Everyone has a bad day.

I totally agree since I have flown off the handle more times than I care to admit but if it is the same CM I had this woman wasn't irritable she was down right abusive from the min. she picked up the phone.she literally stunned me into silence (not any easy feat) and was very rude, cruel and sarcarstic .she needs a new job and a few decades of anger management therapy

Anybody have an idea on what Disney is offering for SOG guests? Planning a trip in Feb, but as SOG is closed till March, was wondering if anyone knew of any other deals Disney was offering in place of SOG rates...

Call SOG directly - they are using the Garden Wing of CR. It is great! Disney does not offer anything to SOG. What they have done is to block off rooms for them (probably leased) at the CR. If the CR is full you will be given your choice of another resort at an SOG rate (not the same rate as SOG, but definately better and more along the lines of AP or FL resident rates). We stayed at FtW cabins this way. I am not entirely sure CR needs to be full for you to be able to get an SOG rate at another resort - its just what happened to us and many others here at the board.

On with the discussion:

I am a newbie to this site and wish to say hey to all. My family and I have been going to WDW since 1976. Can remember watching Epcot being built. Have stayed at most hotels on property but am looking foward to my stay at the new Pop Century in FEB 04. Also waiting for Ap rates. Does anyone know if they give AP rates during peak season

Just wondering if anybody would like to have a thread specifically for the AP rate watch? (Not AP rate discussion) I've never encountered a rude cast member at Disney, and just want the AP rate facts. (With all due respect for the right to conservate about anything on the DIS!!)

Just an idea to keep the facts about the rates and the discussion seperate.:D

Any thoughts?

:) The ongoing discussion may well be the element that keeps this thread bumped up near the top, and attracts more people to contribute. :)

If I have offended or inconvienced anyone with my comments regarding the situation today when I called about the AP rates, I apologize. It wasnt my intent!! I will do my best in contributing to this thread only information that states my results in acquiring a rate from here on. Good Luck Everyone!

Called November 14th at 7:10.

See my post every day for the past week. Not Yet. :(

SO happy on becoming a DVC member. This is driving me nuts.

Just want to say THANK YOU Magsmom for your quick posts. I don't know what I would do without you. I've been running late getting my twins ready for school and havent been able to get to the phone. Your posts are there before I can get to the phone - so I just want to say thanks!:teeth:

P.S. - I'm so jealous about your DVC ownership! Congrats - If only I could convert my husband to a Disney Geek too.

JMHO..... I think the discussion occurs as we all check in each day waiting for official news on AP rates. I enjoy the discussion but if some just want the pure facts then only check the thread once in the morning as that is when the factual postings occur. I also agree with the idea that our discussion keeps the thread bumped up on the first page. Discussion is also a natural vent to the worry and frustration of the waiting game.

Again, thanks to those who have been calling regularly. I am waiting for late Feb. AP rates which probably won't be in the upcoming block released but I still appreciate being kept informed.:sunny:

Well I like all the discussion!!! :)
PLease don't make me look at another thread at 6am in the morning.
My anxious heart can't take it. :hyper:

I agree!! With the search feature not always working, it is nice to be able to find this on page one or two!

Chat On!

If you click on the last page portion in the name of the thread, you can bypass most of what you have already read and get the latest threads that would apply to the current day. Good luck!

:bounce:
I was wondering if anyone knows when the AP discount comes out what months they come out for? I am thinking on a May vacation but I am not sure if the AP discount is just 1 month at a time or do they put the AP discount out for 2 or 3 months in advance or 6 months in advance, etc...? Thank You for any information....

Not today, Saturday, November 15.
Figured rates would not be released today but you never know.

Thanks magsmom for checking daily.....this is the first thing I do each morning!!
Waiting patiently.....

The wait is driving me crazy. Glad I'm booked at the Swan at a price I can afford. This trip I have to convince DH that we should be DVC'ers.:grouphug: group hug for everyone waiting for rates!
