This may sound like crazy but how do you check when the refund is supposed to be in?
We did our taxes and I am anxiously waiting for it to be in so I can officially book our trip( driving me nuts Bc I need to make adrs!! Lol)
They said it could take up to 21 days but is love to see a date when it should be deposited:)
Thank you!
Ours was just accepted on Jan 50th, so they're being very quick about it.
If you go to Wheres my refund page (IRS) you will be able to get up to date info there on your refund.

Question for you!!! Do your taxes include mortgage interest and student loan stuff by any chance???

I haven't bothered to do our taxes yet, because per all of the financial articles, you can't file until late February if you're filing those forms....:confused3

But, if you can, I'm going to do it!
No, they didn't.....sorry :(

We filed on January 30th and today the "Where's My Refund" page said our refund would be deposited on February 7th.

Did yours include a mortgage interest deduction??? I'm not trying to be nosy, I am just trying to find out if I'm reading things wrong... :confused3

If it's any help, we did not itemize this year. Not sure if that makes a difference. I know we entered the mortgage interest from the 1099, but IRS accepted and approved our return. I wish I could be more helpful...just don't know enough about it.

We did have a mortgage interest form.

Ok, thanks! Than I am probably hearing wrong. My friend admits she could be wrong, so....:upsidedow

This is the 1st year that we are doing our taxes ourselves since our accountant retired. We don't have the most complicated tax issues, just standard deductions....I want to make sure we do it right.

Ooooooo.....so excited. Refund will be deoposited on Feb 6th. Dear Lord, thank God. Now I can truly do the happy dance.:banana::banana::woohoo:

Same here:yay::woohoo::cheer2::dance3::cool1: Just checked and we also have a deposit date of 6th!!! Looks like trip will be PIF wednesday!!!

Go on irs.gov, and theres a link "where's my refund". You will need ssn, filing status (single, married, etc), and exact amount of refund you are expecting. It will give you the status.

We are also doing weekly Disney movie nights! So far, the boys and I have watched:

The Lion King
The Little Mermaid
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Toy Story 3
Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty
Finding Nemo
Wall-E
Aladdin
Pinocchio
Fantasia
Fantasia 2000
Beauty & the Beast
Cars
Cars 2
Mulan
Winnie the Pooh (1977)
Winnie the Pooh (2011)
Alice in Wonderland
Monsters Inc.
101 Dalmations
A Bug's Life
Brave
Tinkerbell
The Jungle Book
Hunchback of Notre Dame
Meet the Robinsons
Bolt
The Aristocats
Snow White
Ratatouille

Still to come: Peter Pan, Tangled, Princess & The Frog, Dumbo, Lilo & Stitch, Lady and the Tramp, The Incredibles, Sword in the Stone, Brother Bear and Pirates of the Caribbean if we judge the boys can handle it with some editing. ;) (I wish I'd been able to find Robin Hood!)

Yeah ... I go a little crazy. :rotfl2: We don't own all those; I had friends loan them to us when they heard we were going to Disney and I wanted to start up movie nights.

Someone earlier said the cheer/dance competitions were only an issue if the participants are staying at your resort. Which resorts do they usually stay at? I'm thinking AoA is probably safe, but just curious. :cheer2:

We've used TurboTax for the last ten years and so far, everything has gone smoothly.

I am freaking out! We filed our taxes on January 30 and they aren't accepting ones that have education credits yet! We were banking on having our refund by Feb 21, when our trip has to be paid for. The earliest they said we would get it back is Feb 22. Does Disney ever work with people who cannot pay 45 days ahead? We need like 30 days ahead. :( :(

Do you have the dining plan? You could always remove it and/or change your ticket to 1 day passes to lower the amount due, then add them back after you get your refund

Yes, we have the dining plan. Might have to think about your idea. We could not afford to go without our taxes.

My friend did just as TJDisneymama said. She had a package booked, due by 3/4 and because she isn't sure she will get her return in time to pay it off, she switched to a room only and will just buy her tickets at the resort if she had to. But, if she ends up getting the return she will switch back to the package. :goodvibes
