***Official August 2010 Thread!! Come Join Us In The Countdown!*****

Just thought I would pass on a space saving trip, unless of course you are going to purchase those space bags...I always roll my clothes instead of folding them, I can fit twice as much, and most of the time they don't come out all wrinkly..:yay:

Great idea !!!!:thumbsup2

My story is a sad one with a happy ending, I hope. We planned a trip to Disney for early August but in late May my mom got sick. We had to fly my family across country to be with her (she died while we were there). We had to cancel our Disney trip because we spent all our money on our trip to see my mom. My children were heartbroken (we also were going to the beach for a week and had to cancel that as well) from losing their grandma and all their fun summer plans going down the tube. I also was unemployed this summer so money was tight. Now the semi-happy ending: I got a new job and my DH and I decided to re-book Disney. We didn't want my children to remember this summer as the worst one ever. We are going in two weeks. We also decided to surprise the kiddies. They think we are going on a 1 day road trip to who knows where. But really we are driving to Disney and staying for 7 days. I can't wait. It's become a great distraction from reality, planning this vacation and trying to keep myself from spoiling the surprise!!

So sorry for your loss Teach36. I'm glad that you were able to squeeze in that trip so the kids will be happy. I know that you're mom will be with you. :littleangel: You'll see little signs. I did. :cloud9:

So sweet Mindy, thank you. She's always in my thoughts and I have no doubt that in some way she helped me pull this one off!

Teach36, I am so sorry that you had such a sad and hard year. It sounds like things are getting a little better. Congrats on the new job and being able to escape reality for a week, we all need that to heal.

We got our online check-in notice yesterday:banana: and soooo excited because that means we are in the single digits until we leave. OH NO, that means I better start to pack. 8 days and counting until we arrive at the BLT.
