I couldn't fall asleep so I worked on my LGMH that will go on my backpack. Here it is!

Nice! I stopped by to look and our local Home Depot is completely out of the Lime Greens! I wonder why that is? I'll have to check the other locations.

I know this will sound like a stupid question- but what is an LGMH???

Lime Green Mickey Head. Sort of a secret handshake among DISers. People have been using the "Alien Green" Disney Paint Color swatch samples from Home Depot which are shaped in the shape of a Mickey head and tag their backpack or decorate their windows with them.

I've been having trouble sleeping too and when I lay down, my mind keeps whirring about Disney and I hear Disney music playing in my head! Only one thing will cure it, and for me it's 20 days away!! Love the LGMH! Reminds me to get mine done.

BTW is Falls Church in Virginia? I have two DD who live in Virginia one in Leesburg and one in Aldie.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to do online check in or not ~ but, if I decide to, how do I do it?!

And here is my random thought for the day ~
We have ressies for both CRT and Akershus on our trip. We've been to both before (several years since CRT) and enjoy them ~ with three girls a princess meal is a must do for us. But I just wanted to mention something that I noticed today (sorry if this is old news), but I often read ppl recommending CRT over Akershus due to price. However, today I was pricing everything out to get an idea of how much cash I need for tips. CRT will only cost us around $5 more (for dinner at least) because tip is included at CRT and it's not at Akershus.

Thanks! I googled and found Walt Disney Fonts available for free downloads!

This will be the first time I'm trying the LGMH. From reading on the DIS, most people who do this have not been approached by other fellow DISers. I'm trying this mostly so that people who I have been chatting with on DIS can recognize me!

I remember receiving an email from Disney with a reminder and a link to check in online. But if you don't, I think you just have to pull up the resort reservation online on the Disney website and there should be a link for online check in once you're in the 10 day window.

I just figured it out, lol. I went ahead and did online check in. A little bummed b/c after I entered my request, it said that it couldn't add or process it (something like that) and to call. It is already noted on my reservation, so hopefully it won't be a big deal. If we don't get the building we want, that's okay...we just really want a patio or balcony so DH and I can hang out while we get the girls to sleep. If we don't have one at check-in, we will be willing to wait for a room with one, so hopefully it won't be a big deal!

Hi fellow Aprilers!! I am feeling SO much more relaxed going into this years trip than last years. I am still a little nervous about us all being in a standard hotel room, (secretly I am looking forward to watching our little boys sleep), but worried DH is going to have little tolerance.

I have all the boys shorts and shirts packed in gallon zips, just need to add underwear and socks... have not even started anyone else!

I also decided today that I am not going to do the "grand welcome". I had planned on sneaking into the room before the boys and setting it up, with just gifts of candy and personalized blankets I made for them... but since we are taking the auto train, they will need the blankets on the train. So, I am going to have Mickey and Minnie 'mail' the blankets to them next week!

I have a room only ressie for one night followed by package for 5 nights... would on-line checkin in compromise our chances to get the same room for both reservations at PORFQ?

I'm joining the party a little late, but we are going to Disney for the first time from the 15th-20th! I'm so excited. I've been wanting to go since I was six or seven so I can't believe it's almost here.

It's just me, my hubby and our six year old son going, and we are staying at the Beach Club. I wanted it to be a surprise, but I was too excited to keep it a secret so he has known about it since we booked our trip in January. The good thing with that is that when his behavior isn't what I'd like it to be I can threaten to not go to Disney, although I'm starting to suspect he knows I won't really act on it

We're leaving for the World this coming Sunday. Can't wait to take my DD(just turned 1) for her first trip there! We're staying at POR for the first time and we're looking forward to DD's first haircut at the Main St. Barber Shop, Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and the Hoop De Doo Revue.

I have a question about the LGMHs. I had forgotten about them and even though I lurk mainly on the boards, I would like to have some so others could recognize us. I saw where FallsChurch was going to put one on a backpack. How would I make these and is there a way to do decorations on our resort door? Thanks! Hopefully I'll meet some DIS folks down there.

I don't have any experience with decorating resort doors/windows. But the way I made my backpack LGMH was: 1) Picked up two Alien Green Disney Paint swatches from Home Depot, 2) Peeled off each of the Mickey Heads from the swatches, 3) Glued the two Mickey Heads, 4) Downloaded Walt Disney Font online and printed my username on Avery Clear Labels and placed label on Mickey Head, 5) Placed Mickey Head in self adhesive laminating ID pouch. Hope that helps!

I've been wondering - do you think Home Depot employees across the country ask themselves why they keep running out Alien Green colored swatches, but no one ever actually buys the paint itself?

I bought the LGMH for our first trip in Oct, but never did anything with them or wore them. I know I've mentioned a million times, but the rain really threw me off last time. Dave, thanks for the detailed description. I might just have to do this. Although I think most of you are back before I even go!

Does anyone have any pictures of decorating their window? I'm in a DVC unit, so would that just be decorating my balcony window?
