Oh God! I really hope that week 7 isn't true that will just suck.

I think it's basically been confirmed that it's her songs by reliable sources on the Idol board, I go to.

Does that mean no one can do "Open Arms" since it's not technically a Mariah song?

i just watched last night's idol (taped it) and as much as i'm a fan of dolly parton, i thought the entire episode was boring.

not a big fan of country music, but geez - some of them slaughtered dolly's songs - not one in particular, but most.....

poor dolly - and she's so nice, she wouldn't say anything bad about them - at least, not to their faces!

This week on DWTS they predicted someone to be safe that went home.

My review:

I'm not a fan of country music or Dolly Parton so I didn't know very many songs last night but I still enjoyed the show, one of the best all around shows since the 1st Beatles week.

What was wrong with Simon tonight???? I thought it was very mean to critisize Carly' clothes last night.

Brooke White – I like Brooke, she's my favorite girl and I though she did ok. I agree with Simon (the only time tonight), she acted like she was just trying to get through the song, no emotion.

David Cook – He did good for a song about sparrows, LOL!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to David and his family.

Ramielle Malubay – Did nothing for me. I'm hoping she goes home tonight.

Jason Castro – loved it as always. I think Randy became a "dreadhead" tonight - first time all season that he said he finally "believed Jason"

Carly Smithson – Carly is a really good singer, she's just not my favorite girl.

David Archuleta - the boy wonder, need I say more.

Kristy Lee Cook – Unfortunately I think Kristy is going to sneak by again tonight. I HATE her talking back to Simon.

Syesha Mercado - I thought it would be worse than what it actually was. It was just ok.

Michael Johns – Surprise, surprise, I really liked his performance tonight.

Dolly uses sparrows as an analogy for feeling small and broken, Eagle when she flies also uses the sparrow analogy, she is a sparrow when she is broken but she is an EAGLE when she flies. Hopefully this will help everyone understand this song a little more. This is why I got so aggravated at Simon last night most of Dolly's songs are stories so by taking almost 2 min. out of each of the songs its hard to know the song. Several of the songs the contestants sang were written by Dolly about pivotol moments in her life.

DC did a song about a sparrow I mean a women and did ok. I don't think anyone is gonna accuse them of being gay or anything just because they have to sing about a girl in love with a guy. They guys will do fine. Also isn't it a pop star that AI searches for anyway....
