when did you see kelly? one of my favorite bands (Rooney) opened for her at one time, i think.

I saw Kelly December 2nd of last year on her My December tour. She toured with Jon McClaugin.

I am going to Disneyworld in Dec.....13-21st to be exact....I played with that or a cruise as we have never cruised before but Disney won out.....

You should think of a DISNEY cruise for the future! They are SO much fun, and so relaxing. My Grandmother brought DH and I on a land/sea package and we have loved cruising ever since. (of course we have only cruised on DCL... But we love it!) (we usually spend a few nights at disney prior!)

Oh... to stay on topic... Plan your Disney cruises for the fall... To avoid missing American IDOL!

wow....bad hair day for me, too. man...that was just a REALLY bad day. everytime i meet my favorite "celebrities" i'm sick, it's really aggrivating, because i look like hell in the photos. my picture with Jared Padalecki is the same way and i was REALLY angry about that one! i actually had to PAY for that photo!

That is not how I'd picture you Kristy. Where are the devil horns? Though you sure do match your screen name, a little Irish chick. Maybe it should be Lucky Irish Chick if you've had your picture taken with Ace and Jared!!!! I think you look cute in your picture, you can't tell your sick at all... except maybe love sick.

My favorite for sure has been Kelly. Not really a big daughtry fan. I can tolerate Carrie but only in small doses.

I haven't watched the past seasons as much as this one. But I was a huge Daughtry fan. I'm married to a hot bald man, so I had to root for him. I really didn't like the show so much after Fantasia won. Her singing annoyed me.

Have you ever gone before in December? I went in Dec. 2001 and it's still my favorite trip to this day. The decorations are great and the MVMCP is a lot of fun

I have a co worker who is the BIGGEST Supernatural fiend, ever!! She has a website for them and everything. She got me hooked by giving me the first season as a gift.... YIKES!! Jared and Jensen are my Mike and Dave of TV!!!

So...I'm just going say that I hate I missed last night's conversation. Kristy and Mandy I love the photos. They're great!!

Dan I'm jealous that you'll be in WDW for Christmas. I want to do that one year. I've heard the first week of December is crazy busy but the rest of the month is OK.

I own ALL of Kelly's and Clay's cds (including Christmas ones). I also own cd's by Carrie and Daughtry. Chris D. is written into my marriage contract. If he shows up at my front door I'm allowed to have my way with him

My DH shaves his head too. Though he and I talked about if David Cook could do that and after seeing his baby pictures, I don't think it'd work. Not unless he grew into that big head. Plus, he's too boyish good looking. I think you have to be more manly, like Daughtry (and my DH) to pull off the bald head.

My FAVORITE Idol contestants would be Chris Daughtry (obviously), Bo, Ace and now David Cook.

Okay you guys... wow, this thread is SMOKIN' while I'm sleepin'....

Cute pics, Mandy and Kristy!! I love that one with Kimberly Locke, she is sooo cute.

My faves from the previous years are easy... I chose every winner except Carrie, I was Bo fan.

This year I don't WANT my faves to win, since it seems to be the Achilles Heel.

My least favorites? I couldn't stand Kellie during the show but like her afterwards, A LOT! I am not a fan of Carrie but do like some of her songs! I think I wrote that "Before He Cheats"!!

I liked Clay more AFTER the show, too, but never really disliked him, just LOOOOOVED Ruben so much! Still do!

This year I like more people than any previous year. Of course my two boyfriends.. Oooo and LaLa..... but I also love Jason I'm really liking Brooke and I like Ramiele's voice, even though her personality makes me nauseous ... The studio version of Alone was awesome.

I'm so glad they're putting out the studio versions this year. It makes you just sit down and LISTEN. Sometimes during the show I'm distracted by the background singers, the bad levels and the audience. It's also distracting if they wear something HORRENDOUS, so to listen to it later takes away the distractions. I don't have to see Brookes yellow dress and her GET DOWN moves... ... David A's tongue or Syesha's total lack of connection with me ... just LISTEN. It makes a difference.

I'm also liking a lot more people this season. I think this is actually the most I've ever really gotten into the show. Maybe it's because I have this thread now. I don't know. But I like DC, Carly, Brooke, Michael, David A. (although lately not as much), Syesha (although lately not as much), Jason.

If David Cook shaved his head...haha...that would be awful. I don't like the comb forward but it's growing on me, I guess. I like it better than the faux hawk he had in Omaha.

My husbands hair is thinning but I won't let him shave his head. It would NOT look good...haha. Some people, like DC, just can't pull off that look.

Question to all - Since the beginning of American Idol this season...have your opinions changed about any of the contestants?

During the original auditions round, no one really stood out to me. I didn't have any favorites or anything. In Hollywood, I started to like Brooke and David A. I also liked Syesha a lot after she belted out a song while really sick. I really didn't take much notice to anyone else. Except I do remember enjoying David Cook's version of "Everything I Do" but he still wasn't very memorable to me. I was worried he was too much like Daughtry for my liking.

I have an online blog and I went back to see what I wrote when the top 12 girls and top 12 guys performed. I said David Cook was "okay" and that he had a creative interpretation of the song. I said I "loved" David A. "Loved" Jason. And I thought Michael was "not great." Fast forward to now - I LOVE David Cook. I still enjoy David A. but he's really slipping on my list. Jason is okay but getting kind of boring. And I like Michael a lot more. Some of his songs have been pretty good.

Even though I liked Brooke in Hollywood, on the top 12 girls show, I said "bland. looks old." I said that I thought Carly or Syesha could win and that I loved them. Fast forward to now - I enjoy Brooke a lot of the time (other times, she annoys me.) I still really like Carly but probably not as much as before. And I still like Syesha's voice but she's not the best performer out there. I don't think she'll win.

Pretty much everyone else...I feel the same about. The ones I really hated in the beginning...I still hate.

Season One

- I really liked Kelly from when I started to watch the show. I actually didn't start to watch it, my kids were. I was in the living room and heard her singing and said"who is that and what are you watching?" and I've been hooked ever since.

Season Two

I liked Clay from his auditions. I was really happy he got in and made it to the finals. I was actually happy with the top 3 and would have been ok with any of them winning, but I did buy Clay's CD and not the other 2...so I guess I was a Clay fan.


Season Three

Didn't like any of them at all this year. I voted but I voted for who stunk the least.


Season Four

I voted for Carrie a lot. I have both her CD's and they are really good.


Season Five

I think I voted for Kat most of the time. I liked Taylor more for his enthusiasm then his singing. Didn't think he would go over big if he won.


Season Six

I liked Jordin, I thought she had a good voice. The one song she did sent chills down my spine. I haven't bought her CD yet, but I just might.

Season Seven


So far I like David Cook and Brooke the best. But I also like Carly (even though I didn't want to) and I do like David A too. I also like Jason. I don't get the MJ love (although this week he did ok) at all. Not sure why he just rubs me the wrong way.

Season 2 - didn't vote, no favorites

Season 3 - didn't vote, no favorites

Season 4 - Constantine Maroulis

Season 5 - Bucky Covington and Chris Daughtry

Season 6 - didn't vote but wanted Blake to win

Season 7 - Jason Castro (the hometown boy)

I own Daughtry's CD; Bucky's CD and Constantine' solo CD and Pray for the Soul of Betty CD.

Constantine' CD I only listened to once, was very disappointed that he made a POP CD - YUK!! Loved Pray for the Soul of Betty - he should of stayed with the band.

Love Bucky's voice so I love his CD even though it's country and I usually hate all things country.

I've downloaded bunch of MP3's over the years of IDOL performances. I have all of Constantine' and Bucky' and Daughtry' performances, one performance from Ace Young, I have all of Jason' from this year and I have some of Blake Lewis' from last season and one from David Archuletta - Imagine; David Cook' Eleanor Rigby and Hello.

I did not like DC at all when it first started. But since "Hello" he has really impressed me.

I liked MJ but he is now heading towards the bottom of my list. Just not getting it with him.
