I was in when I opened the Mickey Mail

ETA that the reason my mom "needs" a computer is because she is addicted to FB games like Farmville. She spends hours a day at the library playing them. If she was going to use the computer for something useful like looking for a job, it'd be a different story

Was quite the day today We were planning on about $150-200 per day @ Disney but now not too sure how much we can budget for. Our camera broke (battery compartment snapped) so needing a new one and today the family van broke down and needing $500 + repair (of course). Why oh why now!
Better start scouring the house for items to sell!
