From the weekly predictions:

Who I want gone: Amanda and Janay
Who I think will be gone: Amanda and Janay

Who I want to be gone: Travis and Constantine
Who I think will be gone: Travis and Nikko

Ooo, I have ESP :rotfl:

Looking back to last night it was pretty funny how Ryan likes to give us all heart attacks. Not so funny at the time!

My biggest cheer was when Scott made it through. I really like him. I don't think he'll go to the top but it's fun to watch him develope into a star.

My favorites: Carrie, Jessica, Nadia, Scott, Anwar and
BO BO BO!!! Unless Bo shoots himself in the foot, I think he's the next American Idol! :Pinkbounc

For all you people who dislike Constantine, don't you think he handled it nicely when Bo got through?

I was definitely disappointed to see Nikko go, and I was even more disappointed to see Mikalya and Constantine get through. I guess that Scott is OK, but lately his look reminds me of Cartman on South Park for some reason :rotfl: I knew that there was no way that Anwar wasn't going through. I asked DH if he even thought that Anwar was nervious sitting up there, and he said "nope!". IMHO he had no reason to be nervous. I'm rooting for Anwar, Bo, and Carrie as the top 3.

Yes I do. I don't "dislike" Constantine. I just don't think he can sing very well. Really listen to his voice next week. Close your eyes. He's all over the place with his pitch. The people who have stood out, to me, have been those who took a song made famous by someone else and made it their own. Constantine tried to sing like Sting and failed miserably.

Right now the two people who can do that the best are Bo and Nadia (IMHO :) )

Constantine isn't by far the greatest singer.. BUT.. he has the perfect voice and presence for his TYPE of music. The type of Rock and Roll he does is not about perfection, it's about originality and finding a niche for yourself. To me, he is doing this just right. Think about it, do you really think Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Anthony Kiedis, Bono.. or even someone like Rod Stewart could have made it to the top 24 or even to Hollywood in this competition? They are all at the top of their genres though.

I haven't been a big follower of American Idol in the past but I can tell you this, I doubt I would have stuck with this show if it was a group of cookie cutter singers doing a perfect imitation of Stevie Wonder. Once Bo, Constantine and Nadia are out of the competition (assuming that one of them might not be the winner) then I doubt I'll continue to watch because there will be nothing left that interests me. I like the type of music they do and I like how they do it.

I guess that is what it boils down to.. your own personal interests.

I guess I'm just not the type that gets excited by perfection in a voice, but instead a good voice and a person that knows what they like and how to showcase it. I want to have fun watching them sing. to me, that is Bo, Constantine and Nadia. But I totally respect you guys that love Anwar and the others.. he is good. He's a beautiful singer and a good looking guy. Just not what I look for in music. I do hope he goes a long way because he does deserve it. I'm sure no matter where he falls in the competition, he will have a recording contract.

I guess I just don't understand why people so passionately hate Constantine to the point where they would call him names. You don't know him. I've never seen him be anything but respectful to the judges, Ryan or the other Contestants.. even last night when he thought he was gone and Bo was moving on.. he was very humble and immediately congratulated him. :confused3 If you don't like how he looks.. well, last time I checked, this wasn't America's Top Model. And to me I think he's adorable. He puts on a bad boy image while singing but looks like a scared 10 yr old when it comes down to the elimination..lol

Just remember, anyone can have a perfect voice at the end of the day after the record producers mix and alter your song. You have to have a special something to make people keep buying and to come see you in concert.

You did hear him butcher Sting, didn't you? This guy is BRUTAL. I think people like his personna more than they take into account his real musical talent. He's more of a performer than a singer. To me he sounds like a poor man's John Waite ( lead singer from a band called The Baby's, for the youngsters on the board ).

A little disapponted but not surprised. Nikko was much better than Constantine last night but I suppose he has the teenage hormone vote...

Nikko should have stayed!!!! I am so disappointed that he got sent home. :(

I can't complain too much.. I had to TiVo it and watched it this morning, so I couldn't vote.

That's putting it mildly.

He was quite gracious though when Bo was told he was moving on and he wasn't. Gotta give him credit for that.

::yes:: :cheer2: :banana:

Obviously Scott is not going to win, but it just felt so good to see him make it to the Final 12! He is an excellent singer, I feel he deserved to make it through last night, but even more, I'm glad that this is one more thing that shows his father that Scott is not a "loser".

I totally agree. In fact, I think I said something similar a couple pages ago! :)

Yup. You nailed it ML. This is exactly what its about. Finding a niche and standing apart from the others.

I didn't see the show, but heard about it this morning. The only one I was sorry to see go was Nikko, he was #3 for me. :(

Yes, he sure did. I'm not a Constantine fan but I have to explain why: Ever since I saw that pic of him all dressed up in drag singing with his band, that's all I can picture when I see him!! lol

I'm a Bo kind of girl :goodvibes

Here's hoping that Mikalah is the first one voted off next week. She is SOOO irritating. My faves are Bo, Carrie and Nadia. Hoping that Bo takes it!

I'm just such a Bo fan now. He really makes watching the show worthwhile. :flower:

I was worried that Scott Salvo wasn't going to make it into the top twelve. I'm glad that he did!

Who is the girl with the long hair and really low voice? I am not fond of her singing and I didn't think that she should make it in, but she did! Oh well! :cool1:

I have to agree and disagree with this statement. I agree when you say that Constantine is not the best singer in this competition.

I disagree because the singers you listed above, with a somewhat excpetion of Rod Stewart, made it big because of the songs/hits that they and their bands wrote, not because they are technically amazing singers (which they are not).

But as a voter for American Idol, I'm going to always try to vote for the best voice. Yes, Constantine may be original with his sub-par voice and that is why this competition may not be his cup of tea. He could do great in a band where he could focus on his vocal strengths but I think he is out of his comfort zone on American Idol.

I would wonder if he would still be in this competition if it were broadcast over the radio and not TV.

Plus we aren't voting for Rod Stewart LOL!

I am sorry, but Constantine doesn't do it for me. I think when he gets out of his "comfort zone" he is going to try and get by with the "devil may care" attidude. Maybe it will work, but.....

I am satisfied with the way the votes ended up. I bet the 6 at the end, probably were the six lowest vote getters. Having said that, other than my man Bo, I am going to wipe the slate clean for everyone to start fresh. I think the different themes will certainly separate the men from the boys, girls from the ladies or Randy's "dawgs from the puppies!"
