Official American Idol Season 7: Top 10 to ??

Come live here, you can only take small doses of certain artists with the overplay and trust me they overplay her and taylor swift. They don't even play Rodney Atkins as much as Carrie and he's a hometown boy.

But Rodney is not in the same league as Carrie.

I like Rodney but Carrie is the hottest thing around right now and taylor is getting there...But I understand about overplay it does wear you out of hearing a song

I saw Kelly but that's the first concert I have ever been to where they were insane on taking pictures so my only picture is crap, though I met one of her bandmates after the show.

Yeah it wouldn't been so bad but the director, Roman White, you can tell it's green screen from the video and it's very badly put together. He's a hit or miss with his videos. I hope he doesn't do Last Name, I want to see her go with a different director.

Season One -- didn't watch
Kelly Clarkson (although the last album was a bore)

Season Two
A weak year for me. I was rooting for Kimberley Locke, but her two cds post-Idol were busts.

Season Three
Latoya London was my number one pick, but her post-Idol cd stunk, too.

Season Four
Nadia Turner was my favorite during the season, but now I fawn over Carrie Underwood.

Season Five
There were actually quite a few that I liked this season. I was rooting for a Kat McPhee win, but I wasn't disappointed in Taylor winning as I liked him, too. However, both their post-Idol cds were disappointments to me -- Kat's was AWFUL and Taylor's had a few good songs, but was generally disappointing. I also like Mandisa during the season. Post-Idol, I must admit that I'm a fan of Kellie Pickler. I hated her on the show, but I kinda like her now...and it's not just because of the enhancements

Season Six
My favorite contestant on Idol ever was Melinda Doolittle. I am eagerly waiting for her cd. I was also a fan of Chris Sligh who got voted off way too soon. I liked Blake at times...same with Jordin. Neither of them were great, in my opinion.

Season Seven
David Cook...Brooke White...Carly Smithson...If they were the Top Three, I'd be a happy camper...I know it's not gonna happen, though.

I have been watching since the beginning but I have lost track of who was on which season at this point. So off to look that up. Ok.

Season 1. -- Kelly Clarkson. Liked her, voted for her, was thrilled she won. I just looked at who else was on that season and there was an EJ, RJ and AJ.

Season 2. Clay. It was ALL about Clay that year. And it wasn't that I didn't like Ruben -- he was great too. Just liked Clay a WHOLE lot more. His transformation was just amazing. His voice was so pure. I was PISSED when Ruben won. Vowed I'd never vote again.

Oh... and I was "Hatin' on Trenyce" pretty much all season. Josh and Carmen bugged me too.

Season 3. Anybody BUT Fantasia. Could not stand her. Hated the way she seemed to use her daughter to garner sympathy. It really bothered me. Who else. um... Jon Peter Lewis amused me. But the ONE person I liked that season was George. He just seemed like the NICEST guy, loved his voice, and was so bummed when he left. But he sang that Kiss Of Death AI song "Against All Odds". Please no one, anywhere, ever sing that song again unless your name is Phil Collins. It isn't even that Phil has this great voice but that is HIS song and everyone else sounds horrible. Even the "great" Mariah Carey (where IS that puke smilie I see occasionally?) didn't pull that off. Back to S3. Fantasia won and I vowed I'd never WATCH again. But I got over it.

Season 4 - eh. Liked Carrie and Bo. Savol. Didn't care who even won. I taped the finale and STILL have not watched it. That is how much I cared.

Season 5 -- I was glad Taylor won but was not wild about anyone that season. Again -- eh.

Season 6 -- Liked Jordan, Blake, Melinda and Chris S. Blake won me over when he sang Keane. Didn't hate anyone, didn't love anyone. Was fine with the top 2.

Season 7 -- I have lost my mind. DC is the best EVER.


Except for Clay, not one person I liked on the show has moved me enough to actually buy anything they've released in the post Idol years. This year WILL be different.

I don't own any Idol cds either. Every now and then I download a song or two from iTunes, but a lot of times I "borrow" them from the library and put the songs I like on my iPod.

I own several cds....Rubeun, Jordin, Blake's actually for the wife, Taylor's, Carrie's, McPhee, Pickler....I think thats it....I really like Jordin's and love her duet with Chris Brown "No Air" Oh Josh Gracin. Saw Josh and Taylor in concert. My favorite Performance all time on AI is Taylor's "Levon" but DC's "Billie Jean" is a close second as is a peerformance by Rubeun Just dont remember the song its been so long ago....Who said I dont like the guys....

Okay you guys... wow, this thread is SMOKIN' while I'm sleepin'....

Cute pics, Mandy and Kristy!! I love that one with Kimberly Locke, she is sooo cute.

My faves from the previous years are easy... I chose every winner except Carrie, I was Bo fan.

This year I don't WANT my faves to win, since it seems to be the Achilles Heel.

My least favorites? I couldn't stand Kellie during the show but like her afterwards, A LOT! I am not a fan of Carrie but do like some of her songs! I think I wrote that "Before He Cheats"!!

I liked Clay more AFTER the show, too, but never really disliked him, just LOOOOOVED Ruben so much! Still do!

This year I like more people than any previous year. Of course my two boyfriends.. Oooo and LaLa..... but I also love Jason I'm really liking Brooke and I like Ramiele's voice, even though her personality makes me nauseous ... The studio version of Alone was awesome.

I'm so glad they're putting out the studio versions this year. It makes you just sit down and LISTEN. Sometimes during the show I'm distracted by the background singers, the bad levels and the audience. It's also distracting if they wear something HORRENDOUS, so to listen to it later takes away the distractions. I don't have to see Brookes yellow dress and her GET DOWN moves... ... David A's tongue or Syesha's total lack of connection with me ... just LISTEN. It makes a difference.
