I heard that they will end Hal's story line today. Will gets a phone call about some accident. The rest of Oakdale finds out Monday about the tragedy.

I don't know why they waited so long to explain Hal's disappearance. I would have liked a real tribute to him.

I think Beatty's Family posted that there will be a proper tribute on the 23rd

I think with the TV trauma of Jennifer's death, storyline-wise it would have been too much for a Hal death too. Not to mention now the cast and crew have had a couple of months to grieve and maybe the funeral for "Hal" won't be quite as gut-wrenching for them.

good luck. These stories get confusing. You could try www.cbs.com and click on daytime. This thread is a great place to ask questions too. I have been watching for over 20 years and so have a lot of other posters.

Adam was his son with Margo from an affair

He basically adopted Jennifer- she was technically Barbara and Darryl's (Frannie's DH) child from an affair when Barbara was in Europe I think? But Hal raised her from day 1 I think.

I think the marriages are correct. He may have been married to Nikki's mother, but that was all before his character began his life in Oakdale.

He died by jumping in front of a kid who was about to be shot by a gang. He was married three times but also had Adam w/ Margo and Nikki w/ someone else who I don't think was ever on the show. He also considered Jennifer his daughter even though she was not his biological child.

I completely forgot to record it. Thank goodness my aunt records iteven if she is watching it. I have to call her.

The wikkipedia articles are pretty good, but a bit confusing even for me, and I've watched the show off and on for my entire life.

So what is everyone's fav ATWT moment/storyline?

my fav moment has to be Steve and Betsy's wedding.
Fav storyline has to be Tom and Margo getting together. She was having an affiar with James Steinbeck. tom was engagged to her Margo's aunt. An enemy of Jame's kidnapped Margo and Tom went to rescue her. It was a really strange story. The guy that had her was a midget and she was in the fun house type place.

Oh wow, I have so many favorite storylines!

I really liked the scenery when Emily and Royce were in Amalfi- stunning!

I loved it when Holden found Lily in Italy and she was singing, "I can't make you love me..."

I love a lot of Jack and Carly scenes- I cried a lot when he had lost his memory and she was trying so hard to make him remember their life together! And when Carly had Sage in Montana and then she and Jack got married.

I do remember that Tom and Margo storyline- it was a good one! I love Justin Deas & Margaret Colin as actors! I think they are married in real life- that chemistry was real!

I loved a lot of the Snyder storylines, out at the farm. I loved Kirk and Ellie together especially! And Seth and Angel- what a storyline she had! That was gripping!

And Lucinda in her glory days in the later 80s and early 90s- all her conniving and conning, and being a great bi*ch. She is one of my all time favorites on the show. I loved it when she and John decided to get married!

I thought the spa storyline was pretty good a few years ago- Rose, Carly and Emily in the spa set up by Babs and James....I love when ATWT shows the women bonding together and being friends than always bickering.

I cried today those last 20 minutes of ATWT....I could just kind of feel some of the actor's pain at the loss of their longtime friend. And to see Hal through the years- I never realized how, um, ugly some of his hair pieces were! He was a great actor, a wonderful asset to the show, and he will be missed.

I haven't watched it yet. Last night I knew I didn't want to cry.

Some of my older favorite story lines were (dang, my memory sucks because all of a sudden I can't remember!) Duncan, the castle and Shannon and all that. I know there was more that I was thinking of when reading your posts.

I remember Duncan and Shannon! They had some really kooky storylines. Also, remember when Steve and Betsy were on? Meg Ryan got her start on ATWT, she looked so young then!

I loved them! My favorite "OMG" moment of all time was when Duncan was married to Jessica after Shannon was killed in Africa (I think??) and she went out of town. Well, he gets a phone call from airport security- he needs to go pick up his wife. He shows up and walks into the room- AND SHANNON IS THERE!!! There were absolutely no spoilers- ATWT pulled off a complete shocker- the return from the dead of Shannon McCeckney (spelling??)!! AWESOME- my jaw dropped and I screamed at the TV!

I hated when they broke up Jessica and Duncan. The writers had promised they would be together for the long haul. They wanted to show long term the dificulties faced by inter-racial couples. However, what usually happens does. New writers come in and good stories get tossed
