McCouch Exiting ATWT



Emmy-nominated Grayson McCouch (Dusty Donovan) has taped his final As the World Turns scenes. Despite the fact that the actor was given a goodbye party -- complete with a cake -- a show spokesperson has declined to comment on McCouch's departure.


McCouch joined the show in 2003 and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2006.


***He and Cady McClain taped their last show on Dec. 14. So sad. Two rumors were listed. One is that he was asked to take a pay cut and refused. The other is that the pilot he taped awhile back is being shown as a movie in 2008, and that Fox may have renewed interest in the show.

Brad/Katie/Jack/Carly: Katie and Brad are on the babymaking trail, but she remains torn due to her feelings for Jack. She's convinced Jack will never fully be free of Carly's spell. Jack and Parker know that Kit and Sam are up to no good, but will Carly's eyes ever open to the truth?

Rosanna/Paul/Meg/Craig: Paul is the father of Meg's baby and only Rosanna and Craig know the truth. The secret cannot be kept forever and when the truth comes out, it will change the lives of all four players forever. Expect Cady McClain's January exit to figure heavily in this story's climax..which may not work out the way fans expect.

Lily/Holden: Considering the history between Dusty and Lily, their relationship is a huge stumbling block for Holden. He starts gravitating towards Bonnie, testing the waters as a single man, but when disaster strikes, will it force Lily back into Holden's orbit? That disaster will drive Lily to interact with a stranger as well.

Emily/Chris: Emily cares for Chris, but is not ready for it to get hot and heavy, as she has told him many times before. Ultimately, there is unfinished business that needs to be resolved between Emily and Dusty, but the situation gets complicated. Dusty is definitely not ready to give up on Em, but he's also strongly suspicious of Chris's possible role in Bob's illness, which leads to a deeper investigation.

Luke/Noah: This is a love story we are telling in real time. Luke and Noah are two teenagers in love for the first time. Noah is slowly accepting his new identity and Luke is helping him through that.

Gwen/Will: Sofie signs the adoption papers but that doesn't mean she won't rethink her decision. Meanwhile, the Munsons have disowned Barbara for her betrayal, but in January, Babs will get a diagnosis(mirroring portrayer Colleen Zenk-Pinter's real-life medical drama) that could change their feelings.

Casey: Fresh from jail, Casey will return with a new look on life. Indeed, time behind bars has had a major impact on the formerly happy-go-lucky guy, who will bond with another character who has a troubled past.

As part of the climax of the who's the daddy story, Meg will lose the baby. In a particularly cruel move, Paul will accidentally cause her to fall (while he's fighting with Craig after everyone learns the truth) so he will kill his own child. It will certainly be a dramatic episode, but, I don't know, it kind of leaves a sick feeling in my mouth.

Meg's worst nightmare comes true

Fresh from jail, Casey will return with a new look on life. Indeed, time behind bars has had a major impact on the formerly happy-go-lucky guy, who will bond with another character who has a troubled past.

Appearently Lily is going to find out that Dusty and Emily had sex which will really just make her feel terrible. Lily later tells Dusty and Emily that she will tell Chris everything. This is also going to really send Lily over the edge. The source also says that Holden won't be coming to her resuce to pick up the pieces.

After Lily learns that Dusty and Emily had sex with each other, she seeks comfort from Holden. Unfortunately, he is busy taking care of Bonnie. Lily becomes drunk and takes matters into her own hands, and takes someone to bed we would least suspect. Apparently this action leads to a huge blowup that starts the next chapter in the Dusty/Emily/Holden/Lily/Chris/Bonnie storyline that will ultimately lead to Dusty's exit.

I don't like Chris either. I was kinda thinking Jack was going to be at the farm and one thing would lead to another......But Dallas is all alone tonight too (he's too young though). Who else is in town? I'm really at a loss on this one.

Rosanna is terrified that Craig will spill the secret about the baby Paul is the father. Rosanna argues to Craig that if he wants to hold onto Meg, he must learn to love her baby. Meg wants to know why Craig's attitude toward the baby has changed. Nurse Jan tells Meg that a drug that causes miscarriage caused Craig's infection. Meg starts to put the pieces together.

Barbara learns she has cancer of the mouth.

Will and Gwen ask Aaron and Alison to be Hallie's godparents. Sofie says when she looks at Hallie, she still thinks of her as her baby.

Dusty tells Lily that he slept with Emily because he is in love with her.

Susan suggests that Bob would not approve of Chris' handling his medical care. Dusty finds Bob's cup with mysterious residue, and decides to get it analyzed. Emily insists to Dusty that she's staying with Chris. I HATE Chris!!

Holden asks Bonnie on a date but has to postpone when Faith calls, saying Lily forgot to pick her up.

I think shipping off Chris and Cassie is a great idea!

I found another board while doing searches on this-they are all debating who Lily will sleep with, too. One interesting option is Paul-since he and Rose were so great together. Some have mentioned Simon coming back. Some one even mentioned Noah-but surely not! Some even mentioned she might be raped. I don't think anyone really knows for sure. Craig was also mentioned, and part of me kinda likes this possibility. At least he wouldn't judge her!

Some one on the board also said a casting call has gone out for "Lacey"-a character who will interact with Paul. Many there think they may be recasting Lucy.

Wonder if Jack will decide down the line that he wants Carley back but by that time she has fallen for Sam.

We do all know that Katie is falling for Brad....you can see it in her eyes.
Even if she denyes it.

The new puppy is sooooo cute...would love for them to have a baby. think they would make a great family

Dusty is dead! I just read this on another site-no question they say-we'll see the body and they are not leaving a window for him to come back. This really sucks. Yes I know people come back from the dead all the time but I hate those storylines too. Chris is being kicked around as the killer (and Lily too) but I hope not. They already took a really nice character in Adam and turned him into a rapist-surely they won't make another Hughes a killer! Some are also guessing Evan, and guessing that Dusty figures out Evan is behind Bob's stroke instead of Chris. That makes more sense to me.

There is also a not so reliable rumor about recasting Andy. I want Andy back, but not as a recast. The old Andy is married to Carly, so I wish they would just bring him back and his adorable little girl-I don't really care if Denise comes back or not!

I'm just heat broken over my Dusty! Why not let him leave searching for Johnny or something?

I'm not liking very many storylines lately. I'm hoping they bring in some scab writers who have actually watched the show!

I've been searching other sites (my men are hunting and I'm bored out of my mind) and found out some more on Andy. Apparently they've been talking about recasting him for yrs-but Carly put her foot down. Apparently there is some bad blood between him and some higher ups. Anyway, I just read that he doesn't want to come back now. The recast seems like it is happening, and he will be a love interest for Bonnie. So I guess he and Denise are broken up. I just really don't like Bonnie and don't want to see anyone come on that will give her more airtime!

My original thought, when you first posted, with Lily was Craig. I just thought, "how come?" "why?' and thought silly thought that doesn't make sense. And now since he is breaking down well who knows. Definite possibility.

That Dusty news is awful. I just think that boy is too sexy. But I'm happy for the actor. It seems like his talents have been wasted for a long time on the show. Seems forever actually. I haven't felt like he has had anything to do since Jennifer. I have never got into him and Emily. At least the nostalgia, in the early flirtation, with Lily was a break.

I also think they have destroyed Paul/Meg/Craig/Rosanna and I no longer care. Too much back and forth.

I know. That never ever made sense to me no matter what they had the characters say. Given Jennifer's love for her son and Dusty's love for her I never understood why Johnny wasn't a major storyline for Dusty. Yes, I know he's safe from Craig. Yadda yadda. But geez. Another example of wasting Dusty's character.
