I will be happy to help you with your ADR's. The first question I want to ask you is, can you eat a big lunch AND a big dinner. I noticed that you have Biergarten for lunch and Tutto Italia for dinner. Personally, If I do a big meal for lunch, I'm not up for that for dinner. But that's just a personal preference, so i'm asking. Just something to think about. Biergarten ist zehr yummy!! I've never eaten at Tutto. I have done the Fantasmic dining package at Hollywood and Vine. We enjoyed it. There was alot to choose from on the buffet. Nice casual atmosphere and friendly service. You have a counter service afternoon at DHS. Don't go to the CBS Commissary. Its horrible. I think its the worse food at Disney. Not much to choose from and very greasy. We've eaten at Pizza Planet. Again, not much selection, but if you like a thicker crust pizza, you get a nice portion and you can get a small salad with it if you want. The Backlot Express is my choice there. Even better, at DHS, you can actually walk to the Boardwalk or Dolphin Hotel or take the boat launch. You could go to the soda fountain at the Dolphin or Beach & Cream at the Beach Club. B&C is a TS credit though, so I'd pay OOP for it because its not expensive. I like the QS locations in the Contemporary and Poly. I like the hop the monorail at lunch and head away from the MK crowds for my lunch. There are decent QS locations in Mk though. There is El Pirata y El Perico (seasonal) and Pinocchios Village Haus or Columbia Harbour House. Epcot has some of my favorite QS locations. The Sommerfest in German is very good. Best sauerkraut ever! Tangierine Cafe in Morocco--yum. The QS in the Land pavilion is exceptional! And the Japan pavilion has a QS that is great! The bakery in the Norway pavilion and the France pavilion are delicious. At DTD, choose Earl of Sandwich, its very good, you really can't go wrong there. What do you mean by Whatever we pack for breakfast? Are you bringing food from home or are you getting carry out at POR food court? The food courts have nice breakfast options. We're going to be there about the same time. We're going the 11th through the 19th. We don't do dining plans, free or otherwise. I like to have my Kashi for breakfast, so I'll probably bring my cereal to the food court at the Pop and buy some milk. I can refill my mug there with coffee or tea or anything else for that matter. The value resorts actually have more options for mug refills that the others. The deluxe resorts have the fewest free refill options.
Have you been to Disney before?
Congratulations on your wedding!:bride::cool1:

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it! I was at Disney when I was in 2nd grade..so I don't really count that because I only remember certain things! My DH has never been there, and never been on a decent rollercoaster! He's what I call an adreneline junkie, so he's pretty excited to finally do it! Some days he is really excited and the next day I don't think he's realized what he got himself into when I tell him about all the planning! :laughing: We've been married for almost 2 years..and never took a honeymoon because of finances. We finally got ourselves up on our feet and doing just fine so we decided to finally take a honeymoon. We're like 2 big kids! He even said so himself and said he wanted to check it all out before we bring our daughter there! Of course I was thinking "WAHOO! He already wants to go back and he hasn't even see it yet!!!!" Anyways, thank you for your help! I'll make a few notes of it and discuss it with DH and see what we come up with!

I was thinking the same thing as Mindy with the big lunch & dinner table services on the same day. Might be tough to have to eat all that food!:laughing: Unless you have an early lunch and a later dinner? I've found that with all of that heat, you don't really need huge meals to get around.

And I'm going to against Mindy here and say that Wolfgang Puck Express is GREAT! Of course I've never tried Earl, but WPE is so good! You get a lot of good food at a really decent cost. Plus you get to sit down and someone brings out your food for you which is nice.

Congrats on your honeymoon! We still haven't been on a honeymoon, although we've only been married for a year now! I'm sure you are going to have a blast!

I would not contradict Julie on WPE, I've never eaten there. Since Julie so highly recommends it, I'm willing to try it. We have eaten at Earl many times and just love the selection. We always send DH to the counter for the food while we wait at a table. We haven't had trouble getting a table. I'm so glad that you are finally getting a honeymoon. My DD21 got married in August and they took a familymoon to the Outer Banks because her DH was being deployed to Iraq shortly after their wedding, so he also needed to spend time with his family before deployment as he only got the 2 weeks. When he returns from Iraq which hopefully won't be too long, they can finally have a Disneymoon. He's supposed to have the whole month of August off IF his brigade returns to New York before then.
Disclosure: Julie and I are friends from the July 09 thread and will finally be meeting up for the first time in August when we're both staying at the Pop.:grouphug:

We will be there Aug 21-28 at on offsite for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes:banana::cool1:

We'll just miss you! congratulations! :hug: That's a great 20 year anniversary celebration. For our 20th in 2006, we went to Colonial Williamsburg for the 1st trip without kids! Had a great time. Our 25th is in 2011 and I told DH if we can't get into Olina Resort on Oahu (the new DVC resort opening in 2011), then he had to take me to the fake Hawaii (the Poly)... but I'm thinking Disney Cruise now! I want to be able to go in the water.... Castaway Cay! :dance3:

You know what...it was hotter than heck here today and I noticed how I wasn't hungry hardly at all! Summer hasn't even begun here yet! Hhhmmm..I'll have to let you know what happens!! Will be thinking of your DD's husband! Hope he stays safe and gets home soon! A Disneymoon will most definitely be needed!! :) Sidenote: YAY!! for you getting to meet friends from these boards. I haven't had too much to say on here to really get to chit chat with anyone yet. Anyways, DH is getting antsy and wants to check his email..so I best get off of here..be the nice spouse that I am and share:thumbsup2 Thanks for the help!

This is our first trip without kids, we were last there in 2005, a long 5 years ago with our 2 boys & nephew. I am really looking forward to this trip, & an early Congrats to you for 25 years in 2011, I hope you get to go to Hawaii, but if not the Poly might be just as good.

Because of the age gap between my 2 older children (21 and 18) and my youngest (7 1/2), by the time we could leave the two oldest at home, we had the baby! When we went for our 20th anniversary to Williamsburg, we left her with her brother and sister and my sister. While we were enjoying lunch on our last day, my sister called that our basement was flooding as we were having a massive rain storm. We immediately left but we live 3 1/2 hours from Williamsburg. By the time we got near Richmond, we hit the storm. We got stuck on top of the Springfield mixing bowl and had to eventually back out down the exit ramps with others and then drive at least 1 mile in reverse, to the only open exit and we finally got home. The end result was we ended up having to replace the carpet, so we got black & white tile and completed our Soda Fountain themeing in the basement. We ended up using Casey's Corner and Beaches and Cream as inspiration.

No, we're in Northern Virginia. West Virginia's panhandle is just a half hour drive west. The Harper's Ferry and Charles Town areas. We are in Ashburn which is next to the colonial historic Leesburg. The Washington Redskins facility is in Ashburn.

Williamsburg is 3 1/2 hours south east of us. We're actually a western suburb of Washington DC. Which is probably why we have the Redskins here. Where we are, Maryland is a short drive, West VA is a short drive too. DC, is 33 miles east. Which suburb of NYC are you in? My people come from Brooklyn originally. Our area of Virginia doesn't have any accent unless you think DC has an accent. We think NYC does... and its so cute too!:hug:
