Ha..we are staying at the Hyatt harbor side.. It is an airport hotel but do gorgeous cause it's right on the water.. And yes, it is marathon Monday also known here in Boston as Patriots day so hubby doesnt have to work.. We will be hanging in Boston for the day... :woohoo:

We are leaving tues. on JetBlue.. Are you leaving tues? If you are then we will probably be on ME together..

Getting closer and closer! My mom came over on Sat to visit the grand dogs; she'll be staying here whilecwe're gone. DBF booked our airport long term parking. I don't think there's much else to do, but wait and pack. Oh, and clean the house for my moms stay!

Some of the early April visitors should be coming back soon. Hopefully they come visit with wonderful stories!!

Can't wait until Wednesday when we check into AKL and smell that lobby! Relax by the pool and have dinner at Boma  so excited our plane arrives at MCO at 9:22 AM!!!!! :woohoo:

Happy Easter to all April DISers :flower3:

I am so jealous that you are staying at AKL. The girls I'm traveling with for my girls trip didn't want to do a deluxe, so I'm really going to miss AKL and that smell. At least I get to visit for dinner at Jiko one night!

We leave in two weeks and I still haven't gotten my Magical Express booklet. I've gotten the vacation package info, (had to call them because they forgot the yellow luggage tags) but still no Magical Express info.

When should I be getting this?? I thought I would have it by now! When did you all get yours?

The yellow luggage tags come in the ME envelope. Did you call them to find out what's going on? If you don't get them you can still use ME. You just check in at the counter and they will print you your ME tickets for the bus. And tell them what flight you were on, give them the info from the tags that the airline puts on your bags and they will get your bags from the flight for you. :thumbsup2 But I do hope you get your stuff in time so you don't have to wait in a line!

Well, I'm back after a wonderful week at the World. Crowds weren't too bad the first couple of days, but boy did it start getting packed toward the end!

Unfortunately, back to reality!

1 more week for me as well! One week from right now, we will be sitting at the airport (probably playing pinball in the arcade if my DH has anything to do about it) waiting for our flight!

I am flying Delta next week. Does anyone know if this means I can check in now, or within 24 hours of the flight:

"You can check in for your flight up to 24 hours prior to departure time."

My Dad says that normally you can check in within 24 hours, but this is worded to make me think that you can check in anytime up to 24hours before. So confused! :confused3

Welcome back scott2997! Hope you had a great time.

I just used regular glitter, but fabric glue. Used a small paint brush to brush on the glue where I wanted it then added the glitter and patted it down, let it sit a few minutes then dumped it. Oh, and I only used one color of glitter at a time, so I could put the left over glitter back.
I got the idea from another Diser who posted her pictures a while ago on the creative board and I ran with it.
I have more shirts and will try to post them later today.

Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2 Also loved the bags!

I'm 15 days away from being there! HOWEVER, I don't feel as excited as I know I should be. Why is that? It's our first trip. Just DH and I. No suitcases out yet, nothing organized for packing, NOTHING. What is wrong with me??? :confused3

I agree that you just don't know how special your experience will be and how unique Disney is. Hopefully you've done your homework and will have some sort of plan while you're there. If you haven't already done so, please take the time to familiarize yourself with each park layout. That will help enormously to make your visit smoother. You are going to have a ball and I hope you'll come back to our thread and tell us all about it.:goodvibes

Ive been meaning to post all week but I have to share this story. Yesterday the girls bailed on me in Wolrd Showcase so I decided to do some character hunting. I got to Aladdin and Jasmine and Aladdin and I bumped heads going kn for a hug. He was all "We almost kissed right there!" And there was much flirting., even after Jasmine scolded him. My girls were jealous when I told them so we went back today after lunch in France. I was pretty sure I recognized Aladdin if you know what I mean.

We get up there and he immediately grabs my hand. "We met yesterday! We nearly kissed!" And he urns to the girls and tells them I made his whole day and how great I am and then hugs me like four times. We go to do pics and he pulls me between him and Jasmine and then tells the photopass woman to do one more picture - and then steals a kiss on my cheek in the photo.

Its crazy crowded right now. I'm totally amazed he remembered me.

That is the coolest thing ever! Love it!:yay:

You should have gotten it by now. I would call. Good luck!

AWWWW - Next Sat evening we are telling DD's friend she is going and we are going to try go get it on video. We all think her reaction will be like this - Open box, see invitation to Disney - look at her mom like "what is this" then read it a couple of times, then say "REALLY?" then when it sinks in we think she is going to start screaming.

I can so picture this! Hope it goes as planned. Keep us posted.popcorn::

Welcome back. What was the best part of your trip? I already know the worst part was leaving for home, right?

Welcome back scott2997! Hope you had a great time.

It means you can check in just 24 hours before your flight time, no sooner. ;)

Best part of the trip for me was seeing my DD's eyes light up everytime she met a princess or a prince.

We were able to get a picture and autograph from every princess! Even at crowd levels in the 9's and 10's!

Single digits tomorrow! :woohoo: I can not wait to get back to my second home!!!! I just need to get through flying there first! :sad2:

just 4 more days but I'm no longer excited after being so excited and counting down for 1 year. I just found out the yacht club pool is mostly closed so now I don't even know where we're staying and we will be there in 4 days.

Oh, no!! That stinks...I'm sorry you are having to deal with that. Are you switching your reservations?

How is everyone's packing going? I thought this trip would be so much easier to pack for ~ we have always gone in January so I had to pack so much to cover the crazy weather. But due to the heat, I am still packing so much ~ several extra clothes/outfits b/c I feel like the days we take a mid-day break (which will be almost every day), I know we will go through 2 sets of clothes a day (just can't put sweaty clothes back on after taking a break to swim). At least they aren't as bulky I guess...

haven't switched yet, this was my daughter's graduation gift and now she's in her room crying because she has been wanting to stay at the Yacht Club for 8 yrs since our last stay there when she was little. Our choices at this point are the Boardwalk which the pool will be crowded due to them shuttling the YC and BC people over there, or the Polynesian which isn't the area we wanted to be in, I built my week around being in the Epcot area and have dining reservations at the Yacht and Beach club. This changes the entire vacation for us and only gives us a day or 2 to make a decision.

What a pain...I get what you're saying about wanting to stay in the original area. Could you stay at YC and use another resorts pool? I would assume Disney is letting YC guests go elsewhere to use pools (since they did for other resort pool refurbs). Obviously not ideal, though.

they are shuttling to the Boardwalk Pool but for what you pay at the Yacht Club it just really takes away from a lot of the reasons for staying there. We are leaning toward switching to the Boardwalk because we won't be looking at the construction and won't have to be shuttled every time we want to swim and while swimming it's nice to know your room is right there if you need something. And this way we wouldn't be giving up being in the Epcot area although I've gotta say, the Boardwalk doesn't compare to the Yacht Club atmosphere. I guess if I had more than 4 days to prepare for this it may not be as upsetting but right now we have to make a decision and knowing that staying at the YC wouldn't be the same experience under the circumstances has taken a lot away from this vacation for us in such a short notice. Even if I thought we'd be going back again sometime soon I wouldn't mind but since my daughter will be in college I'm thinking that may not happen so we may never get the chance to stay at the YC again as a full family.

Oh, I've definitely done my homeword :thumbsup2 I've got all kinds of lists and cheat sheets to take with me, so we'll be good there. DH and I are in our mid-40s and we really are excited. I'm now 12 days out and ready to jump out of my skin with excitement. The other day, I just wasn't feeling all that excited, but I'm so glad that horrible feeling has passed :lmao: I will definitely come back and let you all know how it was. I thank God I found this Board and got so many great hints, tips and suggestions from everyone here. I am officially addicted to the DIS and I know I'll still lurk everyday even after our trip :thumbsup2 Thanks everyone, you all rock! :worship::worship::worship:

My packing isn't going well at all. The first half of my vacation will be in WDW which is supposed to be about 90 the entire time. The second half of my vacation will be spent in the Tennessee mountains and it's much, much cooler there. So I basically need to pack a wardrobe for two different climates.

Good thing we're driving, I can bring more than if I had to try to get it onto a plane. :)
