Hi!

I'm new to the board, and the disney madness. We're arriving at the AKL on April 26th and sticking around until the 2nd of May.

I haven't booked all my ADRs yet, but the hard to reserve ones are done (le Cellier and 'Ohana).

Anyway totally excited!:thumbsup2

Our honeymoon dates are almost the same as yours, April 24 until May 3. The last day of our honeymoon (May 2) will be our first anniversary. So, our honeymoon will be almost a year late.

How (super) late is yours?

I never made a countdown calendar, and my DD made one just by writing out the numbers and crossing them off. But she got a little ahead, LOL. 15 days until we leave for FL, and 17 days until WDW! ACK!

Almost the same!

We're about 1.5 years out from the wedding date.

Me and my husband are going down April 22-28
its kinda of an anniversary trip, our 3rd wedding anniversary is on march 14th but unable to travel at that time.
We'll be staying at POP! Century (first time at this resort)
7 day ticket - no hopper
and the regular dining plan for the first 5 nights (6th night is a room only res)

we are still debating on weather to rent a car or not. We've never used the magical express before, we always rented a car. I like to be on my own schedule and being able to leave from the park to the airport, but i don't want to spend the extra cash :confused3

I personally like to stay in the parks so we don't have to worry about "paying" to rent a car and dealing with driving and parking it. I would rather take the bus and not have to worry where I parked the car and having to walk miles to get to it. Most bus' drop you off near the front entrances. But again this is my opinion on rental cars.:wave2:

Officially 4 weeks out today and for some reason, I have been worrying like crazy that my family will come down with the stomach bug either right before or during the trip. Ughhh. I know I have zero control over it happening or not, but it is constantly on my mind.

Sometimes I think because I have overplanned and counted down for this trip for so long (and probably won't be back for at least several years), I just think it's destined to happen. I made the mistake of reading trip reports of people who went in Feb and Mar and ended up sick.

Maybe I should stop planning anything and just not think about it until the day we leave. LOL

Got my Magical Express tags last week; and my Disney booklet today! It says that they'll give us the tickets at check-in. What happens if we do online check-in?

They will be added to your KTTW card or RFID bracelet or whatever they are using when we all get there. Unless you bought your tickets from an outside source you wont have a paper ticket that you hand in at the turnstiles.

I can't stop singing that song! FIFTEEN DAYS....CAN'T TAKE IT MUCH LONGER! UGH!

OK, I am glad I'm not the only one because as soon as we hit the one month mark I immediately thought of this song. :rotfl::rolleyes1

Anyon have any thoughts on this day as far as a park is concerned?? I am planning on MK per EasyWDW BUT Touring plans has this is a park to avoid and the busiest part for the day ????? Thanks

I got Mickey Mail!!! Yay!!!

Sorry...lol. I'm overly excited because last time we booked with a TA and never received it. This time I changed my ressie after the 45 day mark so I got it twice! Haha!!

32 days for us!

Expecting new DME mail after changing resorts this past weekend. Not sure if I will get new resort mail but looking for it anyway. 24 days!!!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

So, DH isn't deploying after all. He may still volunteer for one before the year is up (he's in a unit that doesn't deploy, which is part of the reason it was weird that he got mobilization orders in the first place). Disney is safe though!

Online check-in still requires you to go to a desk and pick up a packet of stuff which will include your room key & tickets.

Touring plans has a policy that causes them to make each park the "best" park once a week. For this reason, sometimes their recommended park isn't actually the best overall, but the the only time it will be better than the rest of the week. They also say that having a good touring plan is 5 times more important than which park which day.
Other than that I have no idea, but I would pick one calendar and go with it.

We are patiently awaiting the arrival of our Mickey Mail, but since my mom booked this trip as a TA through her host agency, it has to be sent to them first.

Also waiting for my Magical Ribbons so I can start shopping for outfits...I'm coordinating! :upsidedow

Yay!! Very happy that Disney is safe for you :) Having all of your plans suddenly up in the air is a horrible feeling.

DH has thrown me a curve ball this week too- he walked in on Monday night and casually announced that his company is (once again) considering closing his office here in Colorado. If they do, he will either have to become a remote employee working from home (which he really doesn't want to do), or we would have to move to San Francisco (assuming they offer relocation benefits, which they probably would).

We went through this a year ago, and I was in a total frenzy for a whole month waiting for the "decision" to be made by tptb, and it actually felt a little anti-climactic when they decided to keep the office after all. I think I'm handling it a little better this time around, but DH isn't all of the sudden! He is such a ball of stress that he has been impossible to be around for 48 hours, lol! I'm just choosing to focus on Disney instead. With only 5 weeks left until we leave (yay!!!!), NOTHING is going to interfere with this trip! (Hopefully I didn't just jinx it, ha!)

I'm hoping for Mickey Mail soon- our mail seems to always be a little slow here, but maybe by this weekend at least :) Can't believe we are almost under a month already, where has the time gone???

OMG....could time possibly go any slower!!:confused3 This is the longest 30 day countdown ever.:lmao:

OMG, me too. After all the counting down, and sooo much money, this is all I can think of too. I have been online for the past 2 days researching which hand sanitzers and disinfecting sprays kill norovirus, and everything else. I just now ordered Clorox spray for the room after finding out Lysol DOESnt kill noro, and ordered clorox hand sanitizer spray too since thats the only one they say kills it. NOW I feel prepared and not going to read anymore:rotfl:

Well, I hope he calms down enough to enjoy your trip! I hate uncertainty, and there's a lot of it in the military.
