yeah I am letting my girls help plan this one - they are so excited - they have already started "journals" with their notes so they know what they want to do on this next trip. My oldest daughter said she does NOT want to miss Rapunzel (we missed her last trip) so that is top of her list.

T

The Rapunzel meet is awesome. My sister and I did it last year (when they still had Flynn Rider-so disappointing they got rid of him!). We waited over an hour but it was definitely worth it. Did I mention we were 26 and 23 at the time? :rolleyes1 haha

We did the Rapunzel M&G in 2011, when they still had Flynn, and it was great! We did wait 1.5 hours, which my little ones were all to happy to do, but it was worth it.

We did Merida this year and that was fun too...her little bear brothers are a trip!

The other one we really like was Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen...that is one we kept missing until this year - it was awesome!!! My DD5 is very shy and Prince Naveen ran off and picked her a flower and really got her to warm up - I almost cried!!!

Just finished creating our photo book in the Photopass website for our July trip. LOVED going through all the pictures and reliving the most perfect trip! Then got sad because I've got 223 days until we are there again! :(

I miss Disney!!!!

Made the leap, and switched to AOA today. Now I'm a little more excited. Just wasn't excited about returning to POR, but way excited now.

I am hoping Merida will still be there next April. I love meeting the newer characters, and like they did with Flynn, you just never know how long they'll be around. I also learned my lesson with the Up characters (though I was able to make up for that one this past April since they had Dug and Russell at DAK).

Ohhh yes, Tiana and Naveen is another good one! My sisters and I loved meeting them too. :thumbsup2 We're from Wisconsin so they started talking about cheese. :lmao::rolleyes:

I'm driving myself crazy. I am now obsessed with staying at the Poly instead of AoA. Even though my kids will LOOOOOVE AoA and not be crazy about Poly at all. But *I* love the thought of being on the monorail, and I'm the one paying, so I should have final say, right? ;)
Of course we're still not going anywhere until we see if there's any reasonable airfare.
And I still don't know if we should do the Dream or not. I'm DYING to....but I don't want to take time away from WDW (DH is a teacher so we only have 1 week to go). I'm wondering if I could swing doing the cruise on Feb. vacation and then just WDW on April vacation. We'd have to find really really cheap airfare though to justify flying down there 2x in 2 months.
Basically, I know squat about this whole trip, lol. :confused3

ok, it must just be WAY too early to be booking flights, even for Feb. Nothing cheaper than $500/pp is coming up!
I've *always* waited 'til about 2-3 mos. before the trip to start pricing airfare so I think I'm just getting myself all worked up by looking so early.

My dad and I already booked our flights for April and it wasn't anywhere near that. Maybe because we did it the day Southwest extended their calendar to include April?

Has anyone tried kayak.com? What are hacker rates? If they are real there are some good prices out of LGA in NYC.

I say Yes! It's your money, so you get to decide. :p

Our DDs (especially DD8) really just want to stay at WL again. We all absolutely LOVED it. However, DH and I said long ago that we wanted to try all of the Disney resorts, so we must continue on our quest!!!! :cheer2:

The girls will get over it, and we reminded them that we could always leave them at home while we go to Disney if they are going to be ungrateful. :goodvibes. Miraculously, they are fine with YC/Poly now. :rotfl2:

I'm sorry...I know we've discussed this before....but you can't fly JB out of Boston??? Is that correct? I think you had a reason, but I can't remember...the fares are crazy good! I couldn't be happier! :dance3:

Airfare in general seems to be really high right now, no matter when you are booking for. Back in the spring I went ahead and bought tickets for us to visit my parents at Christmas, they were about $400/pp. They tried to tell me to wait, that it would get cheaper... Well those same tickets are now $900/pp and I'm really glad I didn't wait!

It's just so unpredictable. I hope it does come back down soon, we already have tickets for the next few trips we have planned, but most years we end up flying 3-4 times for various reasons, so it's going to get rough for us soon at this rate!

Are we arriving at YC on the same day? 4/18?

yes, we can fly JB, but the fares have been crazy -- like $700-$900/pp!! Delta's the only other airline that has rates out so far and they're not much better than JB.

What are your travel dates??? I just checked the flights we already booked for $950 (for 4) and they have now gone up $250....crazy!

the week of the 13th.... we could go down the 12th (night), 13th, 14th........ but it looks like coming back is the real problem $$$ wise (i tried pricing separate 1-way flights)

Oh yeah, we are!! We were initially arriving on the 20th, but bumped the whole trip forward a couple of days to get cheaper airfare :)

Ha! We were supposed to arrive on 4/20 too, but leaving on 4/18 brought the airfare down considerably....:thumbsup2

The only thing is that now our DD's are going to miss a day and a half of school...but as DH says...oh well!!! If the school district would like to pay the extra $500-$600 it would cost to fly out on Saturday, we'll make sure they're in class... :rotfl:

Ha, I'm sure they don't mind a bit :) My DD will technically miss 2 more days this way too, but she does an online school so we can reschedule our breaks pretty easily. The district does a 2 week spring break in March, we'll just have to work through part of that to make up the time.

Wow! I just looked and those fares are crazy!!! Is Massachusetts' school break that week...I'm assuming....?
