I read every post on this thread, but it doesn't seem like this thread is one where there seems to be a conversation, the sort of give and take that is prevalent on some other threads.
I did want to say I really appreciate everyone who takes the time to critique each performance. Some people I totally disagree with, but I still enjoy seeing the reviews just the same.

Ditto! Some of the comments about contestants I don't care for make me stop and watch/listen to them a bit closer the next week. It's a good group here.

Well, the only 2 I was overly impressed with last night was Vonzell and Scott. Scott started off a little shaky but nailed the rest of it. And as far as his comment to Simon, I wonder how many people would have had a problem with it if it had come from one of the more popular contestants such as Constantine. I am betting a lot of people would be saying how they thought it was great if Constantine had said that to Simon, but since it is Scott, then it was such a terrible thing to do. Personally, I didn't think his comment was meant to be a smart remark and I personally believe what he said is true. He did have the guts to get up there and make his dream happen. There are a lot of people out there that could do it but are not brave enough to. I know I could not do it in a million years. I remember plenty of past performers saying smart things to Simon including Fantasia and Josh Gracin. But I don't remember them getting a lot of flak b/c of it. Oh, well, this is just one more reason for people to hate Scott I guess. I still think he was one of the best last night.

I disagree with that. My favorites from every year were always very good with handling comments from Simon. The judges had some bad things to say to Clay and John Stevens (especially John Stevens) and they always just stood there and took it. Same as with the contestants I like this year. Especially with Anthony when they asked him how he felt about Simon calling his performance "hideous." All of my favorite contestants I liked because of their singing ability and because of their attitudes. I can't imagine any one of them talking back, but if they did, I would be pretty upset...especially if they said something to the effect of what Scott said. Why would I vote for them if they're insulting me?? I just couldn't see myself liking any contestant who was rude like that.

I already didn't like Scott, but that just made me dislike him even more, because that was rude and uncalled for. That's why I didn't like Fantasia. She didn't really bother me at first until she started talking back to Simon, that really annoyed me. I think he should just learn to take the criticism. Hopefully he won't even have to worry about criticism anymore, because he should be going home tonight.

He definitely has the voice of Freddy Mercury, as well as the showmanship. If Queen ever wants to tour again, I think they have found their new front man. Constantine is my new choice for AMERICAN IDOL!!!!

I agree with whoever suggested closing your eyes, it really changes how I hear the song. I noticed that Simon looks down and to his left a lot, so I wonder if that's what he is trying to do too.

Am I crazy or was Simon's hand on Paula's tush when they were all standing together? It was definitely NOT on her waist, but I don't have Tivo to be absolutely sure.

I think (4 yr old had an itchy pj tag attack, lol, so I'm not sure.) it was very close to the end of the show. The three of them were standing real close together for a second and then broke up to sit down. Thanks for checking!

well i went back and looked.. there was one time when it comes back from commercial and they are bothering ryan.. (sticking fingers in his ear and pulling his clothes) and simon's hand starts out on her waist, and then yup yup yup he slips it to her butt.. you really had to be watching though... whoa.. i barely even caught it.. haha

I agree. Millions of people DO have the guts to go up there, they just didn't make the cut. He really needs to keep his mouth shut when he's not singing.

I hope not! But it wouldn't surprise me...I think Bo and Constantine share a fan base and Constantine' outperformed Bo last night so if he got most of the votes....

I think Nadia might go home but I don't know how much of an upset that would be? She was an early favorite but she's failed to shine lately.

For it to qualify as an upset it has to be either Bo, Constantie, Carrie or Vonzell. Personally I hope Carrie goes home.

I think the biggest upset (at least from reading this board) would be Constantine. Scott would not be an upset at all. Maybe Nadia or Anwar would be an upset.
