Hey we'll be driving from Long Island, NY and staying at CBR too!! We're leaving the 22nd staying the night in NC and getting in the 23rd! Maybe we'll see each other? This is our 1st time at CBR. I picked this resort because of the cool themed pool for my boys.

That is cool. You have a couple hours less than us. We stop in Georgia after driving from 7 PM to about 2 or 3 PM the next day. We love the Country Inn & Suites off exit 109 of Interstate 95 in Savannah, GA. This year it will be with 6 of us in our van, so it should be an interesting ride.

I hope you like the CBR. Have a great time.
Maybe we will run into each while we are there.

Its dinner. I did breakfast last October and we are doing it in December also. We just booked this trip on Monday so I gotta take what I can get! We are going to be at CBR August 28- September 1

We're finally at the two week mark. All this planning and waiting is finally going to come to fruition. I'm so EXCITED!

We are having the opposite problem my kids are wishing my Wife and I would stop talking about Disney. We have been planning this trip since last August but ever since May it seems like every waking hour that we have been together we have been organizing, planning and discussing the details. You would think we we would run out of things to plan but here we are still discussing.

I was reading your post and thinking, "Wow, that sounds just like ME and MY husband". And then I looked over and realized that you ARE my husband! You are sound asleep, but it's after midnight so I can be the first to officially say "ONE WEEK TIL WE LEAVE!".

And he's not exaggerating when he says we are driving our kids crazy. Though now that it is getting closer they are starting to get excited too.

I got our green mickey heads today! Can't wait to get our names on them and get them laminated, hole punched, or whatever else we decide to do. We'll be looking for our other green mickey head disboard friends while we are there. We're hoping to go the Pop Century meet on the 16th.

SO EXCITING!!!!!!!! ONE WEEK TO GO!!!!!

i leave TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. My grandfather is in the hospital, and we almost canceled our trip but hes been doing better so we are stilll going but i have not packed much because I have been with him and the whole family at the hospital. I hope that this vacation goes smoothly, and that we can get some relaxation on this trip and not just worry about him the whole time. We were gonna cancel, but with my school schedule since im going to be a senior this fall in college, this is the only time I can go for over a year. So lets all keep our fingers crossed that everything keeeps going smoothly!!

Wow that a long drive before stopping. This will be our families long car trip together. We drove to Williamsburg and that was a easy trip. We left around 3:30 am and drove most of the way with the boys sleeping. That is our plan for this trip. We are stopping overnight in NC because DH cousins just moved down there. I'll have my Green Mickey heads, so we'll be noticable.

Tonight we finish packing and fill out the boarding agreement paperwork on all 5 dogs. 24 hours from now, we get the rental car. Saturday at 7 AM we will drop off the dogs. Saturday at 9 AM, we should be showered and ready to hit the road.

We should be knee deep in pixie dust in just a little over 48 hours.

I'm going crazy b/c I can't talk about our upcoming trip! It's a surprise for my DD's 14th birthday...she thinks we are going to the Bahamas. I'm finding I don't like not talking about it......we haven't done a real trip to disney in a few years and I feel very unprepared b/c I can't read/talk/look at anything at home! I'm half tempted to spill the beans to her...but I keep saying 13 more days, 13 more days.

Anyone else ever surprise their teenager? How did it go?

the only time we can drive through the night is if one of our young adult children is driving!! They seem to have that ability to stay up all night that us real adults got over!

We'll leave on Sunday and drive from Northern VA to Savannah GA.. then on to Melbourne and the college from there. Then Disney 2 days later!!

We used to stay in the Country Inn and Suites on 95 in Kingsland, but we found a really nice hotel, I think it was a Comfort Suites in Savannah that we really liked. I think we'll stay there instead. And its a bit less of a drive than Kingsland.

We went to Williamsburg 4 times in one year a while back.... luckily for us its just under 4 hours, unless you hit really bad traffic... then all bets are off!!
