Excellent call planning your resort days. :thumbsup2

I really wish I had planned more down time the first two trips.

I have it this time. :) I have two park days and then a resort/DTD/Water Park for 14 days for this trip.

Your ADRs look yummy too. :cloud9:

Thanks! I have learned a lot in the past two trips with my two little boys. Namely - EAT CLOSE TO WHERE YOU ARE.... Our first trip I had us hopping all around the world to get to all these different locations... when really all we wanted to do was to walk out of our room and eat dinner... or eat in the park ... etc etc... Plus we scheduled TWO date nights - with one of them having the kids be at the Neverland club allows us for some alone time in the room before dinner  .... that is CRITICAL on a vaca!

We booked Bounceback in Sept and orginally planned to go Sept 1-7 but called today and switched to Aug.29-Sept.5. We'll be staying at our favorite mod,CSR, with free dining :cool1:

Thanks for the cool thread!

I'll be at CBR 8/15-8/23 celebrating family vaca & niece's & nephews' & DB's GF's first trip!

We will be traveling August 6-12th Bay Lake Towers 1 bdrm w/MK view and we are also using the Dining Deluxe Plan

Advice please: I need to start planning my ADRs. We usually fly JetBlue to Disney but the prices for August are still very high. And there is a huge difference in price depending on the time of day that we fly. I'm not sure what to do about dinner the 1st night. Our preferred flight time would have us arriving at 2:30pm but currently costs $194 one-way. The early morning flight has us arriving at 9:30am and costs $159 one-way. The afternoon flights are only $124 but the earlier of the 2 has us landing at 6:30pm. We're a family of 5 so the difference between preferred and cheapest flight would be $350!
My kids are definitely early bed-time kids. The youngest is usually in bed by 7:30pm and really falls apart by 8-8:30pm. The older 2 are usually in bed by 8pm and start to fall apart by 9pm.

Question: Should I make the 1st night reservation at Cape May because we're staying at BCV and I won't be sad if we miss eating there? But if we arrive earlier, I'd rather eat somewhere at Epcot....

Thanks,
Amanda

Id do the early morning one myself. I figure I want to be able to do things on arrival day and make the most of all my time at WDW. If you don't land until 6:30 you won't be to the resort until at least 7:30 so I'd just do cs since your kids would be beat.
Are you using a TA? She/he could be tracking flight prices for you.

We've done the early morning flight in the past but we hate waking up at 4am! The kids are SO exhausted by the end of the day. I don't mind paying a little extra for the flight I want (especially since we have $200 worth of travel vouchers on Jet Blue) but the prices right now are too high. Maybe I should just make a dinner reservation somewhere in Epcot but not one of my 1st choice places...

There are lots of great CS at Epcot. You don't need an ADR for that plan.

We'll be there Aug. 1-8 for our 8th anniversary. Staying at AKL. I'm so excited.
Just planned our ADRs this week! :)

I'm just hoping that nothing prevents us from going...money, money, money.

We are going from 2nd Aug - 23rd Aug. Staying off site at Nicols Orlando Villa, there's 8 of us me, DH, DD, DS, Friend plus her family

Just a quick FYI.

For those of us staying on site with dates before 8/14 - the %off has been extended. The ending date was 6/2. It is now 8/14.

I was able to upgrade my WL view and still save $$ over my original price.

August 15th to the 22nd. CSR for 5 nights then the Nick Hotel for 2 but using our volunteer ticket on our last day.

We'll be at BWV on August 22-29. We're celebrating DS's 9th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary.

Going August 27 to September 3. Staying at Pop Century. Can't wait. Second trip with the boys.

We just booked our room at POR thanks to the room-only discount that's been extended! We moved our dates to 8/13- 8/23. Only a few days until the 180 day mark! :yay:

We are staying 8/5-8/15 club level at the Contemporary. We have already booked all our ADRs (so many because we all decided on the deluxe dining) but got everywhere we wanted. Can't wait, hope to see some of you who will be there at that time:yay:
