Wow.....somehow I missed that picture when it was first posted. Dang! That boy is hot.

Anyhoo, I really think Paula was wrong in telling Janay's fans to vote for her, but I think she was softening the blow that Simon was sure to give. And in true character, did give. I've gotten to the point where I have to mute him. I'm all for constructive criticism, but I think he is unnecessarily cruel.

Of the judges, I like Randy best. He offers advice, praise and criticism, and he's always kind. I can see his good heart shining through every time he has to let one of these kids down.

I think that, unfortunately, a lot of white America sees the dreadlocks and develops a certain dislike for the person, which hinders the ability to judge objectively. IF he had a different hairstyle, he would be much better received by mainstream America. You can disagree all you want, but I see it allllll the time.

Well I live in mainstream white Canada so we have a different history with race relations. However, I never thought dreads were perceived negatively in North America. Aren't they based on rastafari? Bob Marley never had an image problem. Personally, I think dreads are extremely hot - and they add to Anwar's friendly good-guy image.

OMG He his a hottie... Dreads are very very sexy. I found the dreads comment very insensitive as well. As a white woman, I find AA men very very attractive. Anwar is sooo cute!

Amanda - she has an ok voice, pretty but her performances are usually
forgetible


Janay - she is just horrible - I thought she should have left the first week.
I hope she doesn't stick around like the red headed kid last year.


Carrie - I think she has one of the best voices this year. Her last few song
choices havent done much for me but I think she is good.


Vonzell - I think her voice is ok but not good enough to win.


Nadia - she is one of the most unique performers this year. I always enjoy
her performance. Not necessarily the best voice but she definately
has the "it" factor.

Lindsey - I have hated every song she has done and its not because of her
voice. I really like the tone of her voice but I'm still waiting for her
to pick a song that will showcase it.

Mikaylah - she really annoys me personality wise. Her performance last night
was awful.

Jessica - she has a strong voice and I like listening to her but she doesn't
have the "it" factor.


For the guys - I love Anwar - good-looking, sweet and talented. Wow.

Cant wait to watch tonight!

Seriously, I hope (and predict) Janay will be gone. . .possibly Lindsay.

What can I say--they didn't impress me much. My 16 y/o son wouldn't even watch last night. In his words: ". . .they're just a bunch of eye candy. . .the guys have the talent". . .so true! That said, I can't believe he didn't want to watch for the "eye candy" part!

Last night was mostly painful to watch for me. I was really disappointed in most of their performances. It was made worse because the guys were so good for the most part on Monday night.

Janay has to go and I hope she takes Mikalah with her. I think that Janay will end up leaving but I am afriad that Lindsey or Amanda will be going home in her place.

Last night I was most impressed by Nadia and Jessica. I thought that Janay and Mikalah were horrible. Carrie was good. The rest were just OK.

As far as the guys....I am not a huge Bo fan but I do like Anwar and I am just about the whitest white girl out there. I really don't like Travis or Mario and I hope they are gone tonight. I have also never been a huge Scott or Constantine fan so if he goes it won't break my heart. I did really like Nikko and that suprised me because when we started with the 24 I really figured he would be gone pretty quickly. I hope he stills around for at least a few more weeks.

She has a good voice but there is something missing.
I also do not like Bo or Anwar. I think that there are better and also I guess it's just the way I am but I don't like to like people that so many others like. Both Bo and Anwar have enough fans to get them far without me being one of them.

I was very frustrated with Randy last night. Everyone was "just okay" for him except for Jessica. While I agree that the guys are much better than the girls, there still were some good performances last night.

I was very happy when Ryan got Simon with the water. He deserved that.

Amanda: Nope, just didn't do it for me. A fast song that she sang too slow and there's no stage presence there. Score: 2

Janay: Actually I thought this was the best performance she's given. Having said that, it was still BAD. She needs to go!! Score: 2

Carrie: Didn't care for her outfit. She needs to be who SHE is. This is two weeks in a row she hasn't done that. Still she has one of the nicest voices. Score: 3.5

Vonzell: Fun performance but not a great voice. Score: 3

Nadia: WOW! Last night she had it all. Score: 5+

Lindsey: She has an OK voice but most of the song was way too low for her abilities. Score: 3

Mikalah: Another one who sang out of her range. She was also out of tune for much of it. Score: 2.5

Jessica: Got the DH vote. I also thought she was quite good but that was because of her singing. Score: 4.5

Who I want gone: Amanda and Janay

I see Mikalah as a cross between Fran Drescher, Barbara Streisand and Bette Midler. She doesn't mix it well unfortunately If she makes it through this week, then she needs to go back to who she is. Then, people will either love it or hate it. The way she was last night, didn't please anyone.

Well lif Janay doesn't get voted out tonight, I don't think I can stand to watch any more because then it's obviously become a "popularity contest" and not a singing competition.

Would love to see Lindsay also go. Don't know what it is, but I can never understand a word she is singing....it's like she's got a mouth full of marbles.

Unfortunately, I think Mikkalah (sp?) will be going. I think Simon was correct when he told her that her personality was what got her as far as she was and it's just not there any more. My DH says she reminds him of Streisand (and then she goes and sings one of her songs last night...lol).
