If I recall correctly, the last day to book free dining last year was the 24th and the room only code I used for late mid/late August was released on the 28th. I could be wrong, but those are the dates I have written down.

*whining in best whiny voice* Im tired of waiting *stamping feet* Ive been planning this trip for about 15 months and it seems as though every step of the process is like fishing....always hanging from a string and not able to reach it until yeah !! Finally .......you get something good. This trip planning has made me become very patient. However Im tired of being patient, LOL! I want a GREAT code soon so I can pay off the rest of my balance smiling. It would also be nice to tell the other 8 people that are going that we all managed to save some money off of our $6,000 something dollar vacations.

If you goto disney's website www.disney.com it says there:

So I would assume sometime after that date is when you will see those GP discounts you all are looking for as today is the 22nd so maybe by MID WEEK? It should be soon.

I checked on mousesavers and your dates are correct. So hopefully we'll see something late this week.

I have a question....

I have already booked my Disney trip for this August and paid for in full through AAA. I am already saving 15%. IF the GC EVER comes out and if its good for my dates can I call my AAA TA and have her add that code to my room and then get a refund from Disney? Also would I be getting a refund by check or by credit card? I believe I have used the same card to pay it off in increments but if I have used 2 different cards, which card would get refunded? Im guessing the one I used the most?

Also I see that for my dates AKL is completely booked. Would that mean I would not be able to use the code or would they just apply the code to my reservation?

I too have a question. I have a pkg. booked for 8/17 to 8/22. I added 1 day before (8/16) room only and 1 day after (checkout 8/23) room only - due to airline rates. I haven't paid for the pkg yet, but i had to pay for room only dates. My AAA TA applied a code towards 8/16 but i paid reg. rates for 8/22.
If a new rate comes out for GP, lower than what i paid, can they apply the new code? can i get a credit if i already paid for those 2 days? Can that credit be applied towards the pkg. that's still due?

I think we're all still waiting for a code for August..... historically, once the Annual passholder codes and Florida resident codes come out, USUALLY the general public codes follow a week or so later-I'm hoping we see them this week

Even if it comes out after that, Disney will normally transfer your payment to a new reservation without penalty. At least they were doing this last year. You just had to pay in full the reservation.

My final payment is due on Wednesday.

On the last round of GP discounts for april/may came out after my 45 day mark and I had a package booked without trip insurance and was told that if I made changes within the 45 days prior to check in I would be charged 100$ to change my package to room only from room and tix because I didn't purchase trip insurance. If I would have purchased the trip insurance than I would have not got chared the 100$. I didn't end up changing because I was staying at a value and the price to change and the discount kinda evened out. Make sense
FWIW-I know people on the boards have reported being able to change without penality but all 3 CM I talked to said I couldn't.HTH

No one knows for sure, but I can tell you that last year's August code saved me 30% off my room reservation at a moderate. I currently have a room booked with a 20% AAA discount, but would love to get 30% instead!
